  1. Strong atmospheric eroge with horror elements hmmmm...

The first thing that comes to my mind is Sayonara wo Oshiete  - a denpa title that utilizes these elements really good, plus the distinctive writing definitely adds a lot to the atmosphere as well. It doesn't have a translation yet, and well the eroge itself is very old now. However, I think it's what you're looking for.

Edit: ah I just saw someone recommending this title already lol

  2. Thanks for the thread Rose, this is surely an interesting topic enough for me to exit my hermit cave and write a post here again lol.

Anyway, although I am Vietnamese I have been living and studying in Russia for many years. That's why I ended up being in these two communities at once. Interesting to compare those two: while the majority of Vietnamese visual novel readers prefer moege and stragedy-based eroges (like AliceSoft games), the audience of visual novels in Russia mostly consists of females (not the case with anime/manga though) and therefore otome novels are more dominant there. I might actually be wrong about the Russian community though because I also only passively stalk their forums and stuff, rarely engaging in conversations, but it is a fact that the biggest translation groups focus on otome novels. Maybe a Russian fuwanoveler could help me out with this.

On the other side, I actively participate in the Vietnamese VN community, and I can say that the only big visual novel forum hosts many successful fan translations. There are many good translators and editors there, though the community seriously needs more good hackers.

  3. Hey there Koukousei, it's me - the guy who replied to you on habluka's translation page. Too bad you guys couldn't cooperate, but nevertheless congratulations. You seems very serious about this project, so I think it would definitely be successful. Supreme Candy is definitely the best eroge Makura has released and my personal favorite. Wish I could help, but I have no skills in translating and editing.

  4. Hmmm, my opinion is basically as that of seventhfonist425. However, there are somethings that I want to note:

    1. It's better off if you had some knowledge in the Japanese language itself. If you choose to go down the "ITH + TA route" you can even toggle Mecab + Jparser - they can help you understand more of each Japanese words that ITH hooked (which are really useful if ATLAS couldn't translate a part of a sentence).

    2. LEC Power Translator - now this shit is really good at times (even better than ATLAS), but also sucks when it comes to standard sentences that ATLAS can handle without any sweat. I recommend using it together with the combination above.

This combo only failed me a few times (mostly when ITH doesn't hook properly), so I really recommend it to anyone who got tired of waiting for English patches.

  5. Decided to take a break after 2 hours of reading Grisaya, I stumped across this - should I say - interactive story named ImmorTall. It should only take 3 minutes to be finished. A worthwhile experience for me at least, though I do see many other gamers having mixed feelings about this interactive story.

There are two endings, the first one can be achieved by everyone at the first playthrough, while the second will be obtained by moving back to your ship after the first block. The message ImmorTall conveys is pretty clear, but I actually have 2 interpretations on the matter.

I recommend this to everyone. Those who have played this, please share your thoughts!

PS: The music has the most impact on the atmosphere, so don't mute it!

  6. Actually, I use Makina's and Kazuki's trick for reading (joking, lol. I don't know if that's even possible, specially with VNs)

I also don't know about the others, but besides having a fast reading speed I pulled of a marathon to finish grisaia~

It's my usual way to finish VNs. Unless I have to spend more than 50 hours with them, I always read them at once. (My reading speed is about 2 times faster than your average folk. I finished grisaia in about 15-20 hours)

Holy crap that's wayyy too fast!! If I remembered correctly the VN itself is more than 100MB raw text. Even my mother, who reads a French dictionary like a novel lol couldn't pull that off.

Anyway I've finally finished Makina's route.

What I can say right now is the route didn't meet my expectations, or rather, it felt uncompleted. Going through both endings, so many questions left unanswered. Not to mention Makina beat the crap out of 2 CIA agents before she got shot.

    :P

Next up is my favorite girl - Amane!

I also like JB for her hilariousness. Her relationship with Yuuji is really interesting, and I don't know how to classify that relationship yet.

  7. You guys are really fast at reading. Seriously, I'm only at the climax of the first route a.k.a Makina's.

Not sure if it's a spoiler, but just in case, I put the tag on.

Yuuji: As a wise man said, "There's no woman in the world more troublesome than your mother". It's a little hard to say this to her own daughter, but I don't think it's possible to phrase this both gently and accurately. I'm going to be frank here. Your mom's a sociopathic bitch.

These lines always crack me up.

  8. It's definitely an easy win for Makoto in this thread, but the School Days manga is better than the anime. Actually I recommend everyone who have watched the anime to at least try the manga out. Makoto is still responsible for the bizarre ending LOL, but is much less of a dick. Character developments are way better in the manga by the way.

  9. Hey there buddy! Welcome to Fuwanforum!

You can find almost all of the popular translated titles here in Fuwanforum. Just follow what Aaeru said from above and you'll be done with learning in no time.

  10. Welcome, welcome! Hope we'll get along! >.<

hey again, sorry but i set the locale to japanese, but i get a window with a blue screen and words on it and a window with an X onthe side and japanese text with another small window that has a few butons on it

    can i get some help?

Which Window are you using? 7? 8? XP?

  11. I found one using Google: Muv Luv Walkthrough

You can also request it and other things in Fuwanforum's Download and Requests section.

Edit: Looks like I got the wrong thing for you. My apologies, I haven't read the VN myself. I'll try to find it now.

Edit 2: I found some people mentioning this on a forum:

There is only one ending, your choices won't make a difference. will only affect a scene by the end of the game which is related to the girl that you got more points with.
  12. Hey there Jakeman777. Welcome to Fuwanforum!

Hope we'll get along. I really love Chrono Cross by the way! Leena and her pan FTW! And its soundtracks are wonderful!

    hey welcome

i didnt even know about this game radical dreamers

i wonder if i should upload it?

Radical Dreamers is actually a RPG in Square Enix's Chrono series if I remember correctly.

  13. Aiyoku no Eustia is definitely worth a try. It is the best August game out there.

Recommendations huh? *Fanboy mode* Try Supreme Candy. This is by far my favorite eroge. Half light half dark atmosphere, witches, magicians, hidden main heroine, epic final scenario, pumpkins and candies - just everything you need! Plus, the protagonist is a damn bad-ass!

The main plot is not as mentally deep as Eustia, but is much more complicated and stunning. It's a surprise how they can mix lighthearted comedy and romance with brain-melting main plot. And I LOVE EM ALL!!!

I can rant 2 pages of essay right now, but you get the idea. :P Now go and pick up the eroge!

  14. First things first, I like your title! Yo! B)

And yep, your English is in a whole different level than mine. That's for sure.

There is a eroge with a freaking jerk protagonist that I'm pretty sure everyone likes, me included. It's the infamous Sengoku Rance. You should try it, but be warned that the game is addicting as hell. It took my precious 2 weeks of exam preparations. >.<

Anyway, welcome to Fuwanforum! Hope we'll get along! >.<
