  1. Simply epic? I'd say it has to be Saihate no Ima. I don't even know how to explain it. I'll just say that a hidden twist will Rewrite (oh Saihate's author is the same author that writes Moon and Terra Routes) your whole thought towards the eroge.

And of course Supreme Candy. I may be this VN's fanboy, but you gotta say Hesperus Route is epic. I never believed people saying this game has no plot holes, but if that was a spar, then I'd lost my bet.

  2. Changed my life? :o

It's a difficult question, because I see life-changing experiences (in this case manga/anime/visual novel) as lessons for the most part. Almost all of the Vns and Mangas that I've read - I read for entertainment, so it's very hard to actually pick the ones that are awe-inspiring...

Hmmm, I know for certain that the manga named [Ai-Ren] changed me. I've never been in despair, I've never thought that death could be that close, I've never known what the true meaning of hope and life means. Reading this definitely made me rethink of what I've done, I am doing and I'll do.

As for VNs, I'll say that one of Akane Senri's statement in her route of the infamous Rewrite really made me thinking. Something like: "To make a decision does not only mean to choose something. It also means to give away something else." I'm sticking to that principle for life.

  3. I'm now playing Koihime Musou, I know the story of the Three Kingdoms since I've played a lot of Dynasty Warriors and I've read Ikkitousen, so I don't pay too much attention to the war movements and strategic meetings, though that depends on my mood at the time I reach some meeting.

I had actually read the Three Kingdom's book that was translated to my native language. It's freaking long with damn too many characters. It's interesting to see how it can be adapted to a visual novel. I'll give this game a try soon enough.

  4. Eng TL'ed, Yaoi< Not for The Moment> Yuri < Go >, Futanari < Someday >, Otome < Hope For A Miracle >

<< Reading JP is still a long way to go>> Probably could take me Half- a year to 2 years depending on how serious I am>

I'm a damned fast learner>> Since It's the only thing that supplements my Laziness>

Since just today, I restarted my learning of JP in the most Lazy way Here >>

Hmmmm, then I suppose you've read almost every translated VNs both in and out of Fuwan... I need time too think Grawww!

  5. It's a shame it wasn't just a tad bit longer.

Yeah I agree, I really liked the setting of Planetarian. It made the ending even more tear-jerking and heart-wrenching. KEY should do post-apocalyptic games more often!

Agree with you on the post-apocalyptic thing!

Hmmm, I don't find the ending that much tear-jerking. It is certainly sad, but it didn't make a strong impact on me. What really did make me fall for this VN was

the part when Hoshino told the Junker about the stars, the Earth and humanity. (The Gentle Jena part)

So I've finished Cross+Channel's Tower of Friends a week ago (I think). I don't really get what this scenario has to do with the main plot. I mean for me it's just a

bad end with too little plot in it.

If someone can explain to me what ToF do, it'll be a great help.

I can't believe I'm still busy even though it's in the middle of summer. I'll stop reading for a while... but not too long! B)/>

  6. Hey there Yukioni, welcome to Silent Hill Fuwaforum! >.<

I hope we get along too! I haven't read Clannad and Kanon but I've seen the animes. However, I think the enjoyment Clannad and Kanon VNs bring must be better.

So, who is your favorite girl? B)

    Konnichiwa minna~! I'm Yami~

i am an ultra otaku, and a fujoshi, though i do like yuri as well as yaoi! Maybe not as much, but still! ima very open to any and every genre of anime/manga, so if you have any good ones i should watch, letting me know would be much appreciated!

I hope we can be friends, minna~!

    Konichiwa Yami!

I don't watch Anime that much but recently Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita caught my eyes. The Anime is strange but also really creative. I haven't finished it though, but it hasn't failed me yet.

I'm still on pace. Just finished Chapter 3. Plan is to do 3 chapters tomorrow. I will prove them wrong!

If you actually go through chapter 6 today, I bet you won't stop just yet because... DAMN that last part is awesome!!!! >.<

On a side note, now that I'm free, I'll start reading VNs again. Clearing my backlog has the first priority. I think I'll start with Cross Channel's ToF.

  8. Hey there Azaki-chan! Welcome to Fuwaforum!

Wish I knew French, coz I love this song: Quelqu'un m'a dit. :P

Maybe we should make a band, I know how to play the guitar too, but only classic though.

    Hope we'll get along!

  9. Glad to hear that! However, reading a machine translation could be really annoying, because there will be times that you won't understand a thing.

    Anyways, these are my suggestions:

    - Makura's Supreme Candy. Don't judge the book by its cover. The real plot is hidden beneath the high school romance and it is absolutely fantastic. This VN is my personal favorite.

    - If one of your favorites is Cross Channel, then you should try J.Q.V and definitely Saihate no Ima. The first, I think, is a doujinshi VN inspired by Tanaka Romeo, and the latter is another mind-blowing brain-squeezing piece of art created by Romeo himself. I haven't read these, but they got many positive feedbacks (and look at the scores!).

  10. What favorite manga would you suggest for me/friends/strangers to read? What are you reading and loving? I hope to download and read some suggestions, but this thread can be for much more than that :)/>/>. I'm looking forward to seeing what we're all reading and enjoying!

Yeah, I think the suggestions depend on whom you'll suggest Manga to.

    1. If it's Tay-chan and the ones who are familiar with Mangas: I'll suggest Watashi no Messiah-sama, written by Minazuki Suu. You guys probably knew the famous Sora no Otoshimono (eh eh I claim Hiyori-chan my waifu, so don't you dare...). Watashi no Messiah-sama is Suu-sensei's first work, i assume. The plot isn't something new, but Suu-sensei really did a good job in bringing his characters to life. The first chapters are just normal, but the storyline gets more and more interesting as I proceed. Then there's the ending. I'm not going to spoil here, but let's just say the ending is inevitable, tragedic and happy at the same time. It left me thinking for a couple of days.

    2. If they're the ones who are new to Mangas: Definitely Doraemon. It is this manga that brought me to the amazing Japanese culture.

  11. thanks!

Do you know any good yet not really well known VN? I already played basically everything well-known, so that's why I'm asking. It can be about anything- I don't really care since I like almost all kinds of VNs

Hey Kaguya-chan and welcome to FuwaForum! >.<

Enjoy the time here. I hope we'll get along.

Hmmm, almost all of the famous VNs out here have already been or is being translated into English, so if you have read everything well-known, I'll suggest tackling some non-translated VNs. There are so many hidden gems there! You can always use some machine translation programs if you don't know Japanese like me!

If you're up to it, then I can suggest some of the good ones! >.<

On a side note, Yuri is my favorite character in the Angel Beats! series.

  12. Recently I've finished two routes, Asuho and Isuzu, in Hoshimemo and so far the game is kinda meh to me. Of the two I liked Asuho's better, but overall the game is still not that great. The only thing that kept me playing (I normally don't do long VNs) was the gorgeous art and wanting to get to the true end.

Yeah, I agree that Hoshimemo is not that great of a VN. However, there are a few really good BGMs and the protagonist is likable. I'd say guys like him could get a girlfriend in no time. The art is awesome too, especially the SDs.

Chinami annoys the hell outta me, but in my opinion, her route was the best, defeating even the True route. Kinda ironic, coz my favorite girl is the True route girl! B)

  13. You came up with quite an interesting topic :P

What about you yourself Mouse? How do you schedule your VN reading time?

Hmmmm, in the meantime I don't have much free time because my exams are right behind my back. However, usually I have about 5 hours of free time each day and I spend 1 and a half playing sports with my friends, not everyday though. All of the remaining time is dedicated to VN, Manga and Skype  . I rarely watch Anime for various reasons.
