Tom
Whenever i open cc-eng (or the shortcut) to launch the game it will appear in windowed mode. So naturally the 1st thing u go to settings and set the game up to ur liking. So what happens? once u done seting it up and want to exit the settings the game stops responding. And this also happens when i want to start the game in windowed mode. additional details: when i launch the game it changes my windows 7, 32-bit, home premium color scheme
Nosebleed
Changing the color theme is normal. It happens to me too and doesn't really affect anything and it goes back to normal once you exit the game. Did you try compatibility modes/run as admin? Guest
Did you try to simply alt+enter the game. I didn't touch the setting so I don't know if any problems could occur but maybe try without touching it. *advice from someone who doesn't understand anything to computers*

Luch
Stop the torrent if it is still seeding and uncheck read-only from cross channel folder properties.
Tom
Stop the torrent if it is still seeding and uncheck read-only from cross channel folder properties. yea, i was seeding, then stopped it and unchecked the read-only, but still not working here maybe something interesting, when i click start game it shows this and then stops working, seems like the fonts r not intact also saw few ppl having the same problem but no solution other VNs r working fine, this one is a buggy one i guess
Nosebleed
Do you have japanese locale set up? There is a costum font that comes with our torrent titled "Inconsolata" I didn't need to do anything with it but if you're having issues with the font just install it manually. Either move it to the fonts folder or right click the font and select install
Luch
Does it still crash when changing settings? Also quote from the readme by Amaterasu Translations: Error 3: Fullscreen/Windowed mode setting not saving. Solution: The cause of this is unknown but the fix seems to be to launch using the CD and change the configuration there.

Luch
Sounds like some files are still read-only. Remove all files that have .dat extension from the folder and try again. Tom
