So I don't know if this is do-able or not but it's worth giving a shot. Recently there has been more demand for unexisting hacking tools on the Data extraction thread. (For recent games youcould say) I'm far from wanting to leave these demands unanswered but I - as a non computer science student - am unfortunately unable YET to help these future translators in hacking their game. I know a tutorial of that sort was made by user Proger on his blog 4 years ago. I have many questions for hackers whose answers will be the trigger -or not- to an attempt at making a hacking tutorial on t
My Japanese friend and I decided to try translating a very short visual novel together. He's very serious about getting into the VN translation, so I decided to help him with the extraction/insertion of text. Does anybody know of any good tutorials on this topic? I have a bachelor in CS, but my hacking experience is almost nil (I once made a simple aimbot for Cube Assault following a dll injection tutorial). I would be very grateful if anyone here who has experience with VN cracking could share his learning sources. No big hopes up, but we are going to try our best, and possibly see it all

Now, I'm not really the type who would translate stuff, because it's quite some work. But- I want to give it a try anyways. Trying new things is a good thing, right? It's about the se.arc file (I guess se stands for "scenario
Hello, I'm MetalUpa1014. If you already know about me, you know that I was the first person to suggest doing a translation for Chunsoft's critically acclaimed sound novel 428: In A Blockaded Shibuya. Well today, I'm here to make a big announcement. Me and my team members have basically decided to postpone 428 indefinitely in favor of doing the game's "prequel" Machi. Machi was originally released for the Sega Saturn and PS1 in 1998, later receiving a remake on PSP in 2006. As a "prequel" that exists in the same to universe as 428, we view it as making more sense to first translate the orig
