  1. Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun was great up until the ending. Judging from the sales, I doubt we will get a season 2 also. So much disappointment in the ending. (Also Natsume is the best).

Sales weren't that bad though. Lots of good anime get much worse sales.

But like most 1-cour manga adaptation, it's just meant to promote the manga and get some sales off the manga popularity. Thus the ending, or rather the absence of ending.

  2. lol if I added up all the anime ive seen it would take 2 years to do. haha

If one day you take the time to build up a MAL account or something like that, i'd like to see what it'll be like...

the ~300 are the ones i've actually finished. there are more than i've been willing to count that aren't on my list because i didn't make it past the first 4 episodes. the number is also shorter than it should be, because i count spin offs and sequals as the same series. Some people count the different Da Capo series as different anime, for example. i do not. Fate/Stay and Fate/Zero would be another example.

Well even then, iirc there's like 3500 different anime currently, and you can probably safely assume there's SOMEONE out there who saw that 5 OAV serie from 1984 or that obscure season show from 2001 you've never even heard off. I mean, we even have one of those guys here in this thread :P and I'm not even sure Ryoji would take a bet like that...

  3. Greetings from the otherside of the internet. Interwebs, if you will. I am Eldin, and there's a pretty good chance none of you have seen an anime that I have not, at the least, watched 2-3 episodes of. I have finished roughly 300 titles, which includes, for the most part, also watching accompanying OVA's, movies, ect. I even managed to stomach an episode of My Little Pony, but we will not speak of this. Ever.

Little Busters was my first Visual Novel type game, and it wasn't even what I was looking for to begin with. I was looking for more of a Galge type game, the ones where you go grind stats and wander around and raise flags to pick up chicks and whatever. I'm poor at disrcibing things, but I think most of you get what I mean. Nonetheless, after watching up to episode (6? the episode where komari finds out about her brother and subsiquently goes wtfnuts.) I was reluctant to start it, but a dude type fellow whom I play mmo's with told me to give it a chance, and so I did. Despite how I assumed the anime was going to go, and hence why i stopped watching when i did, the VN was actually pretty decent and caused me to go back and continue the series. I'll give it 168 points.

Since then I've tried several more found on this site, and was all "Holy balls, when they say 18+, they mean it..." And now here I am, joining your forum community in the high hopes that somewhere out there one of you has seen an anime that I haven't and is as willing to share titles and reviews as I am.

    -Eldin

That guy who probably watches too much anime

Dude, with 300 titles I don't think you've even watched all the good animes out there :P I wouldn't take that kind of bet before having watched at least 500-600 titles ^^"

    Anyway, welcome here.

  4. Guess I should do a "Coming Soon: Anime Movies" Thread??

Call it: "Sadness Because We Won't See Any Of Those Before At Least 6 Months After The Date : The Thread" <_<

Still 2 months before Eva 3.0 BDs... several months before HxH: Phantom Rouge... Nanoha 2nd in 18 days...

The 5th really is the best (and longest I think), especially the soundtrack... When is the new movie airing again?

Mirai Fukuin is still just a trailer, no date yet

I have to try very hard to not go read it before. Urgh.

I think the fifth is the greatest too, it has pretty much everything that makes KnK so amazing... But they're all great anyway :o

  5. Quick advice regarding anti-viruses (since I assume you're using windows): always do your usual stuff in a non-admin session. Create an admin session you only use to do admin stuff and when you need to install something, run it as an admin. Just not having administrator rights trump down the basic viruses. Of course that won't stop the legion of more elaborated viruses but well, there's never enough protection when you know that your computer is the target of a virus attack every 4 minutes on average...

  6. Hello there!

You'll find legions of Key fans like you here.

I also have a long list of vns like F/SN, Tsukihime,

Good, good, get down to it as soon as you can. Tsukihime is awesome and probably my favorite VN!

I also like to draw in my free time although I haven't lately. (art blog) One of my goals is to provide art for an (preferably bishoujoge over otomege OTL) amateur/fan-made? (sorry for my word choice here) visual novel.

Your art is nice! And I think a lot of people are looking for art in order to make a VN... I think there was a topic about that not too long ago...

  7. haha Ive been a Anime fan since the 80s Down. There will NEVER be an anime that surprises me or comes off as new. But no matter what, I always find a few series each season that Kotomi and I really enjoy. Ill always be a fan of Anime as it has brought my family immense joy.

I guess you just have to keep an open mind and don't go into them with preconceived notions of whats good and whats not. Meh, just my opinion.

Well, I think it's great to have such dedication after being into anime for so long!

Still, it should be possible to find some new stuff once in a while. For some genres I just don't mind, but in others it's kind of tiring seeing something you've already seen when it's not THAT great...

  8. Aside from the currently airing stuff, i'm watching:

-RahXephon (lot of stuff was taken from Eva but not everything, and they're doing it right so it's pretty good)

    -Last Exile

-Ghost in the Shell : Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig (This is absolutely AWESOME. Really. Like, better than season 1 that was already one amongst the greatest)

And I have some long series I watch a couple episodes of every now or then: Sket Dance, Futari wa Precure (yay mahou shoujo) and Ranma 1/2.

Airing anime, I mentioned in the other topic I believe...

  9. I always wondered, do many people play Visual Novels with walkthroughs? Doesn't it spoil the atmosphere of the game?

Almost always. I don't always follow a walkthrough but I need to at least know some stuff like how is the game structure organized, otherwise i'd be afraid to miss scenes.

Unless the gameplay is really worth it, I don't bother trying to get a route blindly.

(I don't think it spoils anything, depending on what kind of game you play)

  10. Vote for it and ill see what i can do. Though I will say, Muv Luv Alternative, as far as I know, doesn't have ANY walkthrough available. So it would have to be made completely from scratch. The first Muv Luv I have mostly done just need to reformat it for the forum..

All the more a reason to do it! (if you have time...) Plus I heard Alternative was even better than Muv-Luv. I think i'll vote for it since it's quite high on my VNs-to-do list. Although that doesn't mean much on such a kilometric list.

  11. Exam status: done

    Hassle stuff status: mostly done

Anime backlog status: still loaded as fuck but whatever

Now I can get back to my dear VNs. I plan on going a bit further in Higurashi, then i'll FINALLY try out a Key VN, since basically 70% of the forum is made of Key fans I feel a bit shameful never having played any.

    So, DLing Clannad right now.
