Being a newbie as well, I second your opinion about Fuwanovel being one of the friendlier forums. I like how trolling is very minimized and that everyone is mature about their passion and opinions. There are also plenty of activity around with innumerable projects that needs helping. If you really want to help a project, I suggest researching around for a project you're interested in, see if they need your help, and approach them directly --- rather than to passively wait. Goodluck with your Japanese studies. My advice for you is to get exposed as much as possible to any Japanese. Corpse party is gore and horror-themed. I know people can get turned off by that, so play it at your discretion.

What genre do you like? I suggest you start a small-medium length VN first. But if you happen to like a long VN and get immersed in it, that's A-ok!. I'll see what I can recommend you~ Little Busters is always good I suppose

It seems almost impossible to land a non-English teaching job from scratch. Almost all the jobs I see are either: not sponsoring visas, require Native/Business-Japanese level, or worse, NOT entry level. Like what was said before, best option seems to be: go to Japan one way or the other and make connections. Well, that's also true for any other country I suppose (I speak only for the US). Connections make or break here. Allows you to bypass hundreds of competition with just one good referral.

@meru It sucks that it's too late for me to switch to what's in-demand in Japan. But I think what's even worse is that I fear they wouldn't bother hiring foreigners for an entry level position. I find it already difficult to find an entry-level position here in the U.S. I guess there isn't really much realistic chance for me to get in Japan other than English teaching, unless with #3 and I raise my Japanese into native fluency... Somehow. You uttered the magic word which I think applies anywhere in the world when it comes to jobs: "Connection". Tough...

What other job fields would it be viable to get into Japan other than English-teaching?

Playing Guided Fate Paradox on ps3. Man I haven't played that kind of game in so long since Chocobo Dungeon 2. Also the graphics and designs seems too underwhelming for a ps3. Did they just import the data from the Vita version or something?

Hey everyone! I'm new to the fuwanovel forums (and community). You can call me rains. My (NEET) life has been dry lately and I have been wanting to join some sort of community to get myself to have some drive. I honestly have no idea how to start getting into the community.
