The steam release was a scam from the start, as evidenced by how they tried to hire people who had no formal translator work on their resume despite the intense difficulty of the game in terms of text. All this means now is that CSG is likely to never get an improved translation ever.
-
The simple fact of "what is the longest book ever written" is a subject of constant debate by scholars. Why is it a surprise VN's are no different?
-
FYI, I don't see the Hello Goodbye situation as Steam "hating anime games". It's just very poorly managed and filtered due to the sheer scale of the service.

Update for those curious: Finally, after considerable delay, completed editing. Now in progress of figuring out how to get the article out there.

Understood, Decay-san.

Muramasa is from what I've heard really long, difficult and brutal, and it's very popular among JoP's and highly requested for an official localization as well. Maybe it's because Nitro+ is deeply respected while no one can even name the dev that did CSG?
-
Don't even see it mentioned by JoP's.
I know it's technically not Isekai, but "Guy gets sent back to fuduel Japan to take part in the 47 Ronin, only much of the cast are genderbent into hot chicks" is likely to give people the same sort of impression.

CSG intrigues me. It's a work that I know garners a fair bit of acclaim, but it's highly esoteric and I rarely if ever see people discuss it. I guess because the premise is rather off-putting to anyone burnt out on poor quality Isekai, and it's difficult to do a relatively detailed but cohesive description of why one should read it.

So the protag isn't an overpowered Gary Stu? Huh...

Ah nope, Heard extremely bad things about it. Either way even if it was good, I would probably play the original for accuracy.
What's CSG like then?

Is the version of the CSG you're reading the "localization"?

These two most likely only delete anime games they think nobody would notice disappearing. No deleting Koikuma for example, that made way too much money.
To be honest, I hadn't even heard of Hello Goodbye's existence prior to this incident.

Oh, whoops. Mixed it up with Asairo.

Isn't Amairo a no go since Propeller's dead?

Drawings arent real so they dont have rights and neither ages....You can commit mass murders in several popular western game, yet as I recall murder also illegal in RL. So by ur logic everything should be banned in games thats illegal in RL... Damn, SJW's allows no fun in games
SJW's are completely ass-backwards in their ethics.
How many VNs have lolis that act children? I feel like that's a dying trope.

This video does a pretty good job of explaining why people, namely yuri fans, like SeaBed.

It's apparently quite good, but has been vastly outclassed in critical reception and discussion by its seccsessor. You know, "Best Romance VN of All Time" and all.
-
Basically, if you want yuri that doesn't fall into certain trappings, your best option is to just read works that have yuri in them but aren't actually yuri.

It's from 1998 sooooo....I doubt it.

Finally got to play the remastered edition of Highway Blossoms, probably being around the 1/3 of the game. It's really quite a charming experience so far - I especially like how naturally the romance is developing, with only subtle cues on the protagonist's preference and growing attraction to Marina. The production values are really nice two and the full voice acting is pleasantly consistent - maybe not amazing by any means, but it stays on this very solid level where I can quite reliably say it's adding to the experience.
I cannot force myself to download the h-patch and spoil the cuteness though (I might check them out after finishing the story, but somehow just as much as yuri romance is my thing, yuri porn isn't). If anyone has any insights on the sex scenes in this VN (the quality, number, length etc.) and would be willing to share them, they would make a major contribution towards my upcoming review and earn my eternal gratitude.
From what I've read, they're meant for character, not fanservice. One of them is deliberately meant to be not sexy and more just really awkward.

Flowers is basically a love letter to old yuri, drama and all. If you're into that stuff, read it, if you're not into it, don't.
-
Another blow to Sekai.
Also, this means I have an old version of a game. Neat.
What’s the longest Visual Novel?

Well, plenty of VNs aren't fully written by their authors. Are they automatically discounted?
