  1. Short post to bump this, I need a few more responses from you guys. I would really appreciate if you take the time to answer, and also HUGE thanks to everyone who already gave their opinions on it.
  2. Fixed, "other" should be available now, thanks for the heads-up! If I miss something else, please tell me as it's my first attempt at a proper development cycle.
  3. I know and have considered those platforms, but due to my lack of experience with the platform and development concerning it I didn't consider it in the choices, since it wouldn't be wise to do a lot of firsts at once.
  4. Hi people, today I've come with a request: I will try and make a simple VN for my final project in college, and I need your support in answering a short survey. All responses will be appreciated and helpful to the direction the project will take. Thanks for your time! Link: http://goo.gl/forms/sNfloUkAYnnWZnAC2
  5. I like this idea, and while I agree with Nosebleed in that a full-on tournament would be too chaotic and not so fun, I'll be glad to take part in a osu! tournament
  6. Well, being a pirate myself, I see your point. But obviously, the best way to support this stuff and not making devs and publishers reluctant to broaden their horizons is buying the games.
  7. Just wanted to give my two cents on the subject. I never managed to finish the first Danganronpa, mainly because other games appealed to me (dat MGS Legacy). But it's good that more games are seeing the localization green light, because that opens the doors for more and more diverse games. On the other hand, although Zetsubou dropping this seems logical to me, it's a bummer, because it's hard to even own a console here in Chile. I had to get my PSP from the US, and the shipping and importing costs weren't very cheap. And a Vita here costs about $350-400, depending on the store. So, although localization of the game is nice for the gamers, it also "hurts" them.
  8. I'd say it's in the fine line between ecchi and hentai. Overall, it's a great lecture I happened to stumble upon.
  9. Ok, I'm too new for this. Good luck to everyone participating!
  10. God, I was so close Anyway, congrats to all three, and great competition we had. Looking forward to another!
  11. Have you played Persona 4 Arena? If you did, what are your impressions?
  12. With that said, I want to congratulate all my fellow contestants who managed to make it this far. Having participated in the previous contest run by solidbatman, I expected this to be much more grueling. Sadly, due to reasons only solid knows, this one couldn't be as long as the previous one. Still, what a fun ride it was. It even prompted me to draw seriously for the first time. So, again, congratulations to all of you and good luck! Yours truly, Imationer
  13. On the small group of islands marked on the map, a little below Japan, is located Loliconnia. This nation was created as an ally to the Freestate of Akihabara, and also as an industrial and economic force to strengthen both nations. Those islands were pretty much deserted, and negotiations with the UN over control of the territory weren't too complicated. Fairly quickly, the Freestate of Akihabara took control of the islands and made them a sort of colony, Loliconnia. The flag of Loliconnia represents the ideal all young Loliconnians strive for, the ever-adored shimapan. In terms of "national identifiers", the Loliconnians don't have an anthem established as such, but all abide by one simple motto: "Cute is Justice". The Loliconnian government is a democratic one, with some differences from the known model. One of the most remarkable is the Ministry of Pantsu, MiniPantsu for short. This organization controls the import and export, apart from the fabrication and quality control of pantsu manufactured there. This ministry proved to be vital, because Loliconnia is now one of the most powerful economies of the area, thanks to the high-quality pantsu made and exported to different countries. Some of those even sold for thousands of US dollars, helping to create jobs and strengthening the workforce throughout the country.
  14. Hachikuji Mayoi best girl. 'nuff said.
  15. I'll have to go OreImo too, because I never managed to go through an episode without dozing off.
  16. Day 4 got lost in the woods after a night out.
  17. First of all, Happy New Year everyone! Now, to the main point: THE most irresponsible thing I've ever done was around my house. I was feeling really bored, and then my dad asks me if I had something in mind. "Well", I said, "I wonder what it's like to do things while blindfolded". So, he took me to the kitchen, put a scarf around my head, and told me to make a salad. I'll save you the details: I counted like 8 band-aids after the attempt, but after that, my dad said to me: "Thank God for your ability to see."
  18. From the tiny selection of VNs that I have fully read, I must say Narcissu got me hooked from start to end.
  19. My New Year resolution is to actually finish making a game for once, applying to international exchange programs at my uni, and eventually going back to the US for studying. Pretty selfish, but I want to make a living out of games.
  20. Rin in a bin for the win. Take it for a spin.
  21. Hey, has anyone thought of the idea of having the Katawa Shoujo pre-release routes compiled in a sort of E-Book collection? I just read through Lilly's route, and it would be nice if we had some sort of book to read them. inb4: Yes, it is a VN, and there are choices, and multiple dialog choices and routes. but I've thought of a system to "solve" the matter. If by any chance you know the book "Rayuela", by Julio Cortázar, then you know where this is going to. If not, let me explain: "Rayuela" can be read in any way you want. The conventional way, going backwards starting from the last chapter, etc. Even the author suggested an alternative order. What's my point? Make it sort of an interactive book: depending on your choice, you jump to a given page number, and go with the story. Thoughts, anyone interested to help me with this, two cents, anything would be appreciated. Note: If this post doesn't belong here, please move it into the correct board. Thanks.
  22. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Turns out she was Rin Tezuka, an artist just going into the scene. She had a gallery expo nearby, but I can't remember right now which gallery was. Her manner of speech was really confusing at first, but I managed to blurt out something that resembled a conversation. We talked for hours on end, finishing the 2 bottles almost by myself. Then, looking at the time, I realize. "Damn", I mutter to myself. "It's almost time..." I completely forgot it was Christmas! "For what?", she asks, picking up my frustrated muttering. "I... really need to get going right now." "Oh." Cue awkward silence for a moment. "Well... there's the chance we can meet again." "Sure, but what if we don't?" She is hard to understand. "Let's hope that doesn't happen." Saying that, I leave the bar in a rush. I forgot to get her a present. She's waiting for me in the apartment, and I completely forgot. I forgot her present. Quick, think! What would she like for Christmas? What would she like from me for Christmas? Think... think... Oh, that's right! New hair ribbons! Sounds lame, but she would sure appreciate it. Not much time passed until I found some cute red ribbons and some frilly purple ones. I decided to take both pairs; I'll get lucky with at least one, maybe. Rushing through the station, I finally get home near 11 PM. "I'm home!", but she wouldn't answer. Exhausted and with no energy left to think more, I fall onto the couch, only to jump to the ceiling with one of the most frightened screams I've ever heard. "Don't sit on me, you pervert!" Of all the things I've could done wrong, this had to happen. I had to sit on top of Hachikuji Mayoi while she was sleeping. Result: both arms with teeth marks everywhere, and a furious Mayoi. "Mayoi, calm down, calm down! I have something for you!" "Yeah? And what could that possibly be?" I give her the present, carefully wrapped in red-striped paper. As she opens it, her face changes from a sour one to a face full of light and joy. "These were the ones I wanted! Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou!" She jumped on me, wrapping her arms around my neck and throwing me back in the couch. "But don't dare to think I've forgiven you yet!" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  23. If you're interested in the iPhone, it also has a version of PPSSPP, although it can be uncomfortable at times (tested personally). Also, lolgc has successfully made available a translation patch for Steins;Gate on iOS, and it's working on Chaos;Head, as far as I know. And finally, I think recently Planetarian was made available for iOS devices.
