  1. Waaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! Sorry for being useless...
  2. Run the english patch again, if you still have the same error, try deleting the files in the folder shown below.. once you get in the folder, delete the files I highlighted.. you'll only see 3 files there since you haven't progressed into the game.. The game requires you to set your sytem into japanese locale, If you use windows and haven't done it yet, the instructions are in this link. But I think you already did since you were able to run the game. And finally, here's the walkthrough I used..
  3. Alright! Thanks! Now to find out what it's about. :D/> I still believe there is hope for us Gaijins.. wahahaha Edit: Google Translate was of little help of course since it only gave the direct translation. But I think that the song was about a person who hated his/her hometown. Decadence was everywhere but he/she found someone else who had enough of the town's dreary state. So they venture out and decided to live the lives they wanted..
  4. I think I didn't make sense with the entry so I'll try again. It looks like that a person has to spend sometime to understand what I was talking about :D/> Thanks for your effort guys. Let's say I released a VN, I'll release the full story for (what looks like) the most likeable character (in case it's a romance story) for free. Then stories of the other characters (which will be given the same level of character dev, of course) will never be sold separately. In case the VN is written by episodes, I'll just release the episodes as cheap as possible.. I'll replace the entry on the first post to avoid further confusion. And wahahaha prototyping really is expensive :D/> Even so, I still want the merchandise and art as the main source of income. Maybe I'll have to moonlight as a stock broker after all :P/>
  5. That's the part where I spend the most time also. Such things are not to be taken for granted!
  6. Welcome! Enjoy the VNs and make your mark in life! Go, go go!
  7. the 2D anime-like girls usually treat us better than the organic/3D ones Thank you! Most of my posts are in the forum games right now :D/> PM sent! Ahahaha I did see some other Foxes running around.. :lol:/>
  8. Hi everyone! I can't find the English translation of this song anywhere. Will someone be able to translate it? If you're all busy, you can just tell me if there are explicit parts in the lyrics. I really find the melody so good so I'm planning to make an AMV with it. It would be nice to know what the song is about. Title : Kagerou Vocal : Michiru Kaori Lyrics : Kensei Compose : Kensei Arrange : Kensei Album : The Best Game Vocals of Akabei Soft2 Released : 2007.02.23 usuyogoreteru sora wo nagamete kimi wa sotto tsubuyaita yurameku asufaruto no mukou "michi wa doko darou?" minareta machi, yuki kau hitobito ayafuya de, ii kagen de tada katachi no mieteru mono wa yokogao to kotae nagareru keshiki, fukinuketeku kaze kimagure ni kuchizusanda ano merodei ugokidasu sekai e no kagi wo motte tomadoi nagara, tsumazuki nagara massugu mae e to yukou" mawaru aozora kokoro kogasu hizashi kagerou ni mayoikonda hontou no jibun to tashika na mono tsukamaete arukidasou hohoemi to yume dake wo wasurezu ni afureru omoi, kirakira no hitomi biru no mukou ni kieteku tori no mure wa aa kusunda natsuzora wo okizari ni shite irozuki nagara, furimuki nagara bokura ni yobi kakete iru yo Romaji : j_kitar I've also uploaded the song in This is the blog where I got the Romaji from.. Thank you so much To mods: I checked what kind of requests are made in the downloads and request section and found that the requests made there are all about links and games. Just move this thread there if you think it's appropriate.
  9. Anime: Kokoro Connect Season 2 and the continuation of Fairy Tail Game console: PS4 (me and my family are suckers for Sony products <_</> ) Game: Tekken x Streetfighter VN from the seedbox: Clannad (due to my useless ISP, it's still at 30 percent) Artist to gain mainstream status in the US: Marie Digby Very disturbing occurrence: Keannu Reeves winning an Oscar (I'm a KR fan but it's still disturbing it were all up to me :lol:/> ) Edit: I also have been waiting for that translation project by Zarradeth. It's been 5 years now
  10. Ahahaha, yeah it made more sense now.. thanks!
  11. These are the lines that I had the most difficulty understanding. In the middle of the city, Kushi, an idol, was holding a concert and there was his destination. He wasn’t troubled by the fact that he was going to get late. He was troubled if he could go there without getting sidetracked. It’s not because he easily gets distracted. It was because he easily gets bored. --- I thought that the whole paragraph was about Kushi. I initially thought that Kushi was a guy but later confirmed in succeeding paragraphs that she was a girl. Walking through the large yet non-crowded streets of Melshikor was simple. A bright light of the stadium dawned upon him and with people chanting Kushi’s name in sight, he knew he was there and he knew that they knew he was there. --- I think this line was meant to build up tension but I really can't understand it. I really am sorry. Kushi was behind the stage, peering outside from time to time. She was looking for someone, specifically him. It was only a few more minutes till her concert. --- Since you said it yourself that "Well, as described the MC is damned weird... " Give him a headslap for me will yah? :D/>/> I am also in the process of writing a story. The lines I've seen from my own work are even worse. I wasn't drunk when I was writing but it looked like I was when I reviewed the drafts. The mechanics of the universe you created are pretty good. I only have a problem with teleportation though. The possibility of materializing in a space already occupied by someone or something will be prevalent. Since 50 million people attended the concert, there's a huge chance that the headline next morning will read "3 million dead after attending Kushi's concert" I can just imagine Kushi surrounding herself with lawyers to ward off incoming lawsuits :D/>/> You can get around that by writing about the use of save points which generates a field around a space. No one or anything can occupy that space if it's in use. Or you can just include that people use scanning magic first before they teleport to any place they wanted to prevent accidents. Either way, that opens the door for you to come up with a villain who found a way to sabotage the main means of transport. I still stand by my word that your story has great potential. Good luck and hope you get to finish it :D/>/>
  12. Definitely not gonna do this! wahahaha! I'm a gamer too so pissing off my peers/potential customers will never be on my list.
  13. I am in the process of creating my own story with the aim of releasing it as a visual novel. Of course, my goal is to generate as much buzz with any product released and sales in proportion to the buzz created. I am not a businessman by heart. Altruism and being a utopian are my greatest flaws. But since life is unfair and you have to earn your daily bread, I envision my company (that will be created in the not so distant future) to have very controversial market moves but at the same time, have a sustainable means of income. So here goes: Whenever I release a VN, I'll release the full story for (what looks like) the most likeable character (in case it's a romance story) for free. Then stories of the other characters (which will be given the same level of character dev, of course) will never be sold separately. In case the VN is written by episodes, I'll just release the episodes as cheap as possible.. -The merchandise (meaning figurines, posters, licenses) would be the main source of income. I also plan to commission well known artists to make their own concept of the VN. Then the company sells their art. -Well. this will not be implemented right away, the initial investment has to be returned first. When the it's just all about margins and operating costs, I plan to share the profit with everyone. That would be during Christmas. :D/> This would be my computation: Bonus = {Revenue - [operating costs + salaries]} / number of employees -That will be done during November so the actual payment can be made during December. The company will have zero profit during that month. It will serve as reward for everyone's effort against our competitors. It also symbolizes my company's desire to treat each individual equally. -Of course, appraisals will still be made every year to reward the best and brightest. -My goal is not really to make tons money (like I said, that's my greatest flaw) What I really want is to gain their loyalty, everyone to earn their daily bread, and at the same time, enjoy their work. If I wanted money, I'll just trade stocks on my own. I just want to hear everyone's take on this. I think I'll only make a reply if I'll be asked to clarify something. I might actually make a story out this! Hahahaha! So what do you think? Edit: replaced some entries that didn't make sense and edited a few more words
  14. This has incredible potential. I hope you get to continue this.
  15. Thanks! I'm really enjoying this community..
  16. Very nice sketch! Really am excited on how my own request will turn out..

  18. Thanks Kendjin. The speeds are okay. I'll inform you or anyone concerned when any issues pop up. Usually it'll be in the form shouting for help.
  19. I stream anime. i prefer subs rather than dubbed. If I like it, I get it by torrent then make an AMV.
  20. Well I only started reading VNs 4 days ago so I haven't read much. I really did like A Dream of Summer (2006). Right now, I'm trying to get Clannad and A profile from the seedbox
  21. I haven't watched .hack but I did watch SAO. In SAO, everyone was forced to either be at their best or worst since their lives are on the line. Since real MMOs do not make any threats to its players by killing them if they stop playing, you may have to make use of the forums to get the experience you want . My own SAO experience was fulfilled in the Original Ragnarok but only because I was active in the forums. I had some difficulty getting an item for a certain job quest and someone from the forums helped me. I in turn, called him "Master" and we talked after I finished the quest. We eventually went on other quests and he tanked boss monsters for me. He became inactive but I was able to join this great guild again, because of the forums. Eventually our little guild became one of the notable guilds in the server. I don't want to sound like bragging but I usually, there were any questions about a job class and I play it, my guildies ask me first. By the way, the main reason I headed to the forums first was because I was afraid of being scammed. Eventually, the ones who post the most banded together (myself included) and formed a guild. The info and encouragements we gave to each other made us a force to reckon with. Slow moments in the game usually lightens up when someone logs in drunk. Our guild was really fond of taking hilarious screenshots and posting it in the forums. here's an example: Guild Master: The best weapon for you would be a glorious speak.. Me: Huh? What's a glorious speak? Guild Master: I meant glorious spear.. Me: (takes a look at the keyboard) ahahaha you know the letter "k" was really far from the letter "r" to be considered a normal typo.. Guild Master: Well you see.... Me: SS!* Guild Master: Nuuuuuuu........ SS = our abbreviation for screenshot What I'm really saying is that SAO was really great because everyone had each other's back but with regard to real MMOs, most players just party up and when the task is done. They say goodbye and then move on. I found that people in the forums tend to include having meaningful connections as part of their gaming compared to others who have no forum accounts. So if both parties are really accommodating, they tend to trust each other (which was one of the values promoted by SAO). If you trust each other you become friends. So that's my take on having a SAO experience
  22. What I can share at the moment are my own videos. This is one of them.. Hope you guys like SAO.. The music was taken from a Korean drama titled Bad Guy/Bad Man.. I'm also a sucker for anything with Korean actress Han Ga In in it :D/>
  23. Thank you so much!

  24. Thank you guys! I really appreciate the warm welcome I haven't read any from the forums since I'm just starting to make my way around.. I did start with the safe ones first like "A Winter's Tale" and "A Dream of Summer".
  25. Hi guys, I just signed up and I am so glad to join this community. Right now I just want to enjoy reading VNs and not take part in any projects. But who knows, since I really like online collaborations, I may just sit down with some of you and make my own mark as well!
