  1. Ah, I wasn't aware of that, sorry. Still, I did look at that list although it's just a huge link dump with hundreds of links. Pardon my lethargy, but I'm not sure it's effective for finding something appealing.
  2. Hi guys! I recently finished Grisaia no Kajitsu and I'm nearing the end of G-senjou no Maou. Both of these have been fantastic (and Shinigami no Testament looks good too, but isn't translated as of now). I suppose I'm interested in any fully translated eroge with an appealing story to it that's more than plain old romance and/or slice of life. Anything with an interesting story that doesn't have a horribly depressing ending please. I haven't read many [interesting] novels other than the two above, so anything helps. Thanks guys!
  3. Why forget about it when someone else can bring it to life?
  4. That depends on where you're from. I'm not saying we should be harassing him. I'm saying that people simply want answers which he still has yet to be clear about. People harass him because it starts with asking a question which he "cleverly" avoids which only raises more and more questions. All that does is result in people wanting more answers and eventually people become upset when they don't get any single answer to any of them. A single person being rude to him doesn't mean he needs to start being sarcastic and hiding his true intentions from every person he comes across. Essentially we don't have a final answer on what he is or isn't doing. He has announcements he's made months ago, but as of now we have little to nothing. He's both hinted at working on it and leaving it behind. It'd be one thing if we knew he was working on it, but there's no point in sitting here waiting because we don't even know what's happening. I'm pretty sure this is one of the only translations that successfully managed to split the community into two different sides.
  5. I don't understand why the community is at fault for "being rude to him" when we're acting this way because we want answers. Is it wrong to want to know what's happening with this? For Insem, it's as simple as being open with the answers rather than dodging the question because he thinks it's funny. It doesn't matter what has happened previously. We're trying to find out if he's actually working or if he quit. Even people who simply ask politely haven't gotten anywhere. I'm sure if he was a little more open about it, hardly anybody would be rude anymore.
  6. Everything he's said has been sarcastic. Personally, I'd rather not just keep waiting to see what happens. We've been at this same stage for months now.
  7. Hey guys! (Sorry if this is in the wrong section) https://twitter.com/StaircaseSubs/status/442807505219878912 It looks as though he's finally done beating around the bush. Is there any chance anybody else wants to pick this project up, even if it means starting over? Essentially Insem isn't exactly the type of person for translating this kind of stuff. There's no use bothering him about it now. If anybody else is up for picking this up, I don't mind pitching in with editing and such or whatever's needed, but I'd like to see if we can at least get this going at some point.
  8. An OST is usually just the music included in the game. Sadly, it doesn't include all of the voices and such.
  9. So I decided to come back to life out of nowhere for absolutely no [good] reason. I kind of wanted to mess around with sounds and such just for the fun of it. Is there any simple way an amateur like me could extract sounds from Grisaia to play with without wanting to cry afterward?
  10. Don't forget that for some reason mothers in anime are all really young looking and often act like a clingy girlfriend instead of a mom.
  11. I'm kind of the same way. I started to like Ruri later on in the show, and I was looking forward to them back together. I actually started to like Ayase too, but after that he just shot for Kirino out of nowhere. It was good until every girl in the show suddenly liked him only to be rejected for Kirino out of nowhere.
  12. I wonder what dangerous results we'd have if we combined fuwa members with anime characters.
  13. If you still need someone for this, I'll pitch in. This would be my first task as well so if there's anything to it aside from editing text, I may need a little help at first. If you can't find anybody better soon then I have too much time I need to kill anyway, and I won't be super picky about my first couple of VN projects. In case it's necessary or anything, here's a quick-link to my post in the registration page.
  14. I'm lost. We have a detailed thread telling us Aaeru has an opinion and as the thread goes on the content completely changes. Is this a party thread?
  15. There's actually a lot of other stuff being done thanks to similar technology from 3d printing. I couldn't think of anything unique to do my science project on, so I went with 3d printing. Turns out scientists have been taking advantage of the technology for custom made prosthetic limbs and such as well. Not only that but they've been using it to make artificial custom grown organs as well since organ donors are so limited. It's pretty different but it's awesome to see what they've been able to do with it as well.
  16. I'm only extremely late but I just joined, too. I have no idea what all of those broken pictures are though, but here's my page if it's necessary or something. http://steamcommunity.com/id/CaptainBigButt/
  17. Actually since this is a visual novel forum, it reminded me of one thing. I just started on Katawa Shoujo for the fun of it and there are about half a dozen short animations for some different things in it. They're actually pretty good, and since it was made by a third-party team on 4chan, I'm sure someone out there could find out what program was used for that stuff.
  18. I have no idea what official programs are used for anime in Japan, though a popular American program is called Toon Boom. Other than that, you could always start simple with Adobe Flash Professional. I'm sure people would come up with some silly shorts using that, but I wouldn't go for top quality animations right away. Anime teams are full of however many people they feel they need, but to get started you'd be alone. It shouldn't be too bad as long as you don't expect it to be the best thing ever on the first go. Links: https://www.toonboom.com/ http://www.adobe.com/products/flash.html?promoid=KFNVR http://washiblog.wordpress.com/2011/01/18/anime-production-detailed-guide-to-how-anime-is-made-and-the-talent-behind-it/ It's never too late to learn if you actually want to draw. I've only just started getting "serious" about drawing a few weeks ago.
  19. I'm a little lost on that, but I'll probably save that link and come back to it when I move on to grammar. I'm starting on Kanji now before I fall behind, so this'll be fun. When it comes to Hiragana, are there any good exercises to speed up processing them? I have all of the symbols down, but I read them at the pace of a baby when they're spelling a word.
  20. I think I've figured her out and I know how I feel now, but I won't go into that (spoilers). I feel funny though. I did some occasional sketches of anime characters starting late last year for fun, but I only started watching anime this summer and I got a little more serious about drawing a few weeks later. My creativity was pretty mediocre last year, but since this summer my imagination has been almost too hyperactive. During and after any anime I watch, my imagination kicks into high gear again and I start coming up with all kinds of random ideas. Now I just need to figure out whether these are fueling awesome stories and ideas I should be writing down, or whether I'm just going a little bit crazy.
  21. I think I have Hiragana down now along with some basic Japanese words, but I haven't learned Kanji yet. I hope I wasn't learning backward. It does kind of bring me to one question though. Why is it the kana for wa is わ, but it's written as は in words such as anatawa (あなたは) and konnichiwa (こんにちは)? Lastly, is there any way to practice the pronunciations for Japanese vowels and such? I have no idea if I'll need to speak Japanese any time soon, but I'd still feel terrible having some thick foreigner accent nobody can understand.
  22. Actually I'd love to at some point. I still have a long way to go on my art, but I wouldn't mind making my own Visual Novel a few years from now. My imagination has been running surprisingly wild after getting into art, so I have a couple silly but cool ideas I'd love to work on and turn into a story at some point. Also, I can't figure out whether I like Yuno or whether I'm terrified of her.
