  1. Well, not in my Brazil! XD that doesnt happen here at least, unless we want to just make fun of it, we speak incorrectly all the time, but if the mistake is outrageous and seriously bad then of course we going to correct them by any means neccessary. Any.Means.Neccessary. Unless you talking about the internet, where countless of other fellow Brazilians feel allmighty enough to punish every single grammar mistake for the sake of their Fuhrer. Anyways, with that aside, I was just like you Rei-san, no pratice, minimal knowledge and stuck on an international server of a game I liked, so, what did i do? I started talking and correcting myself, you learn from experience so you cannot be afraid of mistakes, they are what teach you how to do it right.
  2. Hehe, I wish you the best of luck and if you need asisstance in any way you only need but ask, Fujimoto Takashi help his friends. They are indeed related! awesome right? Drakengard is a good game, but only because of its CRAZY TWISTED story and characters, Its a unique gem. unfortunaly i gave up on it...the combat is just....so...awful... this time boring is the right word for it, but ill come back from where I left eventualy, its just a matter of time. Drakengard 3? So its true....the oracle was right. wait....it is going to tie with NieR!?!? ....I...cant believe it!!! those are wonderful news!
  3. ahh, I see, Im sure you can get over it, your english is just fine, and you also know Japanese, along with Thai! thats like...tottaly awesome!
  4. Go for it! Its worth a replay for sure. Magic was the only thing that made combat interesting for me...and I tend to not enjoy using Mage archetypes, so i usualy shun away from spells and all that nonsense, NieR was one of the few exceptions, in that game, magic was badass. Thanks for reminding me of NieR epic OST, I still hear it in my head....so....fascinating....so...epic...so....unique. That game had potential...shame we wont ever see a sequel =(
  5. Hmm...now what I lack is the material to actualy start learning, watching anime would would only teach you some phrases and thats not good enough for Takashi! Hey, Joshyan-san, could you tell me how you learned Japanese? Is it similar to your native language in any way? Did you have a hard time learning it?
  6. Arigatou gozaimasu! Thats what I want to believe, but the problem is I dont know exactly where or how to start...english came naturaly for me, japanese on the other hand seems like a total different world....
  7. Oh, I know about that friend, english isnt my native language either, but you dont need to apologise for it, just do your best, there is no shame in making mistakes, everyone here will understand, im sure of it.
  8. ....you kidding right? Im also readin a Song of Ice and Fire! Im on the second book, almost done reading it! I got the other 3 books just waiting =D Skipping Muv-Luv? Why would you do that? Without Extra (first one) I bet I would understand the story and characters that well and boy some of them are great! I recomend you either play them all, or at least watch an walkthrough of it, its definately worth it if you have the time.
  9. So this is the IRC everyone talked about...gotta admit...Im abit scared and confused after reading all these posts...It seems like its not a place for mere mortals like me.......I dont think I should join, just to be safe...but...it was nice......coming here.....I better... errr.....run away now....Mata ne!
  10. Sorry, boring was a bad choice of words...It can be quite fun with you jumping around and slicing away your foes with indiscriminate justice, what I wanted to say is that it was extremely easy and simple, to the point it could take away all the fun, I mean, buy the Phoenix spear and smash the attack button, tell me if the bosses arent crying already. At least the story makes up for it and those chores (a.k.a sidequests) only one of them was worth doing If i recall correctly...it involved a certain old lady...Im sure you know wich one.
  11. ...Twitchy? Hmm...thats a quite a catchy and funny name... Anyways! Welcome aboard! I started watching a walkthrough of a Tales game on youtube a couple of days ago and I quite liked it! I believe it was "Tales of Graces F", unfortunaly...It has english dub...wich tottaly killed the mood...but I guess you can get used to it over time....right?... RIGHT!?
  12. Welcome aboard! ...Wait you can read Japanese? Sugoi! I bet there is always need for translators so Its a good thing that you signed up. Also...could someone tell me why does everyone apologise for their english when its not even that bad? and Kendgin...its seems that its always cake time for you...yet you never gave me one....not even a slice ='(
  13. Konnichiwa fellow Brazilian! May you enjoy lurking around these forums as much as I do, and dont worry about your english, its perfectly fine. Ahhh, I see where you coming from, I never enjoyed reading mangas aswell for some reason, I always prefered watching animes instead... not that I dont love books though...I just dont want any pictures on them.... Oh! if you are looking for a VN to play, may i suggest Hoshizora no Memoria? It was my first one, Im still playing it, and lord, how I love it!
  14. I always wanted to buy some figs...but the lack of experience dealing with that sort of thing always makes me unsure wether its worth it or not. I have nooooo idea where to buy, but since you guys suggested some places, I was thinking of giving it a try...but I live in Brazil, and that makes everything more complicated and expensive... I dont even know how it would work here...
  15. He got a point...line by line would take forever and it would be somewhat boring, unless the people involved were messing around and having fun from time to time, In the end it all depends on the mood.
  16. Well, I still got plenty of years ahead of me so thats no reason why i shouldnt be playing VNs till late. I got a saying of mine "If you are not going to enjoy your day, then why even wake up for it?" Do what makes you happy whenever you can, thats the whole point of life! but dont worry, i tend to fall asleep around 1 am...just to wake up at 4:30 am for the Army...yeah... its fun fun!
  17. Welcome aboard Kevin! English isnt my native language either but judging from your post it seems that your english is just fine, so you dont need to worry, now go and enjoy your stay.
  18. Bah! Who needs sleep anyway? Im sure we will get plenty of it when we turn old.
  19. Nice to see someone who has played NieR, that game was epic in many ways, that is if you could get past the boring combat... now, with that aside, welcome! May your stay here in the forums be long and prosper!
  20. This sounds really interesting! I would really like to join aswell, but pehaps its too much for a rookie like me to handle....hmmm....
  21. Wow...soooo many replies...Im lost here...but lets try to answer some of them and yes, I know the name makes me sound like a real Japanese guy, wich is a good thing, since that was its intention, it took me a LONG TIME to come up with it, so thanks for the compliment! About the VN i played (currently playing) its called Hoshizora no Memoria, wich i felt in love the second i saw it, Its just that good! Muv-Luv is the one im watching over youtube, it had a slow start at first, i didnt like the models and charatcers but it all grew on me over time and now im at Muv-Luv Unlimited already. Yup, thats what i need, the Japanese classes were supposed to kinda force me to study...something to keep pushing me you know? because if im on my own i just tend to give up...though history tells me that im not like that...since i learned english by myself...after playing video games for years of course...by the way, thats an awesome way to learn it! Wish i could do the same for Japanese....but those...words? symbols? epicly writen things? whatever! they just dont make any sense! Also...whats IRC?
  22. I would be interested in learning japanese, If you guys could find new, fun ways to teach it then that would be a huge plus for me! I tried studying alone...It didnt work out that well... but i still havent given up.
  23. Hey there, for those who dont know me my name is ontop of that amazing picture on my left, so you can call me that and no, Its not my real name. I have been lurking around this forums for quite some time and i finally decided to creat an account since this seems to be a fun community. With that out of the way, lets talk about me! Im your average guy who regrets never taking any Japanese classes when they were around...WHY!? WHY DIDNT I TAKE THEM?! ....Ahem!...Im also new to VNs, wich means i have only played one so far...yeah...I know...but Im also watching a playthrough of another one at youtube, so lets make that two, ok? Surprisingly, I fell in love with the genre, the pure focus on character development and story is such a nice change from modern games, i simply couldnt resist and knowing there were great fan translations out there showed me how much you guys must care about it, a devoted fanbase is what makes many games great, so I at least wanted to be a part of it by joining here, its a small step but its one nonetheless. Well, i wont bore you any further so, there ya go, thank you all for reading Ja Matane!
