I just realized I never posted in the tech support thread ::sigh::. Here is my plea for assistance: 1) I've been having trouble installing the patch. I try running it as normal or as admin and get the errors listed below. I copied the patch files to where the program installed before running the batch. Set to Japanese. 2) Also any ETA on the new patch mentioned in previous posts? 3) Finally where would it would be appropriate to mention the dead link in the Browse area for "If My Heart ..." on the main site. There is a link to a new batch file that gives a 404 error. I enjoyed Aching Dreams - it was decent. Didn't play Transylvania Girls.

It's been a while since I checked out Newgrounds. Maybe I was searching incorrectly but from my recollection most of what they had wasn't that appealing. While I greatly prefer there be adult content, I think there were only one or two that weren't just outright porn with almost no plot or story. Did you have any titles you were thinking of?

I had never played May Club before so I decided to look at it. The http interface on the site was great except for the save feature which was ... FUBAR for lack of a better description. I could not figure out how to get it to work - I played one path and only managed to save somehow twice. May Club the game looked like it might have been good for its time but thus far I don't think it holds a candle to Nocturnal Illusion and True Love. I have not played Hunie Pop - I may check that out at some point too based on the recommendations here.

Thank you to everyone that responded! My thought is to still include it with a link to Steam and possibly other locations and/or an explanation of what's going on so it isn't just not there. --- I think I will just respond to everyone rather doing a multiquote because otherwise the post might get rather bulky and annoying. The end goal here is to make Fuwa more popular than it already is. It is a marketing truism to make things as easy and painless as possible for your market - people gravitate to what will meet their need with the minimum amount of effort and emotional 'pain' on their part. While it would be nice if people would think before they act the reality is all too often we don't (and that applies to everyone to varying degrees). The end result of not attempting to cater to that trait in people is often they then look elsewhere - which is highly counter productive to the main goal. There are many who are highly familiar with this site's layout and content and can navigate it with ease - that is wonderful! For newcomers though it doesn't help so much. Most people (and there are numerous studies to back this up) won't wait around if they can't find what they want quickly - they will just go elsewhere. And THAT is the point I am hamhandedly trying to help with. Anyway I feel like I may be treading the line between explaining myself for clarity and proselytizing so I am going to stop now before I step over it. Thank you again to all who responded. And a shout out to Tay for being on the pulse to everything! I too am getting very interested to see what the redesign brings!

It would be helpful if the chat module on the site had a feature (as does mibbit and some others) that caused the tab to flash when someone typed something in the chat box.

If this already exists please forgive me - nothing came up when I did a search for an area to make suggestions of site expansion possibilities. I would find it very useful to have a centralized area that assists with downloads. I am visualizing something where there is an alphabetical list of VN's (sort possibility both by Japanese and English names) and when you click on a name it takes you to a page that shows where you can get the VN. That could be a torrent feed, links to another site, etc.

Thanks Fred. I will likely make it my next VN based on your recommendation. For the record I have no problem with most conflict in a story - I agree that it would be difficult to keep interest without something going on. I only ask that it all work happily for ALL good guy parties by the end.

REVIEW from the Happy Ending perspective: Shuffle! OK I just finished Shuffle - here is my review and thoughts for those who are interested. The bitter in the bittersweet of this is very low. I would include this on the list for people looking to avoid bitter VNs – in part because I have only found one VN without any bitter (neko para - It was the first vn I ever read (if you don't count games). I didn't review it here because I read it before arriving to this forum. If I get a request I will give it a review). Summary: Overall I am happy I read the VN. While I have many issues with this VN I think the pros outweigh the cons (just barely – but they do). note: if you would like to see more reviews like this please post a note or give this post a like.

REVIEW from the Happy Ending perspective: Shinigami no Kiss wa Wakare no Aji This will be spoiler heavy so I am putting a tag on the whole thing. It makes it easier to read overall. Summary: I would not recommend this for people looking for a strictly happy ending even though all three paths are technically happy ones. On the good side, I did love the layering and complexity that is revealed through following the different paths. The writing for the most part is well done - I am not ashamed to say I laughed and also shed a few tears.I enjoyed the art work (although there could have been a little bit more variation) and most of the voice acting. It also deserves mentioning they did a superb job in making the three paths individual - you are not reading a copy/paste of the exact same thing you already read previously in the other paths with just a few new bits tacked on. Edit: If anyone appreciates the above review please give it a like or post a quick note so I know. If there are those that appreciate it, I will continue to post them. Thanks!
