Third time I tried using the same trick I used to run Togainu No Chi on Windows 8 [Hover game on task bar, right click window] I have also tried running as an administrator. Still nothing. I don't read Japanese so I don't know what this error even says. I don't want to lose my save file or have to restart. Did you download your game from Fuwanovel?: Yes. Edit: I asked a friend of mine to help me translate it and what we got from it was: "An error occurred while loading the saved data. Edit the game."

Hi, so I've been trying to play Hoshizora no Memoria (downloaded through Fuwanovel) and accessing it from the MemoriaEN.exe (ofc), but every time I try to play it just shows me this error: Yeah, every time. Not to mention also whenever I unpacked the .zip file for the game from the torrent, it didn't include the save file folder. So I tried making one and restarting my computer as instructed here, but nothing happened and boom, the same error again. The other VNs I've tried downloading from Fuwanovel (Comyu, Koi Iro! Chu Lips, Killer Queen & Dra+Koi) have been working perfectly and flawlessly, like they should be. This isn't a life-threatening problem or anything, of course not, but I've been hoping to play HnM for a while now; it looks pretty awesome and fun. I've tried installing it many times but ended up deleting it every time until I read about restarting your computer, but that didn't work. Now for the questions: -I have K-lite Pack -My system locale has always been Japanese -I have installed the custom font -I've tried re-installing it too but that didn't work; I can also run everything as Admin so that's not even a problem -My computer has pretty good processors (I dunno, I ain't an expert on this matter): "Windows 8.1, 64-bit, 8.00 RAM, Intel Core i5-4210U CPU @ 1.70 GHz 2.40 GHz" Sorry for the (probably) long wall of text. I just don't know what to do with this anymore.

Each time I play this game it pops up an error message shortly after the first scene inside the school, about 5-10 minutes after the Movie intro, and the game crashes. It always happens at the exact same moment and I cannot figure out the problem as the error message is in japanese, nor do I see anyone else reporting this same problem. I have the Locale set, have followed all the instructions exactly, have checked all the known problems people are having none of which apply to me, and have been trying to skip through it. (I wanted to skip through all the routes so I could play them freely, it gets boring if I'm restricted) anyone else have this same problem? I'd post the error message but it wont let me, only part that isn't in japenese is (etc/BG014_001) I assume a file is missing but I'm not sure, it works fine up until that one scene.

(Uninstall/Reinstall, Redownload, Run as admin, etc): I've run it as admin, in the japanese locale, I've redownloaded it twice and as far as I can tell, there's no actual "install" at all. Just an .exe to run. I'm redownloading it again now, but there wasn't even a an installation guide or readme? Anyway, just to cover my bases, I've also stopped the seeding as well. It... didn't help, though. I'm pretty much at a loss. Running the english patch fails. It says it isn't in the right directory? Or to make sure it is. and it is. Running ChaosHead.old.exe does nothing. It doesn't even start for a moment or anything, sadly. I haven't even bothered with the underwear patch thing yet. I'd be happy just to get the game working.
