    Also I'm kinda iffy about being hopeful for this one because last time R07 worked with a different artist we ended up getting Okamikakushi which, while not bad, was thoroughly mediocre.

    Ookami had like 7 scenario writers, iirc. I'll not be very surprised if Ryu07 actually wrote only 1-2 scenes there.

    Easy VNs to read in Japanese?

    Never read it myself, but I heard Hanahira is a really easy Japanese VN.

    You're right. There is almost no narration and VN is more like a bunch of scenes like "cute girls are talking at school", "cute girls are talking at home", "cute girls are talking at shopping mall" etc. lol.

    Language is very easy and VN is fully voiced too. So give it a shot.

    And what about Kira Kira? I know that they're different, but I didn't like Swan Song very much. I can see, why people love Setoguchi, but the story there wasn't enjoyable as a piece of fiction, in my opinion. It's more on the level of a serious novel. Is Kira Kira any different from this point of view?

    I found out that the all-ages version censored more than just the h-scenes

    Nah. It's just 2-3 CGs without blood (and one with underwear instead of nothing). Nothing really important (I can understand you, though) and h-scenes aren't even in the main game (but this is cool, because h doesn't suit eden*).

    It's not like the PS2/DS arcs aren't canon, they include more backstory on the events, characters and even Umineko tie-ins (and a completely new endings that's apparently better than the original, too), so it's not really fair to dismiss them all.

    Yeah, they might be interesting. But as far as I know, Ryukishi didn't write any of them (he was a supervisor, though) and I'm not a fan of the idea of giving additional routes to different writers. So, I'm a bit sceptical about Matsuri/Kizuna.
