  1. I had the same problems. I don't think that something is missing in scripts. Probably it's just a fault of walkthrough. This choice lead to the meaningless bad end though, so it's not really important. You can watch it on YouTube (it's like ~2 min long), if you want.

  2. That didn't really answer my question.  I chose all the correct answers to get the bad ending as a result and I let the credits go all the way through without skipping them so I don't understand why I don't even have the songs listed in my menu. It's just the "Glossary". I didn't have this problem when I installed the VN on my other computer >.<

  3. School Days? It has a love triangle and this part of the story is very important. There is drama, jealousy and you can get the ending for every girl (there are bad ends too).

Though, SD is a "love or hate" type VN and I can't say for sure that you'll definitely like it. But it fits your request.

  4. Opinion on Sora?

I didn't like her story as much as Tsugumi's or You's, but I can't say that I didn't like her at all. I've seen comments saying that her route is boring and slow-paced, but I don't think so. Her route is a good introduction point and it is entertaining enough to keep you reading till the end. For example, with Sara I had a feeling that I've already seen all of those twists and developments, while I hadn't had it with Sora.

  5. Completed Sara's route from Ever17 last night. Very glad I followed Sora -> Tsugumi -> You -> Sara order and didn't spoil anything. This is the best order in my opinion and I'm quite surprised that here is no enforced playing order.

Though, I didn't like Sara that much. Her route is decent, but nothing really surprising. I think I liked You's route the most. Even though a lot of questions were left unanswered. Well, I hope I'll finish Coco tonight.

  6. They announced basically three games and two anime at the same time. That reeks of over-exploitation to me.

Not to mention the fact that it might well be on console again so who cares.

I'll await with cautious optimism that sequel if the writer is still the same dude.

The writer is Hayashi Naotaka, yes. Assistants are Toru Yasumoto, Masashi Takimoto, and Tsukasa Tsuchiya. Yasumoto and Takimoto worked on Chaos;Child.

  7. i highly doubt so since they are mostly focusing on Minato Carnival and with a lot of experienced and good members in for Anekoji ( even Takahiro is involved ). So they'll most probably focusing more on Carnival than Soft for now. Expect it to come out next year or in 2 years if they are.

...There is Shoujo-tachi wa Kouya wo Mezasu and it also has a great team working on it.

And Takahiro have a lot of projects: Akame, Akame Zero, YuYuYu S, Taiyou no Ko and Gin'iro. I doubt he has a time to work on something else. At least, not until Gin'iro is out.

  8. Thing is, no, there won't be a VN translation more highly requested than Angel Beats for a while. But you shouldn't assume that will make translation easier. Popular with community members is not the same as popular with translators, and to be honest it's really, really hard to start and finish a project successfully as a non-translator no matter what. You should instead focus on giving translators an attractive reason for working with you. You need to be able to provide a service they can't get elsewhere, such as having top-notch editing skills or strong connections in order to build and maintain a strong team right away. Without aspects like these, to be honest you're probably better off joining other projects in need. If you can provide these things then Angel Beats strikes me as a really odd choice considering Sekai Project's relationship with Key. I seriously think that the chances of an official Angel Beats announcement at AX are like 90%.

I think, there is no real reason for Sekai to release new VN before old ones. Both, LB and Rewrite are very popular and often requested as well. And isn't the cost of a new cake will be higher?

Btw, I'm interested to see, how they'll go with LB graphics. Clannad is getting the new HD assets, and Rewrite and AB already have high-res CGs. I want LB with CGs from PS3 release... *sigh*

And isn't Jackson hard too? Well, we don't know for sure, but still.

  9. I doubt there is a single translator in the community capable of translating *that* properly at the moment (including MG, SP and JAST staff). I think your best bet is to wait for the pros to gain more experience in their craft and license it one day (unless you have a translator actually experienced in translating paper novels and poetry at hand).

How about Maruto's stuff? He's really popular in Japan, but nobody seems to be tling him around here; Kono Aozora ni Yakusoku o, for exmaple, is fairly easy and loads of fun.

Seems like people are very interested in his works. At least, White Album 2 is one of the most requested VNs, and I'm pretty sure this one will get licensed some time in the future.

But we can't say for sure about his earlier works. No one is interested in translating them at the moment (futsuu... Guess, we can exclude him?), so I think it will be a good choice. Something that a lot of people might like and at the same time VN, which is not mediocre. It'll be great to see Parfait, konnyaku or DameKoi one day.

  10. As for me, I don't really see a point in talking about bad ends. In every second VN they're just like *boom* and you're dead, while the screen turns red or something like this.

Also I agree about Little Busters ending, but I enjoyed the VN anyway. Maybe it's even good that they have added this ending, since the good one is the better choice for a story by Key. I didn't understand this back then, when I was reading LB, but now I'm sure about it.

  11. Umineko..? Brilliant story (especially if you like mystery), which is quite serious, but has a bit of romance and so on. The story sometimes is hard to follow (all of those... magic battles), and in the end you'll probably not get who the murderer is. But once you understand everything and pick every single piece of the puzzle, it'll be a... I don't have enough words to describe this. My mind was just blown. Just go read it.

Also there is a patch for voices and PS3-graphics if you want something more beautiful (the original art has its own charm, though).
