    Not really familiar with using python, but are you sure the command line is correct? Seems kind of weird for the command to be a file name itself. 

     

    ./bgi_dump.py <filename> 

     

    or if there exists a python command or something

     

    py bgi_dump.py <filename> 

     

    makes a bit more sense. Not familiar with what you're trying to do though sorry :<

    I did what Mephisto told me by having a py at the beginning of the code. Why does your works w/out that?

     

    Edit: Oh I saw it, its python. Its not even in the tut

    There's something a little bit different about the game scripts here...

     

    Try this... open up bgi_common.py and look for the line that says..... res = data.find(b'\x1B\x00\x00\x00', pos+1)

     

    Change the 1B into F4 then try running the dumper again.

    I don't know if that's all that needs to be done, but it should do something.

    Still the same nothing happens. I extract the .arc data using AE - VN Tools and I got some plain raw files (no extensions). Now I need to dump it (using BGI Tools) to get the scripts but I always get the same error. It look like it doesn't even read the file.

    I want to extract .arc files and get the scripts but nothing seems to be working.

     

    Update: I used extractdata, crass, yuno.. everything failed.

    Upadate 2: The novel uses Buriko engine (BGI), I heard many people are having problems about this. I think I'm just going to give up on this. I don't even know how to use the Burikotools in TLWiki. *sigh*

    Update: I stopped translating AstralAir no Shiroki Towa. Someone is already started a project for that.

    So I moved to Koi Suru Kanojo no Bukiyou na Butai. I started translating it last week with the help from a translator of Yosuga no Sora. Don't get hype about this because this is not a official project, I'm just doing this to kill some time so no bad feeling about this guys. 

     

    If I'm going to release some patch It'll just be a partial or just an interface.

    Need help for a program to extract scripts Favorite/Saga Planets visual novels

    Hello guys, I know some people ask this or things related to this stuff so it's gonna be annoying for some of you guys.

     

    I just became a  NEET 3 months ago and spend most of my time watching anime and reading some visual novels but I felt something is not enough, how about I try to translate this? And I know a little knowledge about Japanese language. Before I go back working in the society, I want to try to do this. I'm still a beginner here, if you guys can help me for the programs that I need it'll be helpful.

     

    I also want to know which file contains the script.

    Here are types of files in Favorite:

    >bgm.bin

    >etc.bin

    >graph.bin

    >graph_bg.bin

    >graph_bs.bin

    >graph_sd.bin

    >graph_vis.bin

    >se.bin

    >se_env.bin

    >se_sys.bin

    >snow.hcb

    >voice.bin

     

    If I manage to translate at least 10 lines, I will continue working in this stuff.

    Update: The scripts are in the Snow.hcb file, I just need to know how to extract it.
