  1. I'd get disowned if I did that.  Half of my family is extremely Catholic, so they'd flip out if they found out I was even just looking up info about anything with erotic content.  Hell, they get offended when they see girls wearing bikinis, no matter how revealing they are.  No joke.

    I feel ya man :| I feel ya :|

  2. The problem with "Long Live the Queen" is there is no was to predict what skills you need to survive. It greatly reduces the tactical aspect of the game, and greatly increases trial and error. And trial and error is boring. If they fix this, the game would be okay. Dying a lot because a game is difficult is perfectly fine, but dying a lot because a game hides information is just annoying.

As a sim, it's nowhere near as good as... say Academagia (just my opinion here  :P)

  3. Love the Long Live the Queen review. That's probably what I felt too. Die die die! I think it took around at least 70 deaths until I completed the game. But I liked the game.

I want to go back and redo that review. It was my first, and it was my worst, but more than anything else, I don't agree with my own opinion on it. I don't like Long Live The Queen anymore.

  4. I've looked through a bunch of your reviews and I think you're doing really well with how you format them. They're past-paced, fun to watch, and provide good insight on VNs and Dating Sims. Also, there's another VN that'll eventually be coming out on Steam that I think would really be worth reading. It's from the same company that did Ef (not sure if you're familiar with the VN or its anime adaption). http://store.steampowered.com/app/315810

Also, so if I'm being a little bothersome with my OCD, but I can help you out a bit with Japanese pronunciation. I've looked at a couple guides for learning Japanese and one thing I've picked up from them is that there's very little ambiguity to the vowels as compared to English. If I have the correct understanding, singular vowels will always have the same sound, although double vowels may require a little more effort to interpret. From what I remember in my Spanish classes in school, the vowel pronunciation is actually fairly similar to Japanese.

    A - ah

    E - eh

    I - ee

    O - oh

    U - ooh

In response to the Misao part of your KS review, I'm almost positive that it's pronounced "mee-sow". If we were to combine singular vowel sounds with this double, it'd sound like "mee-sah-ooh", but that would sound a little too weird. But if you say it in your head, and auto-correct it to something that flows better, you'll come to a better interpretation of the vowel sounds. It may take some time to be able to get it down in a snap, but the pronunciation is pretty easy once you get use to it.

Otherwise, it's not that big of a deal (I'm not bothered by it in the least), but there are some people out there that do appreciate it when someone uses correct pronunciation.

That is true. There isn't a particularly wide range of VNs in the western market, but there are still alternatives to Steam as well. Now, this will roughly depend on your preference for storytelling as MG and JAST normally don't work on VNs that are originally written in English (those are the only VN reviews I've seen on your channel so far). They're mainly involved in localizing Japanese works and distributing them through their own websites. But as of late, there has been a fairly nice increase in VNs distributed through Steam, but for the most part, you'll want to look towards the English licensing company's website to purchase them. The VNs are usually only available for download only, but you may be able to find physical copies of the game if they're really popular. You can find a list of the titles they've licensed on VNDB, and there will also be a link to their website if there's anything you're interested in buying. Sekai Project doesn't have a store available on their site yet, but you'll be able to find their works on Steam.

As I mentioned earlier, the VNs you've reviewed so far are originally written in English. And while they can definitely be a joy to read, I personally feel that translated VNs have a lot more impact. But that's just how I feel. Definitely worth dabbing into if you like what you've played so far. Also, if you want, I can narrow down any of the lists I've linked as companies like MG and JAST tend to release games that are more centered around the "porn" aspect rather than the "story". VNs are a pretty tight niche, so they have to have something to keep them from going under. :P Sekai Project is a lot less porn oriented, but they mostly rely on kickstarter.

Holy cow, didn't even realize I was writing this much. Probably the first time I've rambled like this in a while. Well, it's not entirely irrelevant, but it still feels pretty bloated. Well, anyways, welcome to the community! Really glad to have you with us. :D And feel free to ask me anything if you want to know more about VNs.

Wow, thanks a ton for everything. Especially that translation part. I don't know how obvious it is, but I can't pronounce words to save my life, not even English ones half the time xD

  5. 1.Do you only play games on steam?

No particular reason, they just happen to be the easiest to obtain most of the time. I've been thinking of ways to try and branch out more. Maybe make more videos like the Indie Games and the Shiny Loot Bundle.

2.Why do you mostly review very low quality games? You have the potential of becoming a big youtuber if you go for the big stuff.

    I don't understand the question.

3 Why are they always bad games?! (I kid, I kid)

I dunno, it just kinda works out that way I guess.

4.You don't torrent games, do you?

Not really anymore. Only if it's a game I can't obtain without torrenting. Or one that's really bad that I really don't want to pay money for.

5.Do you have any interest in trying Japanese made VNs? Since all the ones you've reviewed so far are made in the West.

The main reason I've been reviewing western ones if they appear on steam, and steam makes obtaining them easy. I've tried a few Japanese VNs, but since most of them aren't availible to buy in the west, reviewing them sometimes seems kinda odd, as I can't suggest people go buy the game, or not buy it, cause you can't buy it over here.

But nevertheless, you are indeed one of the funniest youtubers I follow. Keep up the good work! And I hope you enjoy your stay in this website ^_^

Thank you, that means a lot to me :D

  6. Was pretty funny, and well made, no annoying amateur mic, nicely timed jokes... You got yourself a new follower! :)

However, I'd recommend you to put some sort of disclaimer at the beginning of your videos to show that what is said is purely your own opinion and that you do respect the work that has been put in creating the games you're reviewing! Also, keep in mind that it's a thing to say "I didn't like it / I hated it", but it's a completely other thing to say "It's shit / It's atrocious". The first one is totally fine, the second one might be a bit aggressive and should be used only when really you think it's so bad that everyone would agree with you (and trust me, it happens way less than you could think).

    Advice duly noted. Thank you.

  7. It's an anime style it's not meant to seem realistic, I mean we also have eyes that are bigger then RL people have and smaller nose then RL people have, but that's Anime style you can't complain about it being what it is.

But ok let's skip to Go! Go! Nippon review you said protagonist overreacts over everything like vending machines and toilets, you said what country doesn't have vending machines and who would get excited over them, well let me tell you that there are many countries that don't use vending machines including my own and I would probably found interesting seeing them in RL if I didn't know about them before. You also say no meter what country you are toilets are toilets noting to get exited over them but it's exactly because it's something that exist anywhere but at a same time are so different from the usual ones you are used to seeing, as even small every days things are so much different then what you are seeing in your own country that you find them interesting. Ok I agree that he still does reacts stronger then what would RL people reaction bee, but that's in order to find it more interesting to read, I mean would you really found it more interesting to reed if protagonist reaction was just "oh that is nice" and that's it.

Well man, I'm just gonna chalk this up to you and me having different tastes. I thought Go Go Nippon and Sakrua Spirit weren't very good, and kinda stupid, and so in my review I said I thought they were stupid and I outlined reasons as to why.

Obviously you don't agree with my opinions on either game, and that's fine. You don't have have. :) Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

  8. You should leave making reviews to someone who knows what he is talking about, in your Sakura Spirit review you said that it doesn't have a good graphic witch is one thing is certainly does

I suppose it's a matter of opinion when it comes to art most of the time. I found the art in Sakura Spirit to look utterly dumb. Their breasts were huge and everything else looked incredibly impractical. I have no idea how half of those chicks clothes managed to stay on specifically this girl.

    ss_31ed0df74d5a8e741a2c90da18cce9d16f2ca

How do her breasts stay up without a bra? How?

Still there is no denying that the art is the best thing in the game. Certainly better than the writing.

    As for the other part.

and you said you can finish it in one hour if you don't read any text!?! Forget reviewing how can anyone who knows what a VN is say that, I mean you are basically saying you can finish a book very fast if you don't read any text, I mean seriously WTF!

I was trying to illustrate how short of a read it was. It really can be completed in two hours. I did it. I read the whole thing in two hours. And it probably doesn't even take an hour to "not read it" I was just trying to be funny. Obviously I failed but it's what I was going for.
