Hanako and Lily's routes would be my favourites. Though I can't decide between the two.

My favourite protagonist would probably be Hisao from Katawa Shoujo. He's a fun and likeable character who we can sympathise with yet admire given his handling of his situation. I actually related to him more than most protagonists because he wasn't as witty as most (didn't follow up every sentence with a quick joke) so following him didn't make me feel so bad about being so socially inept.

I just finished Kyou's route and god damn does this one not hold back any punches. never before have i been so invested in a protagonist's plight, so much so that in-between the tears i had to fight back i found myself subconsciously trying to find a solution in the vain hope that Tomoya would pick up on it.

What I found with Ageha's route was that I understood the plot as a whole but the individual pieces that made it up were nothing short of confusing. I always though Hotaru hung out with Aoi to give the teachers the impression that his time was now dedicated to girls rather then gliding, but if this thread is to be believed, i was way off.

Excellent choice with If my Heart had Wings, that one is a personal favourite.

I've been reading a lot of popular visual novels but now I'm looking for some visual novels that have been translated but haven't received much coverage and attention. Any recommendations and/or places where I can get them from?

I would prefer the protagonist to have a face but I don't find it all that creepy if they don't.
Having a face gives the protagonist a certain depth and provides more insight into their emotions such as when the ferocity in Yuuji's face when he protects Yumiko from the thugs in Grisaia or the surprise in Hisao's face when Hanako kisses him at the end of her route.
You do get these emotions with just the dialogue but you get a better idea of the depth if it has a face to project from. -

That being the case, I think I would enjoy watching your videos should you start a series.

I generally believe video reviews are easier than written ones, just because of the sheer simplicity.
But this is just generally related to the viewer/consumer.
But as a content creator in this case creating video reviews is alot of work.
Script, video editing and a good general understanding of design is required for it to be any good.
Equipment is also needed.
You can always do it without all these and just manhandle it, but I will tell you it will most likely suck then.
If you are prepared for all this, I'd say go for it.
