  1. Updated with new info! Also, here is a recent example of character design and sprites
  2. Personally, I think any drawing tablet is good enough. Especially in the beginning stage, grab a cheap one (I think my first one was around 30-40€ but maybe prices have changed now) and take the time to get used to it. Remember that digital art seems easier than traditional art, but you still need lots of practice. You may feel like the ones with a built-in screen are better (and I'm sure they are, I'm just too poor to afford one lol) but they aren't really necessary to produce good work. But if money isn't an issue then go for it, it depends on your budget. I've had an Intuos Draw since 2017 and it's still going great! Despite being so old that it's not even sold anymore.
  3. Hello. I am working on my visual novel "Synthetizing Love" (click here to check out my devlogs and progress) for the Yuri Game Jam. This started as a solo project but, as it's my first game, I realized I can't do everything on my own. I'm current handling UI design, character design/sprites, writing the entire script and implementing everything in TyranoBuilder. Synopsis: Hannah, a young University student, spends her days leisurely with her friends Chikara and Yvonne until what seemed to be a forgotten memory from her past makes its way into her life once again. Will she lean on her friends to finally face her past and maybe find love, or will she keep on running away, losing everything she holds dear? I'm currently using free assets as backgrounds, but they come from different sources and the difference in style is extremely obvious, which is something I'd like to avoid if possible. Which is why I'm trying to recruit a: BACKGROUND ARTIST: I'm not looking for anything super realistic. Simple and stylized backgrounds would work really well, I think, but what matters most is that they somehow fit with the sprites' style. We can discuss about that anyway, so feel free to send me your portfolio even if you are unsure. This is a hobby project, so I can't afford to pay anyone, which I know isn't a great incentive (believe me, as an artist I know way too well what that means). But if, despite that, you're still interested, please let me know. Of course you will be credited, that much is guaranteed. Feel free to contact me on Discord (tenshiyoru) or by e-mail at [email protected]
  4. @Meinos Kaen hey, è bello vedere un altro italiano! Benvenuto e congratulazioni per il vostro (includo il tuo team ovviamente) nuovo gioco
  5. Thank you @littleshogun! I'm sorry for the late reply too, things have been really busy lately. Also, thank you for your suggestions, then being available on PC is a huge plus and will definitely check them out
  6. Hello! I'm Chiara, a digital artist from Italy who specializes in drawing human figures using a style that goes from anime to semi-realistic. I particularly love drawing female characters! I've done commissions for a few years but I'd also love to work on a video game, possibly a visual novel since that's what better fits my style. I can create character designs, portraits, UI designs or visual novel sprites. I'm open to game logo requests too, although it needs to be discussed; same goes for NSFW content. I'm currently practicing drawing backgrounds so, although I may be able to do something simple, that's not really my strong suit and I won't be able to help as a background artist. Here are my prices with some examples: If you want to see more of my work, feel free to visit my portfolio: UI portoflio | Sprites/CGs portfolio But if aren't interested in a commission at the moment, I also have some game assets ready to use: Female character sprites [free] Cute! UI asset pack [$5] In any case, you can contact me at: e-mail: [email protected] discord: tenshiyoru Or send me a commission request by filling out this form: https://forms.gle/jpW7fM2XkW5VpE348 Thanks for your time!
  7. Will do, thanks for the advice And I'm not gonna lie, Toma's route is interesting in its own way, but my favorite is actually Ukyo's. It's a shame that the games on which most reverse-harem anime are based on never got an English translation. I'd love to play stuff like UtaPri, Brothers Conflict or KamiAso, one day. Still, I will look up your suggestions, thank you very much!
  8. Hi! I am a 2D artist hoping to work on some cool projects, but overall I'm just a visual novel fan wanting to meet like-minded people. Admittedly, I haven't played a VN in a while, but some of my favorites are, in no particular order, Ace Attorney, Dangonronpa, Zero Escape and Amnesia: Memories. Wikipedia even considers Professor Layton a visual novel but I don't know, I'll still mention it just in case. I'm probably forgetting something but I'm sure these already work as good examples. If anyone wants to suggest some good VN I'd appreciate it, I love romance (particularly otome games), suspense, mystery and a good art style (which can be subjective, so don't think too much about it). Nice to meet you all
