  1. I'm kind of a new VN user here, so I haven't played all that much, but if I need to say... then I think that was Rewrite, but that was just because it was the first on my list of downloaded xD!, though... I think it was a good choice there I made :), after all, right now I'm listening to Philosophyz >=)

Philosophyz is nice, but I like the ending songs more, especially Beyond the Darkness.

Also your avatar made me lol :D

  2. Well still playing Katawa Shoujo...Hoping to hit the route I wanted I unconsciously hit a bad end... The route choices on Katawa Shoujo seem to be harder for me to choose from compared to the only Vn's I have tried..

Well The Dead End on KS wasn't that bad, It atleast had a ending compared to the Dead end from Snow Sakura..

I'm sure that part of the reason why it's more difficult is that the devs purposely made it so that the choices are scrambled. :P

Also Rin's choices are complicated and Hanako's aren't what you'd expect in a VN, Lilly's and Shizune's good ends are easy to get though.

Apparently my horrible speeds are still significantly better than average. o_O
  4. Haha it was.. Well if you had to guess does that mean the routes are forced or can you actually choose :\

You can choose, but while the other routes depend on a couple of choices, to get Emi's route the only thing you need to do is choose to push yourself on the track (iirc). Because of this most people end up getting her route first, myself included. :P

  5. Just finished my first route on Katawa Shoujo..

I enjoyed the center story around it and i thought it was interesting, Although it felt like it jumped ahead quiet quickly in terms of the Relationship, or that might just be me.

On a side note of the Route i thought there might of been a climax to the story when

He recieved the letter from Iwanako. And when he scrunched it up and it landed somewhere between his desk, i Thought some sort of drama would happen if "someone" were to find it.

But in the end nothing happened but i enjoyed it still.

Cant wait to try the next one.

Let me guess, was it Emi's route?

  6. Same here, I wouldn't like to seen any type of guro in this thread

As Nay said, but precise it when you're posting hardcore stuff. Personally I reaaaally don't want to see guro yuri.

Motion carried, posting guro in this thread is now punishable by ಠ_ಠ'ing.

  7. Okay, now that I actually have the time, I can look and see what else is interesting.

    • Sakura Trick
    • Mahou Sensou
    • Toaru Hikuushi e no Koiuta
    • Tonari no Seki-kun
    • Onee-chan ga Kita
    • Imouto no Yousu ga Chotto Okaishiin Da Ga
    • Chuu22
    • Shingeki no Kyojin OVA
    • Little Busters OVA

Chuu2koi 2 i'll get more avatar material, i'm also looking forward to Nisekoi. I've been reading Seki-kun manga for a while, i'm kinda exited but i hope i don't get a letdown. and naturally i'll try some others that pick my interest when they start airing *cough* sakura trick *cough*

Sorry, but the Grammar Nazi inside me wants you to know that it's "pique my interest".

  8. It wasn't that it didn't work at all, but it would crash halfway through.

Pretty much everything besides grade-school level text uses kanji, yes. Both Kanji and hiragana are used in 99% of all sentences, and katakana appear a bit less frequently. The joyo kanji are, from what I remember, a goverment mandated list of kanji that you need to know to have basic literacy. With just those kanji you can supposedly read most conventional texts.

  9. Just a word of warning, I tried using Anki on my tablet twice, and both times it crashed and in doing so saved my progress to the server incorrectly. I later on used my tablet for reading the PDFs and used the comment function to practice writing each kanji, and then switched to my netbook for Anki. Bit of a hassle, but everything worked.

It is certainly easier to remember hiragana and katakana than it is to remember kanji, because there's only around 50 of of each, unlike kanji of which there are thousands. Each hiragana simply stands for a sound, like "a", "na" or "ro". You can technically write any word in the Japanese language using only hiragana, but you end up with very long and messy words. Katakana are exactly the same as hiragana, only they look different and are mostly used in loan words. Finally kanji are the characters that Japanese got from Chinese, and each one has at least one meaning, as well as multiple readings.

I first learned hiragana and katakana, but while I was studying kanji I forgot most of them because I didn't practice, so I've had to re-learn them.
