  1. There's a great, very short visual novel by Key called Planetarian, but I'm sure you've already heard of / read it.
  2. Happy Birthday!

  3. I quite like it when the MC is voiced, but to be honest it really doesn't bother either way. I thought it worked out very well in YU-NO.
  4. Foreshadowing to Alternative, 5 minutes into Extra Not funny out of context, though.
  5. Thanks for the welcome, everyone! I think I'll definitely enjoy it here.
  6. Hi, I'm Jake! Today is my first day on the forums. I have been reading visual novels for years. My favorites as of now are Muv-Luv Alternative, Sharin no Kuni, Radical Dreamers, and YU-NO. My visual novel list is here. I also very much enjoy gaming. I do not play current generation games very much, but when I do it is usually on my PC. I am a huge fan of the Elder Scrolls series, although mainly for the lore, which I often read up on through UESP. I am also a huge fan of the Chrono series. Music is another thing I love very much, especially game and visual novel soundtracks. My favorite soundtracks are probably Chrono Cross, Radical Dreamers, Rewrite, and YU-NO. Yasunori Mitsuda, Ryu Umemoto, and all the main composers for KEY are amongst my favorite composers. I'm glad to be here, and I can't wait to discuss things with you guys!
  7. After finishing Muv-Luv Alternative, I jumped right into Sharin no Kuni after two days. When I finished that (loved them both, highly recommended for anyone), not even ten minutes later I jumped into Rewrite, which I'm still playing. I have completed two routes, and I'm almost finished with a third route. So far, I like it so much that it could be one of my favorites.
  8. The true route of YU-NO Koihate is set in a fictional world with a very medieval feel, the game itself is quite good. It takes a long time to get to the true route, though.
