Just caught up on a lot of the changes to the site and why they occured. I'm disappointed in the changes, not because of the changes themselves but why they had to occur.

Finally came back to this community after leaving it for no reason. Its nice to see the changes.

Time to continue clearing my Anime and Visual Novel backlog this winter break.

The only thing I've accomplished over the summer was clearing some of my anime backlog.

Fair enough, honorifics are never super important to the shows plot / purpose. Still don't like the idea of the meaning being lost in translation but your point about the wapanese level of dub watchers makes sense.

Essentially, Japanese culture doesn't translate very well in dubs, and this statement has been proven consistently to be true.

Dubs are terrible, not because its in our native language but because the voices don't fit the character almost all the time. Also, translations are terrible imo. You got to hand it to Funimation for translating "Onee-sama" as "Sissy" in Toaru Kagaku no Railgun. "Big Sis" would have been the better translation and even then, our culture and language doesn't have ...

Been trying to pry myself away from anime to get Kud's route in Little Busters finished but I can't seem to do it...

I'm glad my friend introduced me to Fuwanovel. I was beginning to crave playing more Visual Novels but didn't know any sites that could provide english translations.
