  1. Waiting on Re:Zero to finish airing before I marathon it. I've heard too much about it to give in to the hype and disappoint myself by having to wait weekly.
  2. With this season comes something I haven't done in a long time: watching stuff as it airs. Watching Rewrite, Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya 3rei, Shokugeki no Souma:Ni no Sara, and Love Live Sunshine. Finished Joukamachi no Dandelion and loved it. Finished Kiznaiver and absolutely loved it. Finished Yuuki Yuuna and enjoyed the journey to the ending if not the ending itself.
  3. Finished Mayoiga, Shomin Sample, and Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry. I didn't get what I expected in Mayoiga but I liked what I got instead. I expected to enjoy Shomin Sample a lot more than I actually did, but still a fun show. I didn't like the main heroine in Rakudai all that much so the show was pretty meh. Started Joukamachi no Dandelion and I absolutely love it. I really can't go wrong with watching a show where Hanazawa Kana voices the main heroine.
  4. Finished Amagi Brilliant Park and Haikyu season 1. Amagi was really nice but I wish That aside, I don't know what I expected from Amagi Brilliant Park but I really like what I got anyway. Haikyu is in a similar situation. My friends keep saying that its hype but while I did get excited at a few parts, it wasn't the excitement I was expecting. The way the matches end up proceeding don't lend itself to hype me up. Maybe it was more hype when it was a weekly watch instead of a binge watch. Started Haikyu season 2 against my better judgement even though I know there's going to be a third season of Haikyu.
  5. Started burning through my backlog a bit. Marathoned through all of Gate and started Amagi Brilliant Park and I'm 4 episodes in. Love Gate though the ending was displeasing due to the nature of events. There was also one plot point that was never expanded on which bothered me... Amagi Brilliant Park is looking good so far. Still don't know who I'd pick as my favorite between Latifa, Isuzu and the Elementario girls.
  6. Re:Nagi no Asukara best ship and some spoilers: I finished Koufuku Graffiti just the other day. Its been stalled at the last episode for the longest time because life got busy when I was planning to finish it, and I just never got around to finishing it. There wasn't enough Shiina in the show, but the cute girls doing cute things with some philosophical pondering on the side was great.
  7. Going to give you that Tatami Galaxy recommendation. Katanagatari as well, along with Seitokai Yakuindomo. The lack of a list of shows seen to filter stuff out, which also serves as a way for us to see what kinds of shows you like, makes this recommendation thing kind of a crap shoot.
  8. The last nose dive I spoke of is Seconding the notion that no one should watch True Tears. I certainly was beyond salty about what happened...
  9. My problem with Charlotte is not episode 6 but what happens afterwards. I was getting tired of the "bad guy of the week" vibe from the previous episodes and got super hype after episode 6. And then got horribly, HORRIBLY disappointed. Just when I thought the series was going to pick up, it did a nose dive. And then another, and then once more just to round out the season.... If my sources (which are basically hearsay mind you) are to be believed, Meada's allotted time to work with got cut in half. Charlotte could have been like many other Key works. Starting out with several slice of life episodes in the beginning to get you to like the characters, eventually culminating into a twist with a big bang at the end. Instead... well you'll see for yourself.
  10. Plastic Memories spoilers: Going to reiterate that loli big boobs is also my least favorite part in the show, aside from the villains of course. The other female interests do a much better job in my opinion of getting the viewer to like them. Hestia is just the stereotypical jealous girl which is always my least favorite character in harems.
  11. Its an on going struggle of how my Plan to Watch list continues to grow year after year. At the very least, every now and then, I come back to my Plan to Watch list to prune it of anime that looked promising but reviews say otherwise.
  12. Bakemonogatari Nisemonogatari Nekomonogatari: Kuro Monogatari Series: Second Season Hanamonogatari Tsukimonogatari Monogatari Series: Final Season (Otherwise known as Owarimonogatari) Koyomimonogatari In that order
  13. Echoing Flutterz, Plastic Memory had the potential to be a master piece. There was so much room for more food for thought. I started the first episode of Koyomimonogatari the other day. Man, I'm glad I forgot this was a thing. I can watch without having to wait in between episodes for more.
  14. DAL the first was fine. It was DAL the second that was mediocre. Not that I care though because I mainly watched DAL the second for the twins. DxD is great if you can turn your brain off and watch with your dick, echoing what Ittaku said.
  15. SAO II is really good. People will most likely dislike the mini arc in between the two halves of SAO II but I don't see how people can have a problem with the second half of SAO II. The second half of SAO on the other hand... lets just say as someone who read the LNs first, even the volumes it was adapted from were kind of mediocre. With regards to Guilty Crown: I've been told time and time again if I don't like Inori A LOT after the first few episodes, I should stop watching it. Which I guess is just more confirmation that the show wasted its potential. Knowing me though, I'll probably like Inori enough to continue and subsequently regret my decision. Yeah, I really should get on that Amagi Brilliant Park train. It's been awhile since I watched a good KyoAni show (Tamako Market and Kyoukai no Kanata though... ). Haven't seen Euphonium yet so maybe KyoAni has been doing better lately?
  16. Calling them mass murderers is over simplifying their situation quite a bit, but its been far too long since I read Rewrite to properly support my claim. So I'll just leave it at that. The girl you're talking about Barktooth was either the "current" Gaia figure head or the little girl that was next in line after Akane. Its fuzzy but those are the only two that I can think of. Gaia created an entirely different subspace intending to live there for the rest of eternity. Thats why in Terra, it took Kotarou's Mother, Father, and Tsukuno to push Kotarou and Akane out of the City of Stone. In Terra, you learn that its possible to lock people into the City of Stone. ....I hate you for getting me hooked back into Rewrite. I couldn't easily look into the other routes since my saves of those routes are gone but I had my saves from Terra still. All the emotions I feel now thanks to going through the route again to reach the City of Stone portion... makes me remember how sad I was reading this. Jesus Christ, I can barely get myself together after reliving through the pain I felt. I really don't get your point about Refrain Eclipsed. If anything, Terra had more jaw dropping revelations than Refrain did. And I guess its already too late to spoiler some of these posts so that people who might not have finished reading all of Rewrite can post in this thread...
  17. Danmachi was pretty much do you like Hestia? Or can you tolerate her enough for the other female characters? I answered yes to the second question and thus watched it because of that. And yes Danmachi is most definitely a harem. Who in there right mind is actually claiming it to be otherwise?
  18. Pretty much what Abyssal Monkey said. If you watched it with no prior knowledge or expectations, its fine. The second half of the anime adaptation though... like it doesn't help that the source volume the second half comes from was mediocre but man oh man did that second half suck. Hataraku Maou-sama: Emi a best. Fight me (I'm saying this jokingly but seriously, Emi > Chiho) Golden Time: It was alright in the beginning but it just started feeling worse and worse due to it being a character driven show with characters that are hard to like. The only reason it was ok in the beginning was because of the college setting. I didn't like any of the characters but I figured they'd grow on me. They didn't... screw the MC.
  19. I'm with you Fred when it comes to shows like One Week Friends. I'm very capable of suspending my disbelief so I tend to enjoy shows other people would have problems with. I recently finished Plastic Memories and I enjoyed it, though there were quite a few people to point out how ridiculous some things were. WataMote was pretty much exactly as Nosebleed described. For me though, it was mostly hilariously cringy. I really related to her THOUGHTS but not so much her actions, since I'd say I was more attuned with social cues during my adolescence but that show hit hard with the cringe at times. I started watching Lain forever ago but it wasn't really on my terms so I never went back to finish it. I always knew there was some deep meaning to Lain which is why I've been wanting to go back to watch it, but its hard nowadays. Maybe I've turned off my brain far too much recently to truly appreciate it right now. Wait no, I watched Tatami Galaxy fairly recently... I guess I'll go restart on Lain after I finish Koufuku Graffiti.
  20. Been watching Koufuku Graffiti. The show makes me want to cook every episode.
  21. Finished Tatami Galaxy the other day. Holy mother of god was it amazing. The conclusion was just so mind blowing for dumb ol' me, even though I probably should have seen the clues. The feeling of depression when I finished the last episode....man....
  22. Between AGDQ and getting back into MH4U, I haven't been watching as much as I wanted to. So I'm posting this to "force" myself to start watching Tatami Galaxy like I've been meaning to.
  23. I couldn't have said it better myself. To put it crudely, I came multiple times during that episode. And what REALLY killed it for me, was the ED sequence. Seeing the past 3 seasons in quick review brought up so much nostalgia that I couldn't help but grin even harder than I already was throughout the episode. It's sad that Working is over but man, what a way to end it.
  24. Oh my god, I'm ashamed that I didn't realized it aired until I saw your post just now. Time to orgasm over this ending.
  25. I glanced over the thread, since a lot of repetitive information was being thrown around and there were a lot of "10/10 just because" and "1/10 why was this liked" posts littered throughout the thread. http://www.anime-evo.net/2014/11/07/in-defence-of-shigatsu-wa-kimi-no-uso/ As stated in that piece "The fact of the matter is that Shigatsu is series that’s ridden with faults and issues, and your enjoyment and mileage of the show will depend on how glaring those issues are to you." None of the issues he's brought up mattered that much to me. Slap stick comedy? A little jarring at times but doesn't hurt the overall series' point at all. "Bullying"? Mostly light hearted jabbing between friends, emphasis on mostly. Middle Schoolers thinking at a higher level than their age? Suspension of disbelief. The fact is that different people obviously led different lives in middle school. You may think its crazy that they're even having these kinds of thoughts but I don't. Kaori being less than perfect? Go figure Kousei is blinded by love, and a character has flaws and imperfections despite being idolized as an ideal... In other news, I finally got around to watching Monster Musume like I've been meaning to, and recently got back into Umaru after a random hiatus. Monmusu was the light hearted piece I needed after Owarimonogatari.
