  1. It was obviously done by someone who is either a literalist or is Japanese. The reason I say this is because many of the word choices are odd and the grammar's awkwardness speaks to the fact that the person in question was trying to align the rhythm of the lines with the original Japanese ones in a lot of cases. This is a stumbling block a lot of translators never get past, because they fail to realize that the differences in grammar make some rearrangement necessary. This is a stumbling block that is, ironically, born of a decent or good understanding of Japanese.
