I'd still say you'll want to go with Kotori simply because of her skill. You can useNico, just make sure she's in the least note recurring spot. Kotori is definitely be better when her skill triggers frequently - in theory. Try out both and see what the outcome is.

I usually follow these two rules when making my team, hope it helps. 1st Rule: Matching Attributes [1] Extra 10% point increase is awesome [2] The only time you ignore this rule is if the point difference is large (eg. SR vs N) and/or 2nd Rule applies. 2nd Rule: What are their skills? [1] Skills make a ton of difference. I cannot emphasise that enough. [2] It's very important for score ranking in particular. [3] Generally go for skills that trigger on combos, as opposed to time (Higher difficulty = More combos) -> Not an issue when you start using Rs and above, but only ignore the combo>time rule if and only if the 1st Rule: [2] applies. [Note] Combo based skills require perfects to trigger, i.e. You must be able to (nearly) perfect full combo a song consistently to gain the point advantage. -> If you aren't confident, raw points mostly is a better choice, considering Attribute Bonus. Consistency is a must! This allows you to decide if you should replace skill based cards with raw points card instead. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using your cards as example: I put a Cool Kotori (3010pt) in my Pure team over a Pure Hanayo (3315pt). And let's say: - Kotori's skill is: % chance 200pt increase every xx combo - Hanayo's skill is : % chance to heal 2 stamina every xx seconds At first, it looks like I've committed blasphemy, with -305 less total points. However, Kotori's skill can easily make up the difference. If I went with Hanayo, I'll receive 10% matching attribute bonus, but that's all I'll be getting. Stack up those 200pts trigger from Kotori and she'll easily award a greater return compared to Hanayo. A good way to illustrate this is by comparing your high scores with your current score whenever you full combo. I can FC a song and still be 5k behind my high score, all because my skills didn't trigger as often. This alone should really emphasize just how OP skills can help you. (And 5k extra points makes a lot of difference in event song ranking) PS: This is also why I absolutely hate stamina heal skills, especially on SR/UR. Such a waste ~ (Which is why my Cool team has no Pure SRs) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So regarding your question: [For both Pure & Cool Team] - Use Kotori unless Hanayo's skill is similar/better than Kotori's skill (refer to [3] for 2nd Rule) (I assume that Pure Hanayo card has a heal skill, like most Pure cards do) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Don't worry too much on formulas for now. Just remember: - Strongest card in the centre - Matching attributes everywhere else - If you have cards of different attributes, place them in spots with least recurring notes - Anything else, refer to the two rules I talked about No one mentioned skills so I kinda felt the need to emphasise their importance. It's one different song everyday from their duo/trio group; they're also harder than normal live songs.

We are already playing the -again- version (song-wise) and from what I've read so far, JP had to repeat the events because the android version of the game only came out after those two events were already over. EN version already started out with the game on all devices. I suppose we'll just have to wait and see.

Things will quiet down a bit since there'll be nothing to look out for every week anymore But it's not like we're all suddenly going to hate Love Live. Idolm@ster is still doing pretty well after their anime, plus they got a movie after a while too. I do hope we get more of LL though. A side story would be interesting, gives us reasons to see everyone from μ's again from time to time. And more OVAs or PVs like Music Start, because I still say the OVA had the best detail quality out of the entire two seasons (The hair ~ Look at their hair! ) It'll be a sad day once the show finishes, but I'll hold back my tears until then!

Hehe, don't get too comfy or you'll be really surprised how hectic it gets in the end. Top 200 will definitely be at least 23-25k. So aim for that first.

I cannot believe I actually watched the whole video. If there's one thing I'm absolutely certain, is that this guy really really loves Umi-chan. (Yay ~) And I loled so hard when he got UR Honoka again. Could not help it. The Nico x Maki song is so catchy. Loved it so much already. I'm more frustrated at those who has several UR and has spent so little.

Also ~ This might make you glad our version is seperate from JP's Fun fact : The cut-off for 1 SR in Nico's event was 31330pts, for ~ top 5000. 2 SR was 47472pts. Glad I'm not in JP's verison. So tempted to download it too but I'll wait for subs to come out. I really hope I don't have to get sad like in the last episode.

I only reached that high because I can't play the game anymore for a while.

Welp, I'm finally done with this event. Should be enough to stay in top 200. Absolutely burned out. Sad I don't get to play for a while, might even miss a part of Nico's event. At least I can go through a day without thinking, "Did I use my LP? How much time have I waste?".

Kotori event - Top 1k cut-off Last day: 21k - ish Day before: 15 - 16k The difference between points throughout top 1k were also very close. Almost every player were a few points from dropping several ranks. I'd say aim for at least 20k points for now and see where that takes you. As for how many love gems you need to spend, I'm guessing 10? Depends on a few things. If you're unsure, wait until the last few days to decide. But definitely aim for at least 20k if you want to be in top 1k. --------------------------------------------------- On a different note: I still don't understand how song ranking goes crazy on the last day considering you need a good team for that. Did everyone suddenly decided to just spam honor scouting?

You don't really need to spend any gems for 11k, definitely not. But you're quite right about it being a waste of love gems though, especially with this current event. I still think it's worth it because I'm getting more SRs than the amount it cost to draw them. Yes, there is the guaranteed SR event, but that can just go away because my luck is atrocious. And Umi is my goddess. That too.

Thanks so much for the info! It'll save me the frustration every time my internet decides to off itself. Could be that reason. But I'm playing on an iPad though, so we're not too far apart in terms of platform (I think).

Eh... I surely can't be the only person who's experienced this. Every time my connection dies after I finish a song, it immediately says "Transmission Error. Please restart app". I've only ever gotten the "Connecting" message once and I can't even remember when but it definitely wasn't after a song.

That aspect of the game is something I appreciate a lot as well. But what if the game asks you to restart because it failed to send the data over? Do I have to restart the app at this point or will getting back my internet connection fix it?

I suppose it was fast, but it definitely took effort to achieve, around 10 hours of playing. Like I already mentioned, I haven't actually slept yet since this event started. -_- Spent 31 lovecas so far + 7 from leveling. She'll definitely be a good boost. Her max stats aren't that far behind the normal SR Umi as well, which is nice.

Finally got my Umi SR, yay ~ Getting a short break before playing again. I haven't slept for 31 hours now. Tempted to go through another night without rest.

The notes on Kotori and Umi's event song are from the repeat version. So if that's any indication, we'll jump straight to Honoka's event after Nico's.

"It's just Umi" - Lies, Deceit, Blasphemy! I would gladly give my life to her if it weren't for this cursed reality. You would do the same for Nico and Maki right? Rightttt? And I have absolutely horrible luck so 100 gems for 3 SR is fine in my book.

Top 200 for Kotori event was around 25k - so about 70 love gems minimum. Assumptions: - 52 LP - Level 54/55 - Used love gems from the start - Reset LP immediately when empty I didn't take leveling / LP normal recharge into the calculation I spent about 30 gems and got around rank 30, so other factors do have a noticeable impact on how much you eventually use. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not gonna lie, I plan only using at least 100 love gems for this. The top 200 could once again be 25k, it could also not be. I can't afford to make a mistake...... unfortunately. On the plus side, 100 love gems for 3 SRs is pretty worth it, considering my misfortune.

Because I really want to, since I can only participate until the 22nd, I'm gonna do a progression post every now and again (iPad will be taken away for a while ) I still plan on getting in the top 200 and staying there though. Hopefully my stress will keep you all entertained. I hope your friend has most of his R/SR/UR maxed out because his method will net a loss of exp. You'll only get half of the exp you've used if you maxed out your Ns first.

Well... 11k (if it stays the same) would be enough for an SR Umi. But I want all 3 because Umi-chan is my goddess.
