    It's a game made in a quite old version of the tool SRPG Studio. Anyway, it seems like the issue is that it's trying to write a non-monospace font with monospace spacing. I fixed it by setting the font to Consolas. Maybe the developers changed something to support non-monospace fonts after they later released an english version of the tool, which was also passed over to newer japanese versions?

    Does anyone know the direct cause of this common font issue? Image Running into this in a project, despite another game from a newer version of the same engine having no such problem. If anyone has any info whatsoever, would be appreciated.
