I’m not sure there can be an objective game’s quality, just like in the case with anything else. It all depends on a person, after all. They say, “the beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” One can say that spider soli 2 is a perfectly designed game, and the other will not agree. We can do nothing about that. We may try to look for some objective reasons to like or dislike a game, but they will always be connected to other things that we like or dislike. If you like 2d pixel graphics, you are more probably to like Starbound than a person who likes open-world PvPs. The only quality I may think of as an objective one is the developers' effort into creating the game. The time they spend and the attention they pay to every detail.
