  1. Okay. I'll try the 100% save, and if that doesn't fix the issue than I may put the vn on the backburner for now. Thanks for the help!
  2. I tried deleting the corrupted saves and redownloading it but it didn't help any. I may have to download that 100% save file you mentioned. Where can I download one?
  3. I did redownload (first thing I did) but nothing changed. I still had my old saves (which I was grateful for) and my old problems (which I wasn't). Is there a way to delete my save files? If I do that and then redownload maybe it would work. Edit: Also, should I try uninstalling? I've never uninstalled a vn before so I'm not sure what to expect.
  4. So I've played G-senjou up to the Tsubaki Route when my laptop froze over (I'm already getting help for this) so I had to do a hard reset. When I restarted G-senjou I couldn't get into the Tsubaki Route again. I can reload saves from the common route or choose the "Ditch her while I can" option, but if I choose "Devote myself to Tsubaki" or load a future save from the route I get the errors post below. Given the mention of "(void)" in the errors, maybe some files or saves for that route have been corrupted? I guess I'll start up the other routes in the meantime but I appreciate some help. Thanks in advance, W4H Screenshots
  5. Alright, so C:Program Files is fine for future vns, but just in this instance I should avoid it. I'll redownload them, make sure the files aren't in C: Program Files, and unzip them with 7zip. Thanks again for the help!
  6. I meant the D drive instead of the C drive. When I download visual novels (after I get them off of UTorrent) it normally goes straight to C: Program Files. I'm not sure where else it can be installed.
  7. Okay. I'll keep that in mind, thanks. Edit: One last thing: where would you suggest I put it, and other future downloaded visual novels? On a separate dvd or flash drive?
  8. Alright, thanks for the help (even despite your reservations). I'll look up 7zip online. Hopefully it will work correctly this time.
  9. No, I didn't expect the original zip files would self destruct or something. I just didn't know if the original zip files would conflict with the new unzipped files so I just left them be. I clicked the option for "Extract all". I'm pretty sure I didn't do it through Windows Explorer. No, you had it right the first time. Rio.arc.bkp only appeared when I ran apply_diffs. But it's the only file in my restoration patch folder that has .bkp. The rest end with .diff. Uh, sorry? I meant that more as "I'm not tech-savvy" vs. "I'm stupid". If need be I'll read up on console outputs on Google and find out what I'm supposed to be looking for.
  10. Well, when I first downloaded it, I had the restoration patch and the game in zipped folders. I unzipped them both, but they just made copies of themselves, so I had two zipped folders and two unzipped folders. I put the unzipped restoration patch files into the unzipped game folder and ran apply_diffs. The other files in the restoration patch in my game directory read .arc.diff. Should I have deleted the previous folders and made sure all the files read .arc.bkp? P.S. I wouldn't know how to read the console output, and even if I did I wouldn't know what looks right or wrong in it.
  11. So, I downloaded If My Heart Had Wings, and I thought everything was going fine. I had Rio.arc.bkp in my restoration patch folder so, despite some Engrish, I thought the patch had successfully installed. But I just reached a scene where Kotori fell in the bath but already had a towel wrapped around her, despite that Aoi requested a beach towel so that she could be wrapped up in one - a clear sign that the scene had been tampered with. I thought I did everything I was supposed to, unzip the folder and put the files into the game directory/folder and then run apply_diffs. What went wrong? Thanks for the help. P.S. Is there any way to delete my old saves? Since the patch doesn't work on old saves I'm gonna need the slots for future saves.
  12. In that case I'll wait until I can beat a level 70 character (considering my highest, Yuella, is only 11 that's gonna be a while) get the Deadbeat stigma, continue on through the dungeon, beat the Deadbeat God, and then get rid of it. I'll scrounge around for gold until then.
  13. Ah, I didn't realize people replied to this. I pmed the maker of this walkthrough, Tom, shortly after posting this question and then made a sale or two with Emelita as clerk. As for the Deadbeat Dungeon, I've been there but the sign that appears afterwards at the Workshop was annoying so I'm holding off it. Thanks for the help.
  14. I'm having trouble with Sales in the workshop. I'm only in chapter 1, and I've been having the guild send a clerk while I've been out doing quests. I've been gone for four days and return to find that I've made no income at all in the shop. I've yet to make any income there despite having my Attract be at 70%., my Sales at 90% and my Price be at 111%. I've put in furniture, created items and then put them in the list and pressed confirm and still nothing. Am I just too early in the game still? Will I start racking in income in later chapters? I just want to make sure I'm not doing something wrong. Thanks for the help.
  15. Thank you! That did it! Also, the specs are useful to have. Thanks for showing that program to me as well.
  16. Alright, here's the first part of the error message. It asks you to click yes or no: --------------------------- 前回正常終了しませんでした. --------------------------- Yes No --------------------------- But no matter what you click you end up with this: --------------------------- エラー --------------------------- DirectXGraphicsオブジェクトの生成に失敗しました. プログラムを終了します. --------------------------- OK --------------------------- And here's my specs: http://speccy.piriform.com/results/VE2MVfE0bSz8lYk0ohw10FD
  17. I know what you're talking about - I've seen people on steam give their specs - but I'm definitely not tech savvy so I don't know where to find the info.
  18. DirectX Graphic was the only part in English. I can see if it happens again (the message appears on start up) and get an image of it somehow. As for chat box I meant that space on the bottom of each game page but before the button you click to download it. As for the game (and it's embarrassing I forgot to mention it) it's Kamidori Alchemist Meister. I've only downloaded ones like Fate Stay Night & Grisaia so far so I was unaware of any patches or visual drivers I need to download as well.
  19. I moved this from the chatbox since I was getting no replies. I think I'm getting an error message: Something about DirectX Graphics. Does that mean my graphics card is not good enough for the game? Also, I went ahead and read the FAQ and realized that instead of just changing system local and then clicking to download the game in Utorrent that for this game something else needs to be installed - something about a virtual drive program. Also, is the game here on Fuwanovel in Japanese and a patch is needed?
  20. Oh. I always kept it within the folder and I just opened the folder and clicked the "Tsukihime" or "Fate Stay Night" and ran the application to play the visual novel. I didn't know I should have taken the folder out and let it install. The only time I actually had to install was this time, when Grisaia gave me that shortcut on my desktop that I later deleted. Originally, I managed to install it just fine. It was in Japanese and I went through the pop ups and pushed okay. But once it was done I tried to click on it and nothing happened (I didn't realize I needed to then download the English patch) so I deleted the shortcut on my computer. It was only afterwards that I read the Installation Instructions and realized that not only did I hit "install" instead of the "bootmenu" but I deleted it once it was installed when I only needed to go to the English Patch next. My problem is that I can't seem to get it installed again. If that is fixed, then I can go to the translation patch and everything will be fine. I decided to just undo it all. Delete the folder and the torrent and start fresh, following the instructions. If any problems come up I'll post again. As for downloading Puush for the screenshots, hopefully that won't be necessary. Edit: And all good. The redownloading did the trick. Thanks for all the help!
  21. 1. I have a Windows 8. It's a HP if that matters any. 2. I don't know how. As I said, not much of a techie at all. But I definitely covered everything in the original post. Okay. So I used uTorrent in order to download it from Fuwanovel. I should delete the folder I got from uTorrent and then get a new one? I'll give that a try. Thanks for the help! Writer4Hire
  22. Hey, I've only just recently discovered Fuwanovel and it's free visual novels and I'm really excited to get into it. However, I'm no techie. I managed to download and play Fate Stay Night and Tsukihime just fine. But when I had to switch over to Japanese System local for Grisaia no Kajitsu I bumped into a problem. Basically, I didn't read the instructions and installed the game from "install" instead of "bootmenu", once it popped up on my desktop and nothing happened when I clicked on it, I found out my mistake, deleted it from the desktop (since "uninstall" didn't seem to do anything) and tried bootmenu. But it doesn't work. It or install. Instead, I just get this error message: C:/Users:WriterForHire/Downloads/[Fuwanovel] Grisaia no Kajitsu/1) Install Grisaia no Kajitsu (run bootmenu.exe)/unist.exe with some Japanese characters before the C and after the unist.exe. What should I do to fix this? I need to have it installed before I can go to the English patch, right? And for future reference, are all games that need Japanese system local need to be installed first from the bootmenu and then have the English patch installed after? Thanks in advance for the help! Writer4Hire Edit: Another thing, the pop up says DFN and a Japanese character at the top, if that helps any.
