While i don't dislike her that strongly, she is my least favorite one and has times when she's downright annoying....i don't like the fact that the first playthrough is locked to her route but i understand that is needed to understand some stuff, meh whatevs i'll play it just so i can get to the good ones, at least the ones i'm most interested in (Morishita & Aomi...though i'm sure Mifuyu and the financial girl are good too, can't recall her name atm xD)

The funny thing is, that she was way less annoying in her route, once the romance started, than compared to some of the other routes where her jealousy went overboard (Aomi), OTOH, for example in Michiru`s route, she becomes pretty sweet.

In the end I'd say the Mifuyu route was the one I liked the least. I just don't sympathize that much with her preferring to be the victim approach.

  2. Yeah the student councils/governments in Japan or at least visual novels in general seem to have more power than the principal or Dean so it just looks so silly.... :wahaha: No way I'm gonna let that shit slide if it happened irl. Gonna report them for abuse of power.

I think it was said during the game somewhere that the student council had as much power as the local government. Absolutely ridiculous.

While I agree, it's definitely not the most outrageous idea I've seen in VNs.

  3. I finished Chisato's and Miifuyu's route so far and I'm more than halfway through Satsuki's but I have to say, hearing Hazuki confess to Yuuki, what a waste.

Why have such a fun and sexy character, who is even in love with the protagonist and then not have a route for her? Stupid, just stupid.

Especially since you could have let it branch off from the Satsuki route pretty easily and naturally.

That is a negative point in my book, really. I would definitely want her route.

A positive thing was that Chisato's route, once you are settled on her becomes a lot less annoying than I expected it to be. On the other Hand Mifuyu was really unnerving with her constant attempts at pushing Yuuki away from her.

  4. Well, hope always dies last. Sometimes projects really get picked up again.

It is however a damn shame for this to die so close to completion.

I can't understand why someone who put his heart into this translation and got so far, won't at least offer what exists of his work to others who could continue.

Even if I had no interest into it anymore, I would do it, so as not to waste all the effort I already put into it.

  5. Eh, right now the Sheeta and Gao Gao versions are about the same, maybe Sheeta's is a little worse. Gao Gao's version is just a beta and they're still going through QC passes to improve it, so maybe you should wait for the final Gao Gao version if you want a (hopefully) high quality experience.

edit: A tragic side note: Gao Gao actually finished up the script and it's ready for release, but their hacker vanished and he's the only one with all of the tools necessary for creating the patch. He's been MIA for two months now.

Like I wrote in my op, I'm willing to wait as long as it takes.

Yeah, I think I read something like that. In the end, I think if he doesn't reappear, they could probably find someone who can replace him though. There are enough guys fit in stuff like this. You just have to find someone who is interested.

  6. Title is pretty self explanatory.

Playing Air is sort of like a dream for me.

I read about the controversy regarding the two different translations and I can't decide on my own, which one I should try.

In your opinion, which one is preferable?

I'm not talking about which one is more complete, I'm willing to wait as long as it takes.

If this is no appropriate question, I'm sorry.

  7. 1. Make sure you are in japanese system / unicode locale. Changing your region is different, and will not help. Look at this guide: https://fuwanovel.net/faq/setting-windows-to-japanese-locale

    2. If you are not, or were not when you first ran the .bat file, run it again once you are in japanese locale. Potentially you might have to clean out a bad registry entry caused before to make that work, but I think it won't actually be a ptoblem (touch wood).

Please screenshot or note down the text of the error you get.

As far as I can tell the replacement file is identical to the one we're using in the current release? O.o

Thanks. that seems to have done it. The problem I have now is that the program crashes each time I try to get into the systems directory to change options.

Any idea what might be the reason for that?

Edit: Never mind, it was because I had two copies of the game on my hard drive, now that I erased one, it's working fine.;)

  8. I've been playing it for a while and the Amane and Kotori routes are okay. At times the translation read a bit strange and there were some obvious errors, but mostly it was okay.

I'm at Ageha's route now and here it's a totally different story.

The translation is so bad that it's hard and sometimes impossible to understand what is happening or rather what people are talking about. All too often it reads like senseless gibberish.

Suddenly they started to refer to Tobioka sensei as she and her for a while, totally out of nowhere.

I'm not sure I can continue playing with this level of stupidity, so I hope the new translation will be finished soon.^^

(Of course it could be the game itself, that makes no sense, but I honestly doubt that^^),.

  9. So, I was getting the error messages saying that the system couldn't find the files specified when I tried running the apply_diff.bat. I changed the system locale, re-installed outside program files, disabled UAC, and it still won't go through. Running on windows 8, anyone have any ideas what's going wrong?

You did put the patch files into the game folder before running the patch, right?

  10. https://imageshack.com/i/0evrd1p

when i press the image it give me this and at some point of the game it appear too

during the sex scene it have black screen

and i'm still having problem with crashing

I had the same kind of error when I tried to run the patched game without switching to japanese locale or using applocale.

You have to remember, the restored parts of the game  are meant to run under japanese localization.

  11. The patch doesn't remove the need for JP locale yet - no idea if this is still a planned feature for the second patch.

No idea what the first notable change is, but the bathroom scenes a bit into the game are a dead giveaway if it worked or not - if the girls are in the tub with towels the patch did NOT work.

Okay, I tried skipping to the bathroom scene without applocale and got tons of japanese errors pretty soon.

Then I tried again, this time with applocale running and it worked just fine, arrived at the bathroom scene and Kotori is showing off her tiny boobs guite nicely.^^

Thanks for the info, now I know the patch installation worked correctly.

FWIW, most of the time I found the VNs do run with applocale, without the need to constantly change your localization back and forth and restarting and all that bull.

where exactly is the game installation directory? I think i installed the patch correctly but the bath scene is still the same :(

When you use win7 or 8, you should change the installation directory from program or programfiles folder to somewhere else, as the patch will not have authorization to overwrite the game data in those directories.

You could try running the patch as admin, that might work.

  12. Is there any way to make sure the patch has worked?

I installed the game and ran the patch and it seems to have worked properly, but I can still play the game without changing the locale to Japanes or at least running applocale.

There are no errors so far, but I'm pretty early in the game, I really don't want to spend a lot of time on it, to then realize the patch isn't working correctly.

I'm at the start of the second schoolday right now and so far no mention of boobs, even though Amane has fairly large ones.^^
