  2. I don't have words. I'm in shock. Seriously though, all of you are amazing. There isn't much I can say that I haven't said in my letters. (of the non trash-talk kind) xD This was such a fun, challenging experience, and I'm so happy to have spent it with all of you. Congratulations to you all, because you're all winners in my book. <3 Thank you all so much for an excellent time. Looking forward to seeing and possibly being a part of more! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Dr2OUe-KmE And one last thing- El. Psy. Congroo.
  3. Dear fellow competitors, It is with a heavy heart that I, Bizkitdoh, inform you of the passing of the Steins;Gate Limited Edition Giveaway thread. Enclosed within this post lies my final entry, and above all, my final words to each and every one of you in regards to our journey here. Now, before I address you all individually, I must first speak to you as a whole. For various reasons, whatever they may be... We have gathered here. Be it to one day hold a precious copy of Steins;Gate for oneself- To partake in the joy of overcoming seemingly insurmountable hardships- To meet with new or old friends and witness their wondrous creations- ... Or perhaps just to write stories, We, have gathered here. But, in the place where we have... Admired one another... Rivaled one another... Supported one another... This place... This place where we've... Laughed, together... Learned, together... Both succeeded, and failed... Together... ... We must bid farewell. No matter the few words shared between each other individually, we all have shared this journey as a whole, and we must share its departure here, and now. For this I, Bizkitdoh, thank you all. This contest was so much fun, and while I did finally sign up because of this contest, I do plan to come by here from time to time and share the visual novel love. Thank you all so much for any and all support, even though I still believe most entries to be far beyond my own in terms of real talent. I am truly baffled. Baffled, that I made it this far and did as well as I did. The post for the previous challenge does have some truth in it. I wish every single one of you the best of luck. Of course I'd love to win after all this, I mean I did put a ton of time into it- But we all did. There are no losers here posting today. There are no greater partners in battle. I look forward to seeing you all here and elsewhere for many days to come~ Fuwanoob and fellow die-hard competitor, Bizkitdoh. <3 I can't beat Freddie, but... To play off one of my entries a little bit. . . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKtRrNiBifo
  4. I've never been one to accept a challenge. All my life I've never won any competitions, any raffles, events- You name it, and I've not done well in it. So... "Why now? Why try? To never be met with any success... And yet, you try this contest? Seven weeks of pure punishment along with this many people?" "You must have a death wish." . . . Perhaps I do, but, allow me to explain. I'm a loser, but I'm not a quitter. Maybe I've never won a single thing, but to lose a lot, I've had to have tried a lot too! Act One: Humble Beginnings Here I am. I've joined the Fuwanovel forums and the fight for Steins;Gate. https://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/2139-steinsgate-limited-edition-giveaway/?p=36071 The first week serves it's purpose as my make my Fuwanovel account and post to enter, be placed upon the scoreboard, and meet those who I will be conversing with many days after the conclusion of this contest, I'm certain. I feel welcomed and enjoy the fun banter between other newer members and the veterans. A simple challenge, yes, but there are more to come... This is only the beginning. I've got to be ready for anything! Act Two: Who Could Have Been? Week two. I wasn't ready. My alarm goes off in the morning, paired with the first reminder I'd need of the continuation of our path. I'd soon find it to be unnecessary as challenges passed by and the contest pushed it ways to the forefront of my mind. A single post changed everything... A single piece of artwork. https://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/2139-steinsgate-limited-edition-giveaway/?p=37189 A picture can speak a thousand words. We must draw. I now know just how much I'm going to put into this contest if I have any hopes of doing well. With this in mind, I act. I gather multiple papers and numerous pencils with which to place my heart and soul into two dimensional shape. Countless hours pass. Time loses shape as my work takes it's place. https://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/2139-steinsgate-limited-edition-giveaway/?p=37385 At last, it's finished and posted. Now- They like it. They like it? They like it?!! My amazement in my own work and those who appreciate it is indescribable. I'm blessed to receive the first set of bonus points and prepare for whatever comes next as the sole resident of the top of the list. Act 3: A Storm Approaches A week of challenges. One a day. They fall like raindrops upon my head, running down my face and into my eyes... Polluted water, burning and obscuring my vision. When will it end? I know. I know when, where, but... I can no longer see it. The road ahead is long. I know this now. Day one begins and we're told to choose an animation studio to tell the tale of our lives. I decided upon being somewhat silly with my choice, but I ended the entry on a serious note and stay as honest as other posts. I'm happy with my entry and get ready for the next day as best I can. https://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/2139-steinsgate-limited-edition-giveaway/?p=39019 Day two brings a new art form once more. Poetry- Another thing I have little to no experience with. After being blown away from what I read in the morning, I use the left over energy and motivation from my hard made drawing and work a full day yet again to make the best poem I can. Being locked as far as setting is concerned, I still retain the freedom to place my own themes and other characters of my own creation into my work. With this, I write my strongest, post, and ready myself once more. https://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/2139-steinsgate-limited-edition-giveaway/?p=39529 Day three comes with a new twist on the writing of a scenario. I take a unique approach once more and write something seemingly dark and end it off with pure humor. To add more to my entry I crudely place my stupid face upon multiple images with the fictional character of my choosing. The power of laughter, guide me! https://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/2139-steinsgate-limited-edition-giveaway/?p=39663 Day four is to write a meeting of our dream fictional character. I'm unable to ignore my wishes of seeing more of the lovely Christina! I mean, we are shooting for Steins;Gate... https://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/2139-steinsgate-limited-edition-giveaway/?p=39915 Day five. Bats is trying to ruin everyone with point deductions... This is getting dangerous. I take the easy way out and avoid his tricks entirely by posting no letters, no words, no images of words- Just images. Bring on the next challenge, Bats... Bring it on. I got your game figured out!! https://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/2139-steinsgate-limited-edition-giveaway/?p=40088 Day six. Post anything. Uhm... Jeez Batman, I said bring it... https://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/2139-steinsgate-limited-edition-giveaway/?p=40246 Day seven. The skies are clearing finally and we must write once more... Just... Write... Writing... It really takes it out of you, you know? I get a little lazy, but I do the challenge and take the day to rest for the most part. https://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/2139-steinsgate-limited-edition-giveaway/?p=40701 I'm falling apart. . . Act Four: Music?!?! Hey, it isn't stories for once, but this is embarrassing. I make a really garbage album with a ridiculous theme. The other posts are far better than my own, for sure. Oh, and I sang... I don't want to talk about it. https://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/2139-steinsgate-limited-edition-giveaway/?p=40955 Act Five: Halloween Nightmare. Near death. I can't write anymore. I can't. But I write. I write damn well too. On a freaking phone on one bar, too. The fan fiction is about characters we choose, and I for one don't want to ruin perfectly written characters by their writers. So what do I do? VOICELESS CHARACTERS. Less writing for me. Gotcha, Batman. Mwuahahahaha!! https://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/2139-steinsgate-limited-edition-giveaway/?p=42370 I'm coming undone. Act Six: Sold. We're demande-... Asked to write a sales pitch filled with complete bullshit. So I bullshitted. With writing. Words. Wording... Grammar... Lettterdnajpeiup https://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/2139-steinsgate-limited-edition-giveaway/?p=43615 Act Seven: Doom. Death. Sadness. Another week of writing, simple challenges, and writing. The home stretch. I'm ready to wrap this up. I find the energy I've got left deep down inside and start knocking 'em one by one, day by day, with no chance of ever knowing how hard or not hard to work or how well we're doing or bad we're doing because we can't see the points anymore, and we can also lose points and not know how we can or will or did lose them. I'll let that sink in. We're asked to pick our favorite challenge and I choose the drawing I made and explain the choice. We write a story... Write... Story... We're given specific rules to follow and that we may lose points. I take the gamble and write something weird. https://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/2139-steinsgate-limited-edition-giveaway/?p=45077 Batman thinks he's sneaky and does some hidden text thingy so we have to PM him for points. That was actually pretty cool. We also answered questions about the contest. I gave some solid answers. https://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/2139-steinsgate-limited-edition-giveaway/?p=45435 Then we're told to do the favorite challenge we chose day one again. I chose the one I chose because it was really hard. FML. But I do it. https://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/2139-steinsgate-limited-edition-giveaway/?p=45703 Then, we're asked to write a story in regards to this contest. So I start... "I've never been one to accept a challenge. All my life I've never won any competitions, any raffles, events- You name it, and I've not done well in it. So... "Why now? Why try? To never be met with any success... And yet, you try /this/ contest? Seven weeks of pure punishment along with this many people?" "You must have a death wish." . . . Perhaps I do, but, allow me to explain. I'm a loser, but I'm not a quitter. Maybe I've never won a single thing, but to lose a lot, I've had to have tried a lot too! Act One: Humble Beginnings Here I am. I've joined the Fuwanovel forums and the fight for Steins;Gate. The first week serves it's purpose as my make my Fuwanovel account and post to enter, be placed upon the scoreboard, and meet those who I will be conve-" You get the idea. And, well, here we are. This story isn't finished. What the future brings... We'll never know here. It cannot be written here. Will Bizkitdoh survive?!? Stay tuned for more at https://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/2139-steinsgate-limited-edition-giveaway/ !
  5. I must apologize for this one not being anywhere near as good as the first (to me). Had less time and spent less time working on it. :x Slightly different approach (also more simple lol) Scenario: Inevitably deemed a pervert by Hachikuji- Batman, unable to just leave her alone, proceeds to be her protector in a less detectable but far creepier fashion.
  6. 1) Why did you enter this contest: I entered after having followed you on Twitter beforehand and seeing a buddy mention the awesomeness of the contest later on (Don't know why he hadn't entered.). I had assumed it would be a raffle or something and didn't aim to try, but when I read up on how it was going to be run, I actually got pretty excited. Regardless of the outcome, I wanted in on the fun. I never get the chance to be a part of any kind of cool content creation thing, contest or not, so I signed up. 2) Would you have put in as much effort if it was only a digital prize: I might not have. It depended on the prize, yeah. For example- This site has a lot of VNs on it, of course, Steins;Gate included, which I have read, but with how much I loved the VN, actually having it physically would be absolutely incredible to me. If it had been for a digital Steins;Gate, I may have not been as motivated, but if it was a digital copy of something that isn't available to me, then yes, absolutely I'd be motivated. That was of course then and not now though, having participated in the contest that view has changed some, which I'll get into in the next question. 3) In the future, would you want to see more long term contests, or short term? Digital prizes, or physical?: This is kind of hard to answer, but I'd think slightly shorter term, but with about as many challenges. Like maybe 2 a week for half the length or something. I like some stress and I like tight time windows and working under pressure or against the clock. As far as prizes go- Whatever you want. The contest was so fun to me that I'd do it for anything, really. The challenges and the friendly competition is so fun, and everyone gets to put up awesome stuff. I will say that getting people motivated to sign up and do it, physical stuff is more appealing, but for previous contestants, I don't think it'd be hard to get us to enter and try and win. In the end- I'd say do what's most comfortable for you. Above all.
  7. Alone in a world with no hope of finding another. Barren plains of nothingness as far as the eye can see. Clinging to that hopelessness, I push forward with the dream of defeating it. Dedication towards crushing this forced lonesomeness keeps me moving. Each and every muscle aches with another step, but the sharp pain merely strengthens my resolve. Feeling my body shriek, knowing it's pressed beyond it's limitations, I walk on. Grieving over my dire situation is pointless, honestly. Holding on to any weaknesses will only end this life sooner. I can't recall what exactly happened to send me here or leave me as a sole survivor in this place. Just, waking up alone took it's toll on me that first day, being that the shock was the hardest part to handle. Keeping myself moving seems to be the best medication, and it's the best way to ensure survival, what with having to gather supplies and all. Life on the road is all I have now, and it wouldn't seem so bad to the normal person, but when you don't have working vehicles, walks between these towns are much farther than you'd think. Musing on my mental health and situation aside, I've arrived at yet another small village. "Not a soul in sight," I think to myself, as I repeat this scenario I've been through countless times. Observing the village, I spot what appears to be an Inn of some sort. Peeking inside the hotel in this town is probably a good idea, seeing as they've been good spots for various supplies ranging from non-perishables to clothes, as you would expect to find in a place where people travel to and from. Quickly making my way to the back of the building I find a rusty old door that gives me some trouble, but I'm strong enough and I make it inside with some effort. Roaming in with ease, I head to the left behind the counter into what seems to be the kitchen and start carefully searching through pantries looking for bags of anything I can manage to carry, really, seeing as I'm not too muscular. Seeing as this is an Inn, I start checking each door on the left down this hall in hopes that some may be unlocked, but am met with little success. The bag I have seems to be reaching its limit, so I decide it'll be enough and head to the back and find this rusted old fire door that would probably have been impossible for me to open from inside. Up at the front desk I find a few keys hung up on the opposite side of the lobby towards to kitchen and let out a sigh a relief and decide I'll most likely rest here for the night. Vagrant as I am, this place doesn't feel all too comfortable, honestly, especially with that nasty door being open permanently for someone like me, so it's probably best I search for a more secure building to spend the night in. Walking into the kitchen, I find it surprisingly enough to be mostly empty... Xenia is a practice not followed in this land as of now, at least for me, so I'd think that wiping places clean of supplies for ones self is reasonable, at least, I hope that's the case... Your own needs is all you really think about when you're left believing you may be the only person left in the world, so the idea of there being another person out there is both a blessing and a curse when you think too much of limited supplies in an area and not knowing of each others existence, paired with how much better existence would be with another if you did know of them. Zeroing back on reality, I move to look for a place to rest and pray to soon share this life I'm lucky to still hold on to day to day with another, I mean, there has to be someone out there, right?
  8. I'd have to say my favorite challenge would have to be week two. The drawings. That challenge really pushed my mental barriers, which is something I absolutely love, being into psychology and what-not. Going into it I'd felt so defeated having seen Ragnar's entry, but, I went in with a ton of hours, papers and pencils and came out with something that I can say surprised me more than anyone else. I could say something similar about the other challenge weeks, but that week took extra effort with having to think out a scenario and create it without words. I felt more comfortable with other challenges, being that I've written much more than I've ever even dreamed of drawing.
  9. Not sure how good or bad that is for me. Probably bad. But okay lol

  11. A loud night. An oddly boisterous night. But, no, it is not odd. A... Halloween night. And yet... Somehow quiet. A plain home sits in it's usual place, yet it seems to be moving. Lights. Sounds. People... So many things that make such an ordinary living space seemingly unordinary. Yet, at this time, it's unusual to remain as usual. Halloween night is here. 5 individuals walk along the plain concrete pathway made a mess by neatly organized and patterned cobwebs making for an unnatural and somewhat humorous sight. Caution tape seals the walkers into a tight hallway (and cleverly off the neat lawn) all the way up to the door of the home in it's cheap yet acceptable costume of it's own. A knock on the door and a ring of the bell is heard inside, but entirely drowned out outdoors as another track of poorly recorded 'scary atmosphere' plays from a concealed speaker. Graveyards make sounds, right? But... Something is missing. A certain noise among the chaos that's repeated so often you'd most likely stop hearing it anyhow. I wonder why that is? The door opens and the homeowner greets our crowd one by one as they drop a handful of assorted simple candies into each and every bag so systematically, even they don't notice the silence. Why so quiet?! The first guest. A small person with a moustache so ludicrous is must be a fake. So round too, kid must have something tucked into the belly of those silly overalls. He somehow managed to hold up his bag with those mitten like hands and got his candy, proceeding to hop off down the walkway. Our second guest then approaches the door, also silent. All the man at the door sees is... Green? Green. A young boy... Yet... The eyes of someone much wiser. A boy- no. A man, who has seen many things. Many perils... But what? He takes his candy and turn away. (A... Sword?) Is that- no. It must be fake. The third guest... What is... Another child. A boy? A girl? The man can't see... Cannot tell... A ghost perhaps? But it's so short and long. Like a dog almost. A bag rests upon it's head. He drops the candy and it walks away... Or did it... (Hover?!) Ah. It's too dark, must be his eyes playing tricks. That's silly, no legs. Ha! Next guest! A fourth visitor approaches. What now... Is that a... Monkey? Wait... Why is a monkey strange. Haha.. Ha.. None of this is strange, goodness. A kid in a monkey suit. The man hands the kid his candy... Man... He's a strong looking kid. He's huge- aw it's just the suit. Last one! Number five... Wait... Where... There were five bu- It's a fairy. A real fairy! Almost. Elf like? Green. Tiny. Tiny! How is she so small?! She's FLYING! Our house owner seems shocked. He should be. Tinkerbell is real, after all. Halloween is a great time for these 'fictional' characters to get some sweets and hang out! Shame none of them can really speak, or speak much at all... I mean, come on. Not a single one said trick or treat! Mario. Link. Zero. (Nightmare Before Christmas) Donkey Kong. Tinkerbell! Happy Halloween! (I had to write all of this on my phone :'( )
  12. Bizkit- "I really want to win a copy of Steins;Gate" -Doh. Bringing you his debut album: Hopes for No Tropes 1. Let's Watch Anime. - The worst feeling. Wanting to get someone into anime and watch it with you, but you end up watching all alone with nobody to talk about it with. A sad song, a cry for help! ;-; 2. Clad in Plot Armor. - Story is really good and just plain epic, then the 'protag' dies and it's epic... And is magically revived... Or the villains all magically don't know how to properly use weaponry. This is a song of frustration with bad writing. 3. Beach Episode. - A peaceful break from any plot. Even in the most serious of stories. A relaxing song. 4. Moe Mondays. - A poppy turn off the relaxing song before it. Admiration of and a dedication to the cutest of the cute. 5. The Back Left Window Seat. - Throne of any MC. The message? Everyone has their place. A role. For heroes and harem kings? The back left desk. 6. The VN Was Better. - A melancholic tune. That feeling of getting to enjoy what you love in a different way, but not without feeling slightly disappointed by it being at all lackluster, if it is. Nobody is at fault, either. 7. Rotoscope? Rotonope. - A somewhat biased song. Punky. Defiant. Non-acceptance of a lazy and uninteresting art choice. 8. Backlog Blues. - Stress. The weight of a hundred shows you've put off and knowing you have no choice but to hold multiple marathons. 9. Natural Born Pilot. - The idea of a training sequence of an actual military member in some mecha is insane. Some kid happened across a robot through some random means and it just so turns out they're a beast. Don't ask questions. 10. Find Out on the Next Episode. - Just when it's getting good, you've got to wait a week. In this case- You loved this album so much, but it's over. Hear more on the next album~ 21. (Bonus Track) Lolipalooza. - This track had to be hidden. Found if you wait 21 minutes after having the album play on repeat 21 times without stopping. Guest singers: Every Loli ever. It's seriously too cute to be legal. So here's the cover stuff and the lyrics to my song. The song is stuck in Youtube processing hell, so it'll be up eventually. 13. Insert Batman into your favorite story. What changes? How much does he affect the ending? Are you the worst fanfic writer ever? Can you tell I'm running out of ideas? My favorite story... So for this one, I'm going to roll with the Moonlight Bay series by Dean Koontz. (Fear Nothing, Seize the Night, the still not written Ride the Storm) If Batman managed to wander into this series, I think the power of cold hard cash and tech would change it quite a bit. First of all, Christopher Snow has Xeroderma Pigmentosum, basically dude can't go into the light. I'm positive his buddy Batman would whip up some super baller suit to protect Chris' sensitive skin, letting travel during daylight be possible, thus progressing the story much faster. If that alone doesn't end the story in one novel, as opposed to three, then the fact that he's freaking batman and would simply pursue the mystery of the town without any worries, coming to the conclusion that the evil monkeys are chilling out by the military base and going straight in without any doubts and fighting any that get in his way, will. Those events passing by that much quicker, the third novel wouldn't even need to be written and Batman would actually let the ending happen. That's a pretty big change. The tense situations Chris gets into, putting his life in danger, having to sneak around everywhere... Yeah, Batman doesn't need any of that, he'd turn it into a pure action story and answer every question so fast, the Scooby Doo crew would just stick to their day jobs waiting for Batman to visit their universe. TL;DR ~ What changes? - Pretty much the entire mood of the story. How much does he affect the ending? - The ending actually happens. Are you the worst fanfic writer ever? - Perhaps. Can you tell I'm running out of ideas? - See previous answer.
