Umineko Episode 8 was hated by the Japanese fanbase.
I'm sure that ended up being a factor in it not being on even a list that includes All Ages stuff.
And Higurashi just generally seemed much more popular there where it's the opposite in the VN scene here.
I with the Japanese for this one as I'm too have not good impression with Umineko especially for CH 8 while Higurashi maybe one of the best VN of all time.
What make Higurashi better than Umineko because the writer bother to write explicit conclusion rather than "ha, I am more clever than my reader so try to guess what the ending is" B horror movie style IMO.

For additional note, Little Busters Steam edition did have all of Ecstasy contents except the sex scenes (Who want KEY sex scenes anyway?), Aselia didn't have sex scenes because the team did translated the best version that was available back then, ChuSingura was censored and no restoration patch unlike Konosora, the translator decided to translate Baldr Force PS2 port version in which it didn't contain the sex scenes because it's back port from the console, and Harukaze decided to released console version of Noraneko 2 which amounted to overseas censored release because console version didn't contain the sex scenes.
Thanks for compiling this, really helping. I hope there are some localization company who have an adequate resources (money, labor and time) dare to translated the remaining one. It's so sad that only Moege and to the some extent Chuuni genre receive more localization company attention these day.

Photonmelodies apparently also includes these:
"Adoration"; a prequel to the story Duty ~Lost Arcadia~ which depicts Europe during the events of Alternative.
"Resurrection", a story about a European spy who is also featured in Total Eclipse
If I've understood correctly, they aren't a part of Altered Fable.AFAIK that two listed as AC 2-3's side stories. So Unlimited The Day After + Photonmelodies = AC1-4 + Altered Fable (minus Ero + some bonus mini games). I suspect ero content will also be omitted for Unlimited The Day After because that's the only explanation I could think off as why they need to make a separate version as the more complete already exist.

This confuses me a little. Photonmelodies, which is what was announced to be released, contains the Altered Fable content. Photonflowers, which does not contain said content, was already released some time ago.
Your statement seems like it says you bought Photonmelodies and will not buy Photonflowers, when this isn't possible because the former has yet to be released and the latter is already available.Has there perhaps been some mix up?
Pardon for the confusion, yes what I mean is I bought Photonflowers and will pass on Photonmelodies as I prefer to read Altered Fable standalone directly because AFAIK in Photonmelodies there are some missing Altered Fable content

For Silverio and others if they want to try, I think Kickstarter still the best way + maybe collaborate with JAST for marketing and distributing? (as Venus Blood Style release still the fastest and best one IMO)
-
Definitely will grab VB:H if the translation is good and added The Day After, Jeanne and Hoshizora fan disk to watch list.
Will pass everything else as Moe/Otome/BL genre generally is not for me.
Bought all the Trilogy + Melodies Steam version day one and will pass Photonflowers as the Altered Fable content will not be in it.

Due to cultural differences between east and west, VN will never be popular in the west!!!
IMHO better be to learn Japanese language than waiting the english version.

I don't like the art style, sorry.
In my opinion: art style influence 50% experience from reading a VN. So no.

I will, after finished Starless.
I hope Yukari will get more plot dan side story on this. Too little on the 1st I think.
-
G Senjou No Maou - repick the import version (dropped in order wait for official localized version just to find it's disappointment)
Starless - On the way to the third ending
Kara No Shoujo 2 - After Starless done (all ending)

Snip
Look interesting from the screenshot, will try later. I also now begin to manage a visual novel project in Indonesia although didn't join the VNproject fans Group.

If the only reason you want to buy it is to support the industry, then no, that's not a good idea. You should buy things you want. If you don't and buy things for other reasons, it sends the wrong message.
Hmmm... This is a hard one. I can imagine if SP did not exist, most of these titles would never be sold in the Western market. A decent version is better than nothing? Though since they're already doing it they might as well do it well.
Did we even determine if it's SP fault, I thought Akabeisoft2 was the one who decides if it's cropped or not?
So did you literally say we must support anything translated even if the game is broken to the level like my heart have wings because if we don't and it's flopped then no more translated games from the developer?
Are you serious?
-
I will not be supporting G-Senjou no Maou unless they fix the cropping, release a drm-free version, and release an 18+ version. The way that this was priced is really bad as most people do not see a 40 dollar game being 30 dollars cheaper without voices but instead they see voice dlc for more money than the actual game. It was a horrible decision to release the game like this if for no reason other than the negative publicity is going to really hurt the game's chances. A lot of bad decisions were made and the censorship of the steam forums regardless of whether you think sekai project was right or wrong for doing it will still affect the general perception of how people see sekai project and for most people this will not be a good perception and sales will really hurt. Hopefully they fix things for the denpasoft release...if it even gets one,
+1 to this. I will support it if the developer fix this cropped censored game.
Until that happen I will think about learn moon runes so I can import and get the content as the original creators intended.
No more games from Sekai Project as long as they cannot control the developer action about censorship and cropping in the translated official version.

Since this is related, I leave this here:
Winged Cloud about sakura games:
"We will just release them without sekai. From my personal feeling most of the people at sekai just disagree with our ecchi / hentai games. We where just feeling very awkward working with a company where a lot of people straight out dislike our games. Its really regrettable but they prefere more "serious" storys and many of them just dont like our games."

2014 ~ Steins;Gate : after I finished the true end my mind was blown .. Since that I already fall in love with visual novel genre haha.
-
I cannot read japanesse but maybe this http://www.famitsu.com/news/201510/02090045.html
-
Fate/Extra , G-Senjou no Maou, Starless, Sengoku Rance (on hold because too hard for me ^^).
-
Same with the others (mostly), I like the one with H-scenes as long as the stories is interesting.
-
I choose seeing all ending cause I like butterfly effect theory so I'm very curious about the consequence from all the choice.
-
You are kidding me right? 11k dollars each month. Well played Winged Cloud. They are probably floating forever now. Sales are just a bonus. I don't know how many employees Winged Cloud got but I doubt they are that many.
That's exactly my point. Based on their patreon page, there is no hope for winged cloud to change their business model.
-
Coincidentally, the graph comparing the time and the amount of Sakura games coming out is similar to the amount of sales the Sakura titles have veen making.
Sakura Spirit: 200,000 owners
Sakura Angels: 55,000 owners
Sakura Fantasy: 17,009 owners
Sakura Swim Club: 15,000 owners
Sakura Beach: 6,000 owners
There is some hope.
Nope. No hope left, as long as their patreon still active https://www.patreon....ingedcloud?ty=h
