  1. G1 is the dude who's defending the go-home club. G2 is the たまたまだろ guy. So, G1 says all of that stuff about the girl who's in the wind instrument club vs. the hot grills. In response, G2 says たまたまだろ. Then G1 goes: 違う!(and then proceeds to say the phrase we're discussing). So, he's saying "部活では、養えないことがある(と言っているよ!)"?
  2. Hello, I was wondering if somebody could help me with some colloquial speech I can't understand. So, the two guys are talking and one has espoused the idea that girls who don't do club activities are more likely to get laid. (saying stuff like "セックスしたくない女がいないよ!でも、残念ながら(girl who is in the music club)にはチャンスがない。それに比べて(hot non-club girl 1&2)?それは帰宅部の高さよ" The other dude responded with たまたまだろ (like, it's just a coincidence, right?). So here's what I don't get: what does "部活じゃあ養えないなにかがあんだって!" mean? I have a vague idea but the 養う here is really tripping me. Edit: Well, the guy is really defending the concept that if you're in the go-home club you have a better social life. As for his final sentence, I was thinking it was something along the lines of "if you don't have a club, there's a desire/itch/whatever (you must relieve)" but that sounds weird at best. Thanks!
  3. Oh, well I'm an imbecile. I see, that cleared up things a lot, thank you both.
  4. Ahh, okay, didn't spring to my mind to check a japanese dictionary/reference site. What about かぎる? Does he say that western porn 'hits the limit' or is at the limit as in there isn't anything better? @Parallel Pain, in the dialogue it says the old man loves American porn (peeps call him メリケン something-something..). It said in the dialogue the 'gravures' were American, so it's all-western porn.
  5. What does 洋モン mean? There's this old geezer and the protagonist buys him an H book from the nearby town, and the geezer says, 「やっぱり、エロ本は洋モンに限るのぉ」
  6. It's extremely time consuming and exhausting, but once a foundation has been set, you can understand things with relative ease (albeit still a large effort). It's even faster if you don't care about actually learning anything new (vocab, Kanji, etc*) but just want to follow the plot of the game. *I suppose an exception should be made for grammar, because everything else can be looked up on the spot, but if you don't know the grammar that is the crux of the sentence..
  7. Thank you all for your kind words! :3 @Kiriririri There is a 'Save Load Option' in the Basic Options tab, but there are, like, two buttons:
  8. Greetings, ladies and gentlemen! I'm me and I like frequenting the site and forums, although more so in lurk mode. Visual novels are pretty nice, too bad I only associate them with sex (夢見る薬 was the first vn I played and it sure as hell didn't tell me there could be something more than under-the-table-at-the-restaurant footjob). I'm studying Japanese, and I can't wait for the day when I'll be able to read a book or vn relatively easily. Also, I have an eternal boner for older women, so if anybody knows any good older woman-younger man vns, feel free to throw them at me. Have fun, everyone. : > PS: I know this is stupid, but so am I, but does anybody know how to save in Walkure Romanze? I just started playing (stll fumbling through the kanji in the dialogue with Mio) and I can't see the option want you guys to prove your mettle.
  9. Aha, I see, that makes sense. Thank you, Nosebleed!
  10. Hi there! As the title goes, I was wondering if Empress' Cleavage has a decensor patch? I've googled this and found nothing but I'm asking nonetheless because the art (which stands out incredibly- Bible Black, Discipline, Nymphomaniac's Paradise) appears in other games and those have such patches (NP, I think). Now that I think about it, this doesn't make any sense.. in anycase, if anyone knows anything, please enlighten me.
  11. Hi, Sakamoto! Thanks for your reply, I'll make sure to introduce myself a bit later on. Yes, you were correct, the game program was extracting the text but had it labeled 'ignore'. After following your guide I was able to get it working. Thank you very much for your assistance, much appreciated!
  12. Hello, there, first post! Well, the thing I'm struggling with is that VNR doesn't display the text box with the game text. Thus I can't easily look up Kanji, vocab, etc. It works fine with other games, though. I run a game, have the text box, then close said game and run (from the dashboard thingy) Tokoya no Oba-chan but, alas, no bueno. I imagine it's a problem to do with 'hooking' (if that's the lingo) the text? However, I have not a clue as to what to do. Any suggestions are welcome (and sorry if I've missed any relevant information; feel free to ask)!
