Already fed up with all of those balloons? No worry, Clochette got you cover this time!

Koko kara Natsu no Innocence! is the lastest title from the famous balloon maker Clochette. This time, Oshiki Hitoshi - the exclusive artist of Clochette (lol) will not take charge of the art, but instead it will be Sesena Yau (1/2 Summer, Timepiece Ensemble, Diamic Days). The scenario will be written by Hozumi Kei (Mashiro iro Symphony, Witch's Garden, Clover Day's, AstralAir no Shiroki Towa, Sanoba Witch) so we can expect some good story rather than "plot" support like every other of Clochette's games....or so I wanted to say. It's Clochette we are talking about here after all, and he also wrote the story for Sakigake Generation, so...chances are they will still be focusing on H and stuffs...

Anyway, I guess this will be the first time ever I have a little interest in Clochette's game. Will it be a big surprise to everyone, or will it be just another failure traditional Clochette's fap game?

lol... most of Clochette's games actually do have a story beneath the funbag-fanservice.  Believe me, as charage/moege go, Clochette is a model of scenario design...

Edit: Well, Suzunone Seven, Kamikaze Explorer, Prism Recollection, and Sakigake Generation have good plots under the surface, anyway.  They just happen to be extremely ecchi and focused on funbags as well.

Personal opinion, but I just find those games (exclude Suzunone, haven't tried) boring as hell. And I don't think many people really came to Clochette for the story.

lol... I basically play every fantasy VN that comes out.  I was impressed with the way Kamikaze did the battle scenes (excellent narration), and the setting created in Suzunone Seven was really fascinating, combined with a protagonist who was actually capable.

One of the biggest problems with charage/moege stories is that it is generally hard to give a crap about the protagonist's struggles, because they tend to be non-people.  Since - no matter how you work it - at least half the story is the protagonist's struggles, a weak protagonist usually means the story is a failure as a story.

The VNs I mentioned above - at least Suzunone and Kamikaze, anyway - had strong protagonists, that the writer did a good job of bringing to life.  As such, the drama in the heroine paths (though the imouto path in in Kamikaze was kind of meh, because I didn't like her) tended to be very high quality for moege/charage.  They aren't on the level of Irotoridori or Hoshimemo... but then, they aren't trying to be.
