Since you seem to not know, it's best to buy one of Sakura VNs and play it for yourself! Just in 1-2 days they will release their Magnum Opus - Sakura Space!

Why would I ever play something like this? It shouldn't even exist in my opinion, when we could have actual good vns come out. Especially since Sekai is being so slow with the translation/localization of Grisaia, I feel like they're wasting their time with things like this. Though I don't actually know how things work over there. Just my opinion.

  2. Hey! This talk is reminding me of the 7th of Clephas' thread on the Rules of Forums! ...This is only marginally related to Grisaia anyway. Rather than getting into an argument because we appear to be on different sides of this issue, can you please possibly make a separate topic that I can safely ignore? Thanks.

On a Grisaia-related note, I'm super excited it got funded~ Looking forward to receiving the games... when they finish translating/editing them... which will probably take a while...

Yes, it will take a while.

  3. I'm not sure if a topic like this has been made before, if so please link me.

Anyway, here's the thing: There's many vns that are said to be pretty good, like MuvLuv and Clannad. I'd really like to read those, but there's a big problem stopping me and you probably already know what it is. The art style.

In every single vn that I've ever played excluding KS, I had to get used to the artstyle.

To me, the artstyles of these two vns and many others is very revolting (especially Clannad, it literally fucking terrifies me.) And I can't see myself being able to get used to them.

I'm not actually planning to play Clannad, so MuvLuv is the problem here. I'm sure somebody else encountered this problem before, so my question is how you got over that. Got used to it, ignored it, etc.?

  4. Well shit. I'm skipping through it while following the guide right now, hopefully I can finish it today or someone finds a way to help me out somehow.

There are no routes and the walkthrough is pointless.

Play any way you want, you will get 100% at the end.

If you're at the end and still don't have 100%, refer to the scene lookup guide on the FAQ at http://forums.nrvnqsr.com/showthread.php/5046-Fate-Hollow-Ataraxia-Translation-Patches for where the remainder are.

The issue here isn't 100%, it's that I can't progress. Read threads properly next time. Or was I being too vague in the OP?
  5. This game is real fuckin' confusing. Not sure if the right section to post this but anyway, according to a walkthrough, the (!)'s left are in the Outskirts, salon, and church(Last time). Thing is, none of these are appearing. I'm going around doing random shit but I'm not sure that would help.

I want to finish this game today and I've got about five hours left, so any help would be appreciated.

  6. I am definitely not that type of VN player as I never play VNs for the girls, only for the protagonist or story with the exception of KS. The reason being that I never find the heroines as interesting as the protagonist(with the exception of the main heroine is G-Senjou), take for example both Grisaia and Sharin. It seems that the only way they try to make the heroines interesting is by using a traumatic past or something similar. That never appeals to me though, as I simply don't give a shit about the heroines if they don't have an interesting character, but I found the MCs of both of these VNs very interesting. Another reason being I can't get attached to drawings(no offense, Okami.) That's why I look for interesting MCs or plot in VNs.

  7. Dude, people have spammed recommendations more often than you have, yet they will never get punished for asking questions, because that would just be stupid.  You should never feel bad about asking questions.  VNs are kind of a big commitment time-wise and bandwidth-wise, so it's perfectly normal to ask for ones similar to those you've already enjoyed.  Ask away ^_^

Hmmm...in terms of story, I'd recommend Grisaia no Kajitsu, Fate/stay night, and Sharin no Kuni.  Kajitsu is a good mix of seriousness (seriously, Amane's route hits like a truck) and comedy gold, Sharin focuses heavily on comedy in the beginning before switching to serious events, and F/sn is F/sn (unintentionally hilarious h-scenes).  It's quite the lore-rich story; I spent about 30-45 minutes reading every bit of lore that was conveniently located in the menu once I unlocked the entries.  Also, if you want a badass protag, you'll enjoy F/sn's Unlimited Blade Works route.  Shirou is arguably the most badass in UBW.  All of the protags are badass characters, while the VNs themselves are extremely high-quality.  I'd have to say that out of the bunch, Kajitsu is my favorite, F/sn is a close second, and Sharin is a close third.  They're all excellent.

I'd also recommend Comyu, but...if you don't like chuuni, that might be a problem.  So far, the story isn't amazing or anything, but it's quite good, and I've gotten used to the chuuni elements.  The last route is supposed to make up for pretty much every fault Comyu has, so...yeah.  People also tend to dislike the protag, Akihito, but from what I've heard that's intended.

If you checked my VNDB page you would've known I've read all of those, except comyu. But I hate chuuni so nope.

  8. I know it hasn't been too long before my last thread, but it's not like I annoy you or anything, right?

In said thread, I asked people to recommend me a VN with a badass MC, and some people told me to read G-Senjou no Maou, and I did.

Although it wasn't exactly what I was looking for, I sure enjoyed that. So here I am, asking you for a VN with a story as good as that. I know that might be a difficult request as well, but please do your best. Thanks~

  9. Can anyone explain to me what the fuck happened in the Yumiko episode? I skipped through it then decided to drop the anime because I had no idea what the hell was going on and it was generally very bad. I only watched  to see how they will portray the fight scenes from the VN, but it was so shitty it didn't even count as a fight scene in the anime.
