  1. The merits of owning a website independent from a company that bows to anyone who can throw out a DMCA
  2. In lesser people terms that I can understand and process, you gain fans who wouldn't have purchased the product initially, and you keep fans who ardently purchase the product. If there is a game I want on android with an official English release, hell yeah I'd buy it. But George McPoor Student might not spend that 99 cents without being absolutely sure of it's quality' Then after playing through the first game, George comes to have an epiphany... "This game is worth my money!" And so Fuwanovel builds franchises up B)/> Also once again Aaeru, I praise you for this xD My phone and tablet shall live once again...!
  3. It looks like we have about 2000 individual visitors daily... let's quadruple that B)/> Also, nice browser choice! *High Five*
  4. I'm almost done sending messages out to everyone about the new link to visual novel aer/begging for link exchange or link posts I've learned that if I ever create a blog, I'm going to make it easy as hell to contact me on D: P.S., I don't know if I'll send them all today, I have some stuff to do soon. I'm about 70% done though, so I figure I can just do the rest tomorrow.
  5. By the way, a little bit late for it, but welcome to Fuwanovel tako B)/> Glad to have you on the forums!
  6. The way I understand it, they are all together in the way that they all work simultaneously, they're just packaged separately. I'm guessing the reason they did this was because of putlocker upload limits or something'
  7. I have a second hand galaxy tab (The Sprint version, which means there are no working ROMs for it... NONE. :(/>) It's pretty good, and the guy who had it before ever so kindly installed android 3.0 on it (Somehow, most likely through magic) I also have a Blackberry Playbook that I nabbed for 50 bucks from a very sad Blackberry Playbook owner... That's the one I used splashtop on. It actually works pretty well, just crackling in audio annoys me some'
  8. Alright, on it. I'll get in contact with them all somehow, from the top of the list to the bottom. I'll post on here again saying something like, "Honey, I'm home!" or "I'm done sending all the messages out to the blogs" So look forward to that. While you're translating, hopefully xD
  9. You'll never be as dirty as me! O:< See? I told you! Also, my shape shifting powers that I so proudly announced in my introduction post have finally come to good use... Hey... Wait a second... P.S. I sincerely apologize to all people who have had to have any serious medical remedies applied to their eyes from looking at the man from 'Dirty Jobs'. As a reminder that I'm only here to post the HIGHEST QUALITY PICTURES available, take a look at this kitten. Now you are cured.
  10. Yeah, that's it. They go up to EP 4, then after that it peters off. Ep 5-8 haven't had any patches released for them yet. http://uminekofix.wikia.com/wiki/English_Question_Arcs I think the Critical patch only does character art, (Though I could be wrong, you hit the nail when you said the website was laid out terribly) so you'd have to upload all the other patches as well. I think that people who move on from Umitweak to Eps 5-8 will feel like it's missing something though' But they'll probably go on to read it just because of how awesome Umineko is B)/>
  11. You're translating something? I wasn't aware of this o.o Also, that's a pretty dirty move there D:
  12. I remember playing the first 3 eps with the patch and then the rest without the patch... Ryukishi07's artwork really grows on you ( o.o) At least I think he draws it :D/> I do agree with at least posting it in there somewhere, but if I remember right the files a little bit big to add into the main torrent. You'd also have to repackage the files, then reupload them to the seedbox... So it'd probably be best to link to their page directly. That way they get traffic from people downloading Umineko from fuwa too! B)/> Win win
  13. Well that's disappointing I vouch for .zips then. There are plenty of easy to use apps that can extract files from zips. Which app do you use? >.< I used splashtop a while ago, and that was the best, then I tried out VNC... It always seemed kind of silly to me. I finally decided to just go with a good ol' wireless mouse and keyboard.
  14. Holy crap I'll take my hand at it' All I have to do is send each of them a messages either asking them to change the adress link or asking them if they'd like to put up the blogs URL, right? By the way, I don't know what Opera doesn't like about the Forums reply editing area, but damn does it hate it o.o Back to firefox I suppose'
  15. Maybe the best way to deal with VNDS games is to distribute .zip's of theme, then give users instructions on how to unpackage them in android? For games that are packaged inside the google play store, you'll definitely have .apks to distribute, and most android users are pretty familiar with those. Aside from that, maybe someone wants to tinker around in packaging VNDS games into self extracting apks? It should be possible, probably Afterall, too my understanding, that's essentially what .apks are, self extracting packages that move data into it's proper place so that the application can be launched. Though maybe I'm just an idiot >.< Also, Aeeru, I'll love you forever for this xD I'll finally have a reason to use that damned tablet of mine *Thumbs Up*
  16. I think the most reasonable way to handle this is to just offer the .apk's themselves and let the users install them manually... Some phones don't give you the capabilities of installing your own apps, (Like mine) which means the user has to root them to install said app packages though (Like me.) Fuwan app might be the best way to do this, except maybe not on Google Play, but maybe on a third party app store like slideme? Making an app for fuwanovel is just adding a lot of unnecessary work though... I'll try brainstorming for it >.<
  17. Hello there zoom xD I just got done with my introduction yesterday, but I'm already old and experienced enough to welcome a new member B)/> Allow me to relish in the feeling of being someones senior for a moment... ... Okay, done. Hey, at least you are translating! I can't blame anyone working on translation as a side project for going at it slowly, especially people who have to juggle a lot of things. I should know, I suck at juggling. Wait, that wasn't relevant at all, was it...? All good anime adaptations, I didn't know Canvas 2 had an anime though o.o If anything, I'll have to call you my idol in one respect- Learning Japanese. I say this because I am horribly lazy with this stuff, and usually can't be bothered to continue in any of my attempts to strap down and actually learn something! xD Kudos to you, sir' Talking about 'secret codes' reminds me of when I was younger... My friends and I built an entire language up from the ground, and used it to talk to each other in secret! Cool stuff. If only we learned an actually useful language instead of creating one D: Cutting English cold turkey on your media is impressive, I might give it a shot... I could probably understand at least 10% of what is going on at face value, and about 60% using context' Also, don't be shy. You can talk to me LOTS, not just some *Thumbs Up* Just don't expect any reasonably timed responses ;)/> Oh, and welcome to Fuwanovel B)/>
  18. It only sounds familiar? D: Come on, don't treat your long lost cousin Curtain like that! My Dad might have named me after what he saw covering a hospital window, but man, that's cold SnowPoke. Hmmm... I need to get my revenge for you forgetting your dear, dear cousin (Me)... I wonder what SnowPoke tail tastes like?
  19. As impressive as shapeshifting is, I don't think you'll have any trouble doing it if you managed to master the art of typing with your elbows. Impressive stuff. I like pretty much every single one of Key's games that have been translated, I liked Higurashi and Umineko, I hated Chaos;Head but Loved Steins;Gate, and I have a humongous stuffed penguin doll in the corner of my room. Oh, and I liked Da Capo 1 and 2. I'm not sure how relevant the stuffed penguin doll is, but he was glaring at me since I didn't mention him- Figured it's better to be safe than dead.
  20. Nice to get a greeting from a fellow newcomer such as myself Let's be as active as we possibly can! > We'll be SO active, they'll have to ban us to get rid of us..! That's just how passionate our passion is for the community! Well, maybe we shouldn't be that passionate...
  21. Thanks for the hearty welcome B)/> Bow Staff skills, Computer Hacking skills... All the skills the girls love. Including those, I can, of course, use Photoshop, read and PROBABLY correct English sentences, and I might have the power to shapeshift, but that doesn't help much over the internet. Oh, and I have the ability to mash out random sequences of Kana using my keyboard and Microsoft IME. イツイスベリイインプレシヴ ! Really, my skills are indispensable, if I do say so myself.
  22. I've had the habit of refreshing the main page far too many times develop over the past week or so... In fact, the hit counts should be faaaaaaarrr over 2000 if my refreshes are counted xD What I like, huh? I like a site with accessible people, who share a common interest, and won't get on me with strict rules B)/> I think Fuwanovel brings all this together' And thanks for the welcome xD
  23. I'm special? O: You're making me blush, Aaeru xD I always send people to Fuwanovel to grab VNs, because A.) I get tired of burning DVDs B.) I like Fuwanovel C.) The website is laid out in a way that makes it easy for them to find an interesting game Also, 2802 hits a day and the introduction forum page looks like this? D': I guess people are downloaded the games, at least /> P.S., Do you have any suggestions on how I could be helpful around here o.o
  24. And so here I am, sitting in front of my noble and worn computer writing an introduction message for the Fuwanovel forums. With trusty keyboard and mouse by my side, I will not delay writing my introduction any more! Nay, I shall start now! Or that's what I'd say if I had much to introduce myself with. Hi, I'm curtain, and I like visual novels. Nice to meet you all B)/>
