No Translation for Ushinawareta?
-Otaku no Ouji- replied to EliteShadowMan's topic in Fan Translation Discussion
Has anyone heard of this VN? This fall anime season features the anime adaptation of this, and it really looks like quite a thing. As usual though the anime version seems to be pretty inferior to the visual novel, so I wanted to read it. I quickly looked it up on the internet but couldn't find anything, so does anyone know if there is an English patch available yet or if there is going to be one or maybe if there is a translation project going on right now? -
Heh, I said it seems to have those features, but I don't really know for sure. Also, I'm pretty sure they would only be marginal features, the main point still remaining the relationship between the player and one of the characters. I'm still not sure whether I could enjoy it or not, but I'll probably buy it anyway since it's not that expensive (only about 9 dollars) and give it a chance. Anyway, I guess most of you guys think that being it an otome it would hardly be enjoyed by a straight male player?

Then what makes Hatoful Boyfriend a yaoi Visual Novel?
-
Yaoi? Do you not play the role of a girl in the game? It's male pigeons, not just pigeons lol if they were to be female pigeons then I'm sure I would be able to grow some kind of emotional attachment towards some of the characters (not sexual attraction, that's for sure), but since they're male pigeons... The most I could feel would be a friendly-ish kind of attachment, which is not really the point of the game

I know that, but you do know they're actually guys D:
-
I wouldn't mind it if they humanized into girls and not boys

Has anyone played this VN? I saw it is gonna be available on Steam starting from August 21st, and I was thinking about purchasing it. But does it have any sense for a straight male to play an otome and reverse harem visual novel? I mean, being a straight male I would not feel anything of what one is supposed to feel when playing a dat sim towards any of the characters, yet the art looks so enjoyable and cute, it is just so appealing. Plus it seems to have some generic comedy\slife of lice features, which can be enjoyed by players of any gender. But does the fact that this visual novel's core is an otome, which makes it mainly targeted to girls, make it senseless for me to play it?

Thank you :3

Thank you all guys

Uhm, looks like a generic eroge to me I do like eroges sometimes, so I might consider reading it

How noob of me

Thanks! And sorry, I did not get the pun lol probably I'm missing some double meaning

lolol well, I do have experience with lolis, but they never appealed to me. They can be annoying at times, even A kind of loli I like is those who just act childish and kawaii, and add cute suffixes at the end of their sentences (Eg. Rika and Satoko from Higurashi). Not really into the "onii-chan, daisuki" kind of loli. About my favourite type of 2D girl, I'm not even sure I have one. If I have one, it's not one the deres for sure. Tsunderes, yanderes, colderes, they can be funny and cute at times, but repeteadly they get annoying. I kinda used to like them back to the origins, but now I tend to avoid anything that is too highly stereotyped, and dere characters are among what makes an anime\manga\visual novel more stereotyped. I do like megane though, which is not really about how they act, but how they look. Megane are often cute :3 In the end, I think my favourite kind of characters are probably those moe onee-chans who are like very mild and airhead, who do not even realize how freaking cute they are, and this only makes them even cuter :3 a perfect example is Moe Mizukoshi from Da Capo Is she not irresistably moe and kawaii?

Thanks I'll surely read Grisaia no Kajitsu, I don't know about the other one though You've read Higurashi, I see, then I recommend strongly that you read Umineko no Naku Koro ni. Hope you have fun and I'll see you around. (PS: Everyone is a potential lolicon, so I'll just leave this here, on the hopes that you'll join our side.) No, I haven't read Higurashi, I watched the anime. I'm planning on reading the sound novel though, as I know it shows many more story arcs that give a complete image of the whole story. And yes, I do wanna play Umineko, I've even downloaded it already Sorry, I'm not really a lolicon lol
-
Thanks you :3 Thanks! I have downloaded both Umineko and Umineko Chiru with the english patches. I'm not playing it yet because first I want to replace the english script files with those of the italian patch I downloaded

Sure thing

Yeah, that's for sure. It's something I'd love to do, but at the moment there are other things I want to read\watch
-
That is a visual novel I'd like to play someday
-
I suspicted that, but then he shouldn't have said re-read, because I've never read it before
-
Sure, what I watch is the screen, but what I'm actually doing is reading the subtitles
