That's the point. You're not going conventional. You're experiencing the turbulent beginning and end of one of the greatest romances, formed by mere coincidence but completely heartening. I think you're just too used to Grisaia's way-too-long prologue or Rewrite's Occult mode or something.
Just to warn you: Dra+Koi starts out so crappy you'll want to quit in the first scene. DON'T. Continue. I assure you, you will be satisfied beyond your wildest beliefs.
