It looks like it might be the language, but seeing as how I followed the system locale from this very forum, I don't know how to be sure of it. Do you know how? No sweat if you don't. The discord sounds like a solid option if nothing works but this does seem like it might be an easy fix and I'm just missing something.

Hey! New account here, sorry to bother. I recently bought and played the first Majikoi and loved it, so much so that I'd love to play S and the fandiscs. I saw that an English patch for the game was available here, so I figured the entire process would be fairly cut and dry, but I'm having a lot of trouble with it. I first didn't know why the installer wouldn't work past the second page or so, but quickly figured out that this is an English patch, not the entire game, From there, I've been following this guide. Following it was going smoothly until around 4:21 in the video where he goes to install the actual game. On my end, I get an immediate error where the one and only thing I can make out is "config.html". Looking into the comment section of that video, I'm not the only one who's had this problem, but I haven't found a solid solution for it, The text in the launcher is all a bunch of indiscernible characters instead of Japanese text, so I figured I set my system locale wrong, but sure enough, it is set to Japanese, After an hour or two of searching and visiting a variety of more than sketchy sites, I haven't found discussion on this more recent than like 2015 or so so I maaaay be screwed but I figured I'd give asking you guys a try, If anyone knows what to do I'd be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Thanks!
