I managed to eventually fix it by reinstalling correctly Can this thread be locked ?

Good afternoon my fellow gamers, Ive come to you in a time of great need. I wanted to replay the above mentioned game, but I noticed that the game doesnt have any audio besides the opening song. My OS is Windows 11 and its running on x64 and my system locale is set to Japanese too. Went through the config ingame, nothing is muted or anything of the sort. I tried to play in compability mode and that sadly changed nothing for me aswell. Admin mode does nothing either. I googled around a bit and it seems some folk on reddit had the same problem for windows 10 and were able to fix it with windows 10 fix program, doesnt help me much sadly. Saw two threads here too, seems like reinstalling managed to fix it for those OPs. However I saw someone in those threads mentioning trying to fix it through the config file and checking if sound is set to 0. So I thought, nice, problem solved, should just set it to 1 and voila right? Wrong. I get this crash report right after starting the game. So I guess it has something to do with my DirectX app? Im honestly at the ends of my wits here. Playing a VN without sound is soulcrashing. Any help would be gladly appreciated, and thanks for reading anyway. E: Forgot to add, the config file reverts the sound option back to 0 right after the game opens apparently.
