  1. I didn't quite "play" them but I did a lot of research on Aeon Dream Studios games for a video I made -- AKA Mystic Destinies (Serendipity of Aeons/Echoes, pretty well-known fantasy otome games) and To The Edge of the Sky (was originally a BTS fan game until they got a cease and desist). You have to admit...even with the ridiculousness that is that company (don't even get me started) their games were/are pretty dang good. It's a shame lol
  2. So, many consider Academagia (and similar games) just text-based games since they are much more text-heavy than your average visual novel. However, there are still a LOT of visuals in this game, as well as, of course, reading, and you make choices like you would in many other more 'traditional' visual novels. So, my question is this: do YOU consider a game like Academagia a visual novel? Whether you do or don't, I'd love to hear your reason why as well as your general criteria for what makes something a VN in the first place.
