    After some time I found Utawarerumono after watching the anime, it has a gorgeous story too! Quite emotional too in the end. (Or i'm being overly sensitive)

    Then I found this amazing place and I played Hoshizora no Memoria, the Yume route made me cry, i'll be honest on that one.

    Then I started playing G-senjou no Maou, it's a pretty good one too, but there was 1 dissapointing route in it (the story was rather short too) that was the Mizuha route btw.

    Not much later i started playin Shrin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo, it wasn't too bad but i've expected more of it somehow.

    And here I am, playing Rewrite. (Where i'm stuck at, could some of you head over to the troubleshooting section and help me out there? :D/>)

    Well, G-Senjou was my second VN, first being Fate Stay Night. G-Senjou was great, but i need to agree on that one, Mizuha's route is too short, and poorly detailed, seems like they got out of ideas. But still, i really loved G-Senjou, the other routes are great.

    I'm playing Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo, but i'm still at the third chapter.

    From what I've played so far probably Saya No Uta, it had a very creepy atmosphere that reminded me of Lovecraft and a pretty awesome soundtrack.

    OMG, now i will say this: We need to be friends...i love H.P. Lovecraft!

    Well, we're officially friends now. D&D is fun. Playing 4.0? 3.0? (please not 3.5...)

    I felt the same way about the protag for a while. Trust me, you wont be disappointed. Like a lot of VNs (and anime), you have to give it a solid few hours.

    PS: We should make a tabletop topic...

    Well, i played D&D since Advanced Dungeons & Dragons. Currently, we're playing 4.0. I tried Pathfinder but...i don't know, 4.0 seems much better. I have also tried Old Dragons, but i kinda hated it.

    Yeah, the game is getting better and better, i kinda surprised, since the first half hour was godly, and then...the protag just says random retarded stuff.

    What's funny is... I actually own software for online D&D software O.o (edit: which apparently no longer works, well that's gonna take a while to fix :'()

    Also Tay, why the 3.5 hate?

    I know tons of people that hate 3.0 or 3.5...i guess the changes were made only for hate/love.

    After seeing Fantasy Grounds, ERPG and other softwares, i think i will make one myself =/

    It was a conceptcial program that was gonna get rolled out, but never go past Alpha. Seems it has some issues on my current machine.

    Fantasy Grounds 2 made a decent program, problem is pricing is too high for what it is... 150 dollars buys you the ultimate licence, basically means you host the game and anyone can play in YOUR game.

    I was tempted since I get a discount so I could get it for 100 dollars, but I can't see me using it enough to justify it :(/>/>*

    Fantasy Grounds 2 is good, but our "group" didn't like. We used to play every weekend, our group had 7 people. Now, everyone is in another city, so, 2 months without RPG already. We tried some online tools, but...it didn't work well.

    If you guys wanna try playing on the internet, we can try. RPG by Forum or some software ^^

    Well, i finished Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo. Thanks for the tip Aaeru. I couldn't manage to like the 2nd chapter and in the beginning of the 3rd i almost took a break. But the 4th and 5th chapters were awesome, nice turn of events.

    A few spoilers, be advised:

    That Houzuki guy...omg. Seven years faking a "broken" leg, that was pretty cool. I could hate him the entire 4th and 5th chapter, but that end...

    I went for Touka's route first, but i kinda felt bad after watching Natsumi's history. And i got a WTF face when you discover where Ririko was...just...WTH!

    Yeah, i'm home...doing exactly nothing, so, playing time!

    Sure, i did not like the main char at first, too loud and a bit retarded, but the obligation thing was very nice, never saw anything like it in animes/mangas. Since i play RPG, i got some nice ideas for a new country in my campaign!

    When i say RPG, i mean Dungeons & Dragons, Gurps, Storyteller and stuff liek that ^^

    Well, not in my Brazil! XD

    that doesnt happen here at least, unless we want to just make fun of it, we speak incorrectly all the time, but if the mistake is outrageous and seriously bad then of course we going to correct them by any means neccessary. Any.Means.Neccessary.

    Unless you talking about the internet, where countless of other fellow Brazilians feel allmighty enough to punish every single grammar mistake for the sake of their Fuhrer.

    Anyways, with that aside, I was just like you Rei-san, no pratice, minimal knowledge and stuck on an international server of a game I liked, so, what did i do? I started talking and correcting myself, you learn from experience so you cannot be afraid of mistakes, they are what teach you how to do it right.

    Well, IRL, yeap, lots of people want to correct others, but in the virtual world, it's such a pain in the...if you forget about a ~ people tell you to go back to kindergarten...

    If you wanna see the dark side of people, go play League of Legends, seriously, worst community ever.

    I played Atlantica Online, on international server, Delphi, and it was great, everyone was polite, at that time, i had some guts, and i thought, hell, let's try talking to these people, so i joined our guild ts and we had tons of fun. No one mocked me because of my english, but now...i fear for the worst. Most game communities are becomming battlefields, where peoplhe thrash talk everyday =/

    Sure. I got it when i bought my xbox. I know i have it, but i still need to find it. LOL.

    The talk about a certain old lady got me curious...so i will definitely try!

    12 hours in the forum and have tons of stuff to play...YAY!

    The last game i played on my xbox was Dante's Inferno, and it was pretty good. The game reminded a la very old ps1 game. Soul Reaver...well, old times.

    Skipping Muv-Luv? Why would you do that? Without Extra (first one) I bet I would understand the story and characters that well and boy some of them are great! I recomend you either play them all, or at least watch an walkthrough of it, its definately worth it if you have the time.

    those VN have a good story but hey don't go Alternative before you finish reading Muv-Luv because if you don't read Muv-Luv first you don't know the whole story of Alternative just finish reading sumika and meiya route in Muv-Luv then playing Unlimited after that go to Alternative

    Ok, i will follow the order, thanks for the info, some people told me to just skip and go for the last...but let's say i don't really trust them :P

    If you want to try a Western-made vn, then you should definitely try Katawa Shoujo. It's got a lot of fans on these forums! :)/>

    Katawa Shoujo...i will try it.

    When i finish my next VN i will post on a open thread or create one, i really like discussing!

    Ahhh, I see where you coming from, I never enjoyed reading mangas aswell for some reason, I always prefered watching animes instead... not that I dont love books though...I just dont want any pictures on them....

    Oh! if you are looking for a VN to play, may i suggest Hoshizora no Memoria? It was my first one, Im still playing it, and lord, how I love it!

    Welcome! My brother loved in Brazil for a few years and loved it.

    Allow me to echo Aaeru: Sharin no Kuni is likely the right way to go. Take note: Sharin no Kuni: Himawari no Shoujo is the main game. Once you've finished it, there's a fan disk (Sharin no Kuni, Yūkyū no Shōnenshōjo) that expands on the epilogue and has a great prologue story to better frame the whole experience.

    Start with Sharin no Kuni: Himawari no Shoujo first, tho :)/>/>/>

    Hey, Welcome!

    I'm also a fan of RPG! The first time i played Final Fantasy 7 and 8, i was like, WOW!

    Final 9 was good too, tried playing final 10 but...Tidus is kinda annoying. I got a xbox about 2 years ago, and played Final Fantasy 13, the game was good, those graphics...but i felt that the game was missing something...kinda hard to explain.

    Did you also play Chrono Trigger, Vandal Hearts, Ogre Battle? Or some tactics rpgs?
