  1. When does the action start? When do you get to pick servants? I haven't had much time to play a lot, but I've been doing nothing but exploring the school building so far.

That part should last for like 30 minutes, then you get to pick servants

    About inconsistencies...

Off the top of my head, Nero was a tyrant, but at the same time all about the rabu, what? Dan Blakemore as a character doesn't make any sense and uses the divine right concept wrong, Rin's terrorist beliefs don't make sense, hell, why's she a terrorist anyway? And where the hell is Leo from? How come sometimes items get deleted from the arena but magically in chapter 7 (I think?) Leo's brother feathers remained. And saving either one of Rin/Rani was a huge asspull by Nasu.

  2. I have to ask though: What makes the Grisaia trilogy so popular? I feel like it's the most spoken about VN on the internet lately. It's good but it's not on Muv Luv Alternative's level or anything.

Hits all the "feelings" buttons for some people and has a good translation. I thought it was good, but nothing to write home about, except Angelic Howl.

  3. Red Saber is awesome, Red Saber best Saber. And for a first playthrough, she's the best choice, as she's the strongest of the three, and not knowing the enemy patterns at first won't hurt you so much.

Anyway, about the game itself, I liked it. Plot's pretty good for a tournament setting, although there were some inconsistencies, and the antagonist's motivations wasn't that great and is actually a simplification of a point that could have been explored way more in-depth. But it's fun. Gameplay's not really that good, gets pretty repetitive after a while. But Red Saber makes it worth it.

  4.                   :) Hello.

                                   ............What VNs do you like?

I recommend Ever 17, it's pretty good for newcomers. :D

  5. Whether you like it or not, Fate is part of Nasuverse (Nasu's multi-universe), and he sets the rules. Besides, he's the one who created the characters and overall scenario for Zero. Gen just wrote a few of the personalities, made the specific character interactions, filled up the timeslot, and put everything into LN format, He really didn't have any influence on the strength of the character's.

  6. I think they care more about the law rather than about disgusting their public or anything. Clearly this is a game for harcore hentai aficionados who know what they're getting into anyway, or people playing to see their favorite fetish.

Yeah, but what they cut weren't real acts (which might or might not be forbidden in the U.S., depending on the State) but mere depictions of them. And like you said, this is a hardcore hentai game, it's not like their audience was going to be shocked by a dick or two getting cut off.
