I know a certain person and I don't quite understand him. Over 80% of the anime/manga/VNs that he pursues he ends up dropping. He drops a bunch of anime only after the first episode...He doesn't even give them a chance...He is more of a critic who looks at all the flaws instead of an average person that enjoys the series. Why even pursue the hobby if you end up disliking over 80% of the stuff ._.
To each his own I guess.
Too much of a anime connoisseur. or he just wants to work for CinemaSins on youtube lol.

Crusader Kings 2 has been the most intense game of my life.
But, my peak csgo rank was only Gold Nova Master.
I also have played dota if anyone wants to play some normals cause I havent leveld my acc up. I've played League since beta so theres that as well.
Chivalry is pretty fun to if anyone else has that. -
My club leader on MAL doesn't seem to appreciate music at all (he listens to rap with foul language and little artistic value). Was having a conversation with my club about how I bought some physical albums and he said he would never pay $10 for one. I told him, "You can't even pay that much to support the artists for the music they produce?" He replied, "I don't care. Plus, you can get music for free, why would you pay for it?" I asked him how he gets his music and he told me he downloads it for free from some downloader app on his phone. It downloads mp3 128kbps which is medium to low quality. To put salt on the wound, he listens to it using the older version Beats Studio headphones and in-ears which are known to be terribly overpriced for mediocre sound. He then tells us that all of our music is shit and that rap is the best. Everybody in the conversation was pretty mad (I was probably the most angered). This has made me think..so this is the worst type of pirate who thinks he can just get stuff online for free. Saddening.
I can understand not everyone is nice enough to buy something if you can get it for free. Good on you. I had a kind similar situation but not really with Southpark Stick of Truth because alot of people complained its not worth 60$ cause the graphics suck/simple and they pirated it. But like rap was graphics and the album was SouthPark lol. plus graphics don't make the game, and it was extremely faithful to southpark. It was like I was in the show!

Playing Crusader Kings 2 and got destroyed multiple times by big bullying empires and kingdoms like the Norse and England, I thought it was almost impossible to play a small state. Then I started playing a small state in Wales formed the Kingdom of Wales. I had some of my dynasty in Scotland from political marriages and fought a war to obtain the claim. I won and the new hardest part of game comes where I had to keep my vassals in line, I quickly found out some vassals hated me way to much and I'm pretty sure I assassinated at least 60 of my vassals because there opinions were so low. I slowly took land from Ireland because I was much stronger and couldn't get my heir into inheritence. Then I married some of my kids into Galicia for the claim on the kingdom, and assassinated the King and all of his children and siblings. At this point I was King of Scotland and Wales and I overpowered Galicia easily with brute force and now I have a claim on the Kingdom of Castilles and Asturias and intend to destroy them and claim their land. I had large supplies of money from borrowing money from the jews and banishing them all from the land and seizing their gold. My only enemy now are the no good backstabbing English because the others are too weak to oppose my three united kingdoms. But then I realized. I had became what I had hated in the beginning. I was a lowly single state and then got power, and became the bully.
Oh and there was alot of incesting/cousin marriage/uncle and son/daughter to breed for amazing heirs and children lol.tldr: amazing game.

Pretty sure we already have a thread like that.
What irritates me is rather that a lot of (often new) anime watchers just right out say "I don't really like mecha" while not having ever watched a giant robot anime. I can understand someone not liking giant robots, if you tried Gundam, TTLG and Evangelion and didn't like any than chances are it's not for you. But hey, at least try. It's not like it's one of the richest genre of japanese animation.
Also more people should watch VOTOMS indeed. To understand what real robot means, not like Gundam and its numerous rip-offs like A/Z. But then you need your body to be ready before watching VOTOMS.
The mecha genre is a pioneer of greatness. EVA is top anime ever sold, TTGL is still amazingly popular with people who don't like mecha, Gundam has 1000x toys and series now and has a friggan life-size statue in japan. Votoms is pretty obscure but still has series coming out even if they lost its former glory. Astro Boy, and Mazinger have inspired people everywhere to pursue anime-related careers that have made beloved series, Go Nagai is the god trope creator of all anime.

Ace of Diamonds is great and gets better when it catches the manga! One Outs is the BEST baseball anime. Cross Game is pretty good as well for baseball. Area no Kishi is a decent soccer anime/manga. And you cant go wrong with Slam Dunk which is an awesome basketball anime/manga. Prince of Tennis is DBZ tennis. Chihayafuru is intense card slapping action.

What do you think about cliches?
Every cliche that now is branded as cliche, at some time was the most original and inovational idea for it's age. Every original will eventually turn into cliche and this process is most likely unavoidable so we should at least try to utilise cliches so that they aren't boring and repetetive. Every show has it's cliches but if they are executed well nobody will pay attention to that highly "original" development.
Are they good? are they bad?
I wouldn't say that they are good or bad. Cliches are just essential no matter how many try to deny it.
What kind of cliches do you know? do you hate them? do you like them?
There are enermous amount of cliches I could try to count, even for one genre so I'll limit it to several genres.
Cliches that piss me off - Cofee Ver.
Shoujo;
Entrance Ceremony => Girl meets bad boy while bad boy is hooking up with other girl => "kyaa, you're the worst" => "Hey, I like you' you're going to become mine => after several chapters of heavy blushing, jealousy and forced kiss with rape attempt they happily hook up.
Shounen; Weak hero + childhood friend => "geez, you really can't do anything without me, Hero-chan (yes, chan because #childhood friend) => wild deliquents appear => "hey aniki, that chick looks hot, let's hit on her" => "hey cute you look awesome, gehehehe" => "kyaa, save me Hero-chan" => *gasp" "I swear I heard heroine call for me, better go look at her" =>. *gasp* x2 "leave her alone, you bastards" => *charges to the deliquents, gets beaten but girl is impressed by her knight and they start being tsundere to each other while still somehow managing to look like love-birds*

I'ma dude and my favorite shoujo mangas are Koi Dano Ai Dano and Oresama Teacher cause I love the protagonists in them .They aren't the typical weak female protagonist and end up being the most badass.
As for shounen, I hate when shounen manga use the power of friendship too much for free power upgrades man.
Straight up animes meant to be ecchi are terrible as shit. When I saw the first episode of Hyakka Ryouran I was like yo Juubei is bamf as hell. But they killed my interest as the series went on and Samurai Brides was dumb. Rosario + Vampire was shafted and they didnt progress any of the plot after 2 seasons they just had to throw fanservice all over the place and make up their own goddamn plots. My butt is still sore from how much they screwed it up.
