Your best bet is to buy a NAS. That way you can just hook it up to the router and use a network share to access the data.
Most NAS also have the benefit of built in raid so you have the option of redundancy for your data as well.
Here is a 2 bay version on Amazon:

If the savedata is stored in the user-profile your best bet is to make use of folder redirection (My Documents???,Appdata???,Programdata??) and have both users point to the same location of the network share.

You of course are not limited to keeping your save games on the NAS. You can store movies and watch between computers and the same applies to games etc. The NAS I listed also comes with DLNA support that allows you to stream movies to Smart TV's, game consoles, etc.

Works fine for me on windows 7 x64 (loads to start of game...not interested in playing game at the moment). I think you are likely missing a codec.
Try downloading and installing a codec pack like: http://download.cnet.com/Media-Player-Codec-Pack-Plus/3000-13632_4-75683928.html
You can also try and removing the read only option but that really shouldn't be giving you any problems (works fine with it on my machine).

For those who are running windows 8 are your sure you need to dualboot? Have you tried to to update directx first (add some of the older directx 9 libraries not included by default with windows and then running the program in xp compatibility mode?

Right now I'm just going to see if I can dodge the scene and still get Sumika's ending, if not, oh well.
If it is a scene, its likely some sort of video. Try installing a codec pack like: http://download.cnet.com/Media-Player-Codec-Pack-Plus/3000-13632_4-75683928.html and see if it fixes your problem

Thanks. Though the topic is over 2 months old it's nice to have another resource.
EDIT: So you've stimulated me into trying to solve the issues, I'll be posting up a test download to get some people to try it.
No problem. Just noticed there was a problem and since no solutions were listed (other then re-downloading 2.35 GB off a capatcha based filehosting service :)/> ) I thought I would offer up an easier solution.
The only other advice I would offer is to make sure you uninstall-reinstall the game prior to testing. The english program seems to apply a patch to the voice files at the beginning and if you don't you'll get Japanese text where there was previously english (under old voice 1.pak).
Other then that you guys may want to re-upload the torrent or include a small xdelta torrent below the original post with the difference.
Edit: Noticed you re-uploaded the torrent. Hope all go well for you guys and you don't encounter any other problems.

Have you unchecked the readonly attribute for the folder(s)?
