  1. Using Jap locale, ran the installer and at the end I get a "Patching Failed!" error. Then it rollback the patch. Any ideas? I installed the game on a folder in a HDD diferent than the system one. (if that's important)

The installer should autodetect your install path, and even if the path it detects is wrong, you can manually set it.

I can't really help unless you tell me what the console output says before it fails.

  2. didn't work D:

i already have Japanese as locale and your patch is not working.

and Here's a screen. it says: "Impossible to find the specific file." when i run "apply_diffs" as an administrator

If you ran my installer .exe and let it finish, it should already be good to go. It both extracts and applies the patch.

  3. The patch is not working for me,

    i'm using windows 8.

The Folder is in my desktop, after i run the patch in administrator inside the folder and it says something like "Files cannot be found" .

Then i downloaded the "IMHHW restoration patch improved" bkp files appeared but still not working.

Beacause: Moenovels Appears in the beginning, i can stilll load my saves, and if i go to gallery there's dat TOWEL. c.c

Make sure you're using Japanese locale.

If you are, then try using the installer I made. Just download the installer and run it, you don't need to undo the patch or uninstall the game or anything like that.

  4. * Search for [name][honourific] in Japanese

    * Find and replace name in matching English line

    Quick and easy, no?

Primary issue with that is things where the Japanese uses a character's name, while the equivalent in English would use "you," "your," or some other pronoun.

  5. Well, I got mine patched properly.

Going to try working on an installer that should completely automate the process and allow you to patch over installs in Program Files without doing anything extra.

Nevermind Kotarou's thing already does that and I'm stupid.

  6. Then patch wasn't installed correctly. Do you have "chip1.arc.bkp" and so on files in your game directory?

Once I can get mine patched properly, which won't be for a while since I have to reinstall due to accidentally deleting one of the backups, I'll probably throw together a simple installer exe to make things easier and avoid issues like this in the future.

It would make it easier for me if you could upload your patched .arcs, though.

  7. Well, the only issue I'm getting is one I already had that I assumed was due to the patch being incomplete during QC.

The sprites almost never show, with errors being thrown instead every time a sprite is supposed to show or change.

Running apply_difs.bat requires that you either have the game installed in a directory that doesn't require admin, or that you run the .bat as admin and then edit the bat to specify the program files directory.

I just set my program files folder to not require admin, but the easiest method is just installing to a different directory.

  8. You don't actually need to dl it, just dl Rio.arc from patch folder and replace as always, other files are exactly same as before.

    Oh, I know.

I've just been without internet since it went up, and the connection I'm on now won't let me connect to download it.

  9. Yeah, there's plenty of such mistakes, mistranslations and mismatches. Translators are fixing them when spot, but full TLC is impossible at this point.

I was fortunate enough to get all of the lines properly translated by someone in the VN general on 4chan.

The post was mostly as a warning for the other editors in case they come across anything like that that slipped by the translators.

  10. Heads up to everyone.

I noticed something while editing that may be true for the other routes as well.

In Kotori's route, there are a total of five instances of a misplaced line, all at various points in the route. It's always the same line, and it's there in the MoeNovel release.

As you'll notice, the Japanese isn't the same for any of these instances, and, in fact, none of them actually translate to "Then, just around the time when summer was about to start..." at all.

Now, this is a line that does actually come up later in Kotori's route, but there may be similar cases of misplaced lines in the other routes, so be wary.

Here's the fifth instance not shown in the screenshot, as well as proof that it's in the untouched MoeNovel release

  11. Another topic: What's with the tense in this text? I've been getting a bad feeling about some random tense changes throughout the text, but I just found a line with a tense change half way through. Ugh.

Now that the rain has stopped, countless stars are\nprojected on the calm surface of the lake.

I hate these, always hard to know which is correct, but be sure to keep on the lookout, everyone.

That sentence is grammatically correct as is, though.

  12. Quick question about the compatibility of the patch, will this only work on hard copies or will digital dl's from play-asia work as well?

Also I wouldn't mind giving a hand on editing, however I haven't done it before.

Thanks for doing this I think I'll actually buy this now.

The first post says it will be compatible with the play-asia version.
