Well, I personally like it because of the lovable characters.

The story is not bad, and the pictures was nicely done.

For me, Tohka and Yoshino are just too adorable.

What about you guys?

It's all about da Kurumi. Kotori was fun, too.

Date a Live was a decent show. S2 was a bit of a letdown though compared to the S1.

I forgot to finish the last episode :makina:

Agreed with all of Eclipsed's second line, though I never ever saw the appeal in Kurumi and thought she was worst girl. Plot's meh, action can be decent, the girls are pretty good with Kotori being best. S2 just sucked because Miku.

I didn't like it. I was intrigued by the idea and concept of the anime but then my complainst started running in: Firstly, I didn't fancy the art at all. Soundtracks didn't stand out but it was ok I guess. As for the characters, I dunno , didn't feel like there's much development , hell I felt like it was the usual pattern , boy saves girl, girl loves the guy, he gets a harem. But then again that was the whole concept of the anime so I should have known what I was getting but it was a mistake on my side I guess. Finally I really loathed some of the characters (especially kurumi)

Subjective views aside, it was decent show with a good setting and story and even the cliche moments were to some extent enjoyable even for me.

Edit : I thought this was meant to be opinion about 1st season only but as far as second season goes, I struggled to finish it till the last episode and never looked forward to any episode.

Kotori saved the show.

Not enough Kotori in season 2.

Overall 6/10

More seriously I feel like it's a nice way to play on galges and such, but I do feel like the writing is very inconsistent and sometimes it gets lost in its own mess of a setting which makes one wonder when they're kind of playing with the tropes and when they're trying to be serious but horribly failing at it and it just lacks direction overall.

But hey, there's Kotori so that's nice.

Hmm, Kurumi nee?

Somehow I just can't bring myself to like her.

All with her dangerous and seductive attitude.

About Kotori, she's an imoutou-chan, you know?

No matter how much you love her,

you can't love her more than a sister.

About S2 being a letdown, maybe it is.

But I don't hate it,

it reveals three new characters after all.

About the cliche setting, I don't reaally care.

I like it because Tohka & Yoshino are just too adorable.

Kurumi is by far one of the best characters in that show and I really advice you watch the OVA with her if you haven't already because she was just shining in it.

She's outside the scope of the other submissive heroines, she's not a random tsundere that can't get her feelings straight, I really love her assertive atitude and I think that's what makes her one of the better heroines in Date A Live.

Assertive heroines going dere = Win

Funny that you bring this up, because I was streaming a playthrough of Date A Live yesterday. Got through the common and Yoshino route

I watched it for Kotori and Yoshino. End of story.

Wow, you know what is up

I have watched the OVA.

But it only deepens my fear for Kurumi.

She has so many kinds of herself

with different personality.

About Kotori, hey, I have 6 little sisters.

So I just can't understand those siscon perverts.

Edit: I forget, one of my siblings is a guy.

So to put it correctly, I have a brother and 5 little sisters.

Date a Live is my guilty pleasure. I watched season 1 for god knows how many times and enjoyed it way more than I should have. I don't even know why, I just love it.

Kurumi is a really great character, though I personally adore Kotori. She's just so cute

Kotori's actually

not blood-related

I have one sister and my imouto hentai folder is probably the biggest out of all the folders in my PC. Nothing wrong~

Kotori is great not just because she handles her Onii-chan like a proper woman but she's also cuter than a basket full of baby kittens when she's embarrassed and I her importance to the plot really puts her above a lot of the other characters. Unlike all the other heroines, Kotori was with the protagonist from the beginning, she's not expected to be dateable, so when she does actually come into play it's like the cherry on top of the cake, it's just a shame she vanishes from season 2.

Exactly this, and is why Kotori is best girl. And part of the reason S2 sucked.

Argh, a sister is a sister no matter blood-related or not.

You don't know how I feel having 5 sisters,

each differs about two years in age.

They're cute, so lovely, oh dear.

About my brother, well, maybe I'm reading VN too much

to even forget his gender.

About Kotori, I really know you guys feel.

But still Tohka is my favourite. She's close to my type.

A strong, reckless, pure-hearted, honest, and of course beautiful.

Season two didn't make Kotori "vanished", it's just too packed.

Introducing 3 heroines with only ten episodes.

Yeah it's a shame S2 didn't explore her much deeper.

By the way, no Yamai fans here?

In its LN there is still unintroduced heroine in the anime.

And *spoiler warning*

do you guys know that Origami killed her own parents

unintentionally when she travel to the past

(with Kurumi's help of course)?

Yeah, she IS a spirit.

Thanks for the admin (although I don't know which one)

for cleaning up my post.
