Silvz
Am I using "utsuge" correctly? Anyway, I'd like to try some depressing animes, but those which are really sad, without that usual comedy side the studios tend to mix inside. I've watched that one adapted from a VN [kimi no nozomu eien] and I think it is quite close to what I'm asking... Do you know any depressing - and without comedy - animes? Flutterz
Yup, that's utsuge except for the fact that utsuge specifically refers to games (utsu-geimu). Unfortunately I haven't watched any though, so there's nothing I can recommend. Silvz
Nosebleed
Am I using "utsuge" correctly? No. Let's see.. "Ima Soko ni Iru, Boku" comes to mind. That show is pure depression. Maybe "Jigoku Shoujo" as well, though i wouldn't classify it as depressing as much as angtsy. Silvz
Silvz
Utsuani? Jigoku Shoujo I already watched - great anime, btw. I'm going to check this Ima Soko ni Iru, Boku.
GetterEmperor
Let's see. Saishuu Heiki Kanojo and Texhnolyze? I remember those being pretty depressing.
BookwormOtaku
From what I've heard (since I tend to avoid depressing stuff): Saikano Now and Then Here and There Kawasumi
Silvz
I can't find most of those animes - since they are kindda old, most links doesn't work. Some fansubs even don't exist anymore @_@
Clephas
Try bakabt. A lot of old obscure anime are there. Silvz
Deep Blue
I think berserk can easily fit in the category of utsuge (Hard to recommend it because it ends abruptly and you need to read the manga which is not even finished yet )
Funyarinpa
evangelion to an extent imo
