Ryoji Posted March 29, 2013 Share Posted March 29, 2013 Hey guys, Tay and I have been going back and forth over the last few weeks about ways we can help new members get started, and how to prevent duplicate topics from being created. We've decided to move forward with the following idea, and we need your help! After reading the plan, if you can give 15 minutes to helping out by going through a forum collecting useful links, we'd appreciate it. As always, we'd also love your feedback, too. ------------------- Project: A stickied topic in the Introduce Yourself forum with a guide + links to popular, fun threads, or threads that risk duplication. This will include things like "Favorite [VN/Manga/etc]" threads, the new MAL threads, etc. Basically a "Introduction to Fuwanovel!!" Needed Help: We need volunteers to comb through each forum looking for topics that would be new-user friendly OR which risk being duplicated ("favorites" threads, images threads, etc). Combing through a forum should take about 15 mins. Forums we need searched: Visual Novel Talk Fan Translation Discussion Walkthroughs (just a list of the names and links) Anime/Manga Talk General Discussion ------------------- If you can give 15 mins, please post the forum you'll take below, and then post your links+topic titles once you're done. We think a second pass through each forum is a good idea, too, so don't be shy to take a forum already done -- a second pair of eyes is helpful, too! Thank you for your help! VNs you would like to be animated VNs you are waiting translations for Your favorite drink/food while playing Your first VN experience Your favorite VN soundtracks What VN did you buy recently? Your favorite VN protagonist If there was one VN you could remove from you memory and play again Thoughts and discussions about the media: Non-translated VNs for beginners recommendations The VN community in your country Anime adaptations of VNs The effect of finishing a VN List of translated VN download websites Is romance necessary in VNs? Are routes necessary? A VN payment model for Western countries? Visual novels and their emotional meanings to you Are H-scenes necessary? What is eroge (presentation by Aaeru) Specific Game topic: Some games already have their own discussion topic. Those are usually post-game topics: spoilers are to be expected. Please use the search engine to find them, those should be easy enough to find by typing their name. Note: Those threads are NOT where you should post if you have gaming issues.
