The Sakaurasou Team Presents They're first Psp Visual Novel Translation

Hello there my fellow members of this wonderful community. I am a new member who finally managed to create an account on this site and I'm here to announce that we the newly formed SAKURASOU TEAM are or have Begun translating the PSP Visual novel Boku wa tomodachi Sakugnai (I don't have any friends).

Information about the Game:
Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai is the popular anime, manga and novel series about a boy who just transferred school and is having trouble making friends who teams up with loners Yozora and Sena to form a school club for others who don't have many friends, either. This PSP game will bring the story to many new places, with all original content. Also comes with a fun eroge style visual novel called Kirameki School Life, the game Sena plays in the anime, that you can play too.
Got that from here(https://vndb.org/v8462)

Team members :
No one special just your casual Sakurasou inmates

Leader:Akasaka"Mark" Ryuunosuke
Translator:Shiina "Gabriel"Mashiro
Graphical Editor:Kamiigusa"Augusto" Misaki

Graphic Editor:Kanda Chronoes" Sorta
Social media side of the project and English proof reader:Mitaka Me"Jin

We are an average size team and we have just began opening up the game files and have already found the script(thanks to chrones) and we have also extracted all the images that are need for editing. The script has been sent to the Translator and we are testing some modified text in game today as well.
We are in dire need of another Translator to proof read or translate to speed things up!

We need the following positions on our translation.
Japanese proof readers (we need 1-2 of these)
Translators (This we really need a second translator)
Graphical Editors (Space Full)
Hackers/Programmers(Space Full)

No machine translators please!
if you are one of the people we need then comment or pm Me.

Progress:
We have opened up the big .Dat files which contained lots of .gim files and we have created tools for that too. We have been given lots of tools by other complete or close to complete translation's such as Toradora and Orimieo.
Gamiee is currently creating more tools for other file types
Gabriel has been given the script and has begun translating it.

We intend on making this a full translation meaning 100%

We then intend on translating the Sakaurasou pet no kanjo PSP VN hence why we are called the Sakaorasou team. We are going to work faster on this translation since most of the tools are done and the script stuff is being translated(0% so far lol)
Our graphical editor has already edited some of the game images and he will continue a lot faster now because the .gim files have been extracted.
And that about wraps up this introduction.
We intend on releasing in game images of us messing around with the script sometime this week.
I will yet again state that we really need another Translator!

Thank you very Much for Reading!!!!!

Our official blog for the translation has been created

What, your team name is Sakurasou and you are not gonna translate Sakurasou VN?

Anyway, good luck with your project ^_^

I knew someone would ask this

We want to establish ourselves so we thought do boku and get a few more members and then do sakarousou.is that a good enough explanation.

Because we originally did start on sakarousou but the formats are like nothing we have ever witnessed before.

The game engine is probably similar to Oreimo & Toradora which are made by the same companies. You can find my Toradora tools here: https://github.com/xyzz/taiga-aisakaand I've also asked Oreimo team if they can share theirs.

So you are the legend whom anonymously translated that game. Thank you for that toradora was great.

Is there any chance you could consider joining us?

I just checked out the link

Are these the tools you speak of

What do they do.

I can tell with basic knowledge that one of them patches up the eboot

Funny enough i have all the Sakurasou PSP script files if you ever want them (don't have a way to repack them though)

I was planning on starting a project for it but stalled it indefinitely.

Well, good luck either way, i really want to see a translation for Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukinai. Give me that Sena route!

I extracted the scripts for Oreimo with QuickBMS and the same worked for Haganai. I'm not entirely sure if it extracted all strings but I cba to check it. The format is the same as the first Oreimo, Toradora, but most of our written tools now are for the Oreimo Tsuzuku engine, which is slightly newer than the other 3.

As I did all the images for Oreimo and Toradora with the same format, I may be willing to do it for this project as well. I'm no specialist at it but it has somehow worked.

I assume Toradora tools are compatible with Haganai. The QuickBMS related stuff is here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/iftgiv33weuq80g/AACLrE_szXkoRSOXwiLW1UEma?dl=0

PMF or video files may be editable, the tools I used for doing them have been very fragile but I wrote a guide (mostly for myself, because it's a stupid process) and it worked for Oreimo Tsuzuku. http://pastebin.com/T7UezdiE

I actually don't think I'll even do it, or at least not anytime soon because I have other things I want to focus on, namely improving my own skills, hence why I asked if you wanted the scripts.

If I ever decide to start a project for anything in the future, it won't be for Sakurasou, probably.

That's sad news to hear but please by all means create a thread for this and I'm sure someone will take those scripts of your hands

I am actually reading the volume 7 of Boku wa tomodachi ga sukunai. I am a great fan and the psp game is one of the main point I am learning japanese (and Chaos Head Noah and some other).

I really would like to join this project but I am neither native english speaker neither skilled in japanese.

I wish you good luck with all my heart, I can't really help with the translation but if you have some trouble about the hack I know a legend whom hacked several ps2 game ( atelier iris, Marie, Mana khemia etc ). He is a very good friend of mine so if you need anything I can always ask him. The guy even remade the patch of I/O so that it can be available for windows xp since the old one was not.

Anyway I will always follow you, your progress and all. thank you for picking this project. Even yesterday evening I was still reading the Light Novel (I am actually in the "The second Time" chapter)

By the way, is the Light Novel finished or still ongoing? What are the 2 "Universe"?

But thank you for your feedback and your eagerness to help us out.
