The "prequels" don't really count since the series doesn't happen in chronological order anyways and they wouldn't make that much sense if you haven't seen the other stuff first. I think you should extend how long we have to watch a series for the longer series...it's just not a feasible amount of time for people who work for a living and who also wish to keep up with the current season of shows.
